Well I'm going to go with a Elvish Byzantine Empire like nation with heavy influences on Hellenistic and Roman culture with a renaissance environment and certain advances in steampunk technology.

Am I to understand that there is no magic or otherwise supernatural phenomenon in this setting? I had ideas for a Lovecraft-inspired seafaring/backwater nation but they stretch the boundaries of "soft sci-fi" into "science fantasy."

Is there a uniform timeline already used? I'm making my own historical measurement but I need something to compare it with.
And would you mind if I made a really influential monotheistic religion like Christianity?
Edit: Also would you mind if I made an abandoned city due west of my location which would serve as the former city of an Empire that once ruled over my current one? Like the ruins of Rome to my Constantinople.

Hey Rhymer, I just looked at your NS and it seems that you've overlapped a bit of my claimed territory (actually, you own all of my claimed territory). If you wouldn't mind, I'd really appreciate it if you moved your eastern border west a bit, perhaps splitting the Bilnula mountains in half, as I've already claimed the valley-like area between the Crown Spires and Bilnula Mountains. I know it cuts a bit out of your nation, but I sort of have my heart set on that region, and reserved it five days or so ago. If you want to get the positioning to be more exact, feel free to shoot me a PM, or you could just move out of the valley-like area and that'd be fine as well. Thanks

Anyway, my sheet should certainly be up this weekend. I've had a bit of a hectic week, but that shouldn't be the norm.
