Character: (Other people should do this! I'm bored)
Hi.
My name is Myth. Myth Dragon.
My real name won't be revealed. It's secret, and in me and my father's order, it is two words of power. To let your family name out is to reveal minor power, of your ancestory and your history. To let your personal name out is to reveal major power, of what and who you are now, and of what and who you are tomorrow and yesterday, for all eternity.
I earned my alias because I loved stories as a child, and my favorites were of dragons. Because my father believes dragons to be a myth, he called me, "Myth Dragon." It was a source of constant amusement, and I grew to like it.
My father's real name is also unknown. I'm his apprentice: he's a Blademaster. We're an order that's meant to collect all the Relics we can find, and keep track of as many Evokers as possible. We have tons of Relics, passed down from Blademaster to apprentice. We apparently used to use Relic swords, back when we first started out after the fall of... well, even we can't remember the name of the kingdom. Apparently they eventually became too obvious. Or something. Or maybe they were just custom swords. No one knows for sure anymore. Anyways, we're supposed to be looking for Relics, and in the case of them Choosing someone, keeping track of them and their powers. We have our contacts, that are aligned to the Blademasters, who are always numbering less than a dozen. There are hundreds of estates that hold their own treasure trove of that generation's Relics and Evokers, where they could be found. My dad told me that apparently, while every Blademaster is also an Evoker, all our Relics have something in common, generation after generation: at our prime, we live longer than anyone. My dad won't tell me how old he is, even though he only looks like he's forty. I myself am thirty-ish, and yet people always think I'm younger... still in my prime. I've trained to be a Blademaster, and was given these gauntlets when I was fifteen. I suppose he was right. In addition, I can use lightning. The only reason I beat my dad in any of our spars was because I zapped him when he was stunned, which was rare. He's sparred with me since I was ten, and even after fifteen years, I could never beat him of my own strength and speed. My gauntlets are good for punching, and can deflect or even break a swordblade, and I can zap anyone instantly, provided I'm building up the energy beforehand. Once i have it, I can let it go at the right moment. Hard to beat that which moves faster than any arrow, right?
Anyways, I'm on a mission. I've got several things: Meet a dragon, see the King, make a reputation. In order to become a Blademaster, I have to swear fealty to any King who supports Evokers. If this King does so, then I will swear fealty if I can ever get an audience. However, that won't be happening. It'd take months, maybe even more than a year, to gain audience, and I can't wait that long. I have to start finding Relics and Evokers, and if there is a King who provides protection for Evokers, then I must gain his help. I only hope that he knows of the Blademasters, even if from a bedtime story.
