One Day Before...
Auggie sat alone on his front porch, watching and waiting for something to happen. He had been alone for a few hours, actually spending some peace and quiet to himself. His parents had gone out, and this allowed him some time to just cool off and be real. Watching his dogs run back and forth after one another in his yard was no fun, but it did at least keep the peace. Brennen, his hometown, was known for being a quiet, quaint, and homely place. He ran his hands through his thick hair as the dogs chased after each others tail, playfully barking. That's when the buzzing and ringing of his cellphone broke the silence.
"We're done," Auggie muttered, reading the text message. "We're done?" He repeated and mouthed the words a few more times as it sank in. As the words sunk into his brain he quickly responded back to the text, shouting, "We're done when I say so!" Hitting the send button, his face flushed with fire and heat, becoming angrier by the second. He griped his phone tightly, biting his lip with nervousness and anger.
"She's going to regret this," he said as his dogs neared him. The West youth patted his dogs with love, showing no trace or ounce of anger in his face or touch. He was good at that, acting. He even acted different in front of his dogs, something which he felt was a natural thing to do. Hide your true self from everyone, as he just learned from his text message.
"Oh she'll regret it," Auggie smiled, petting his dogs.
