Chase nodded. "Well, I think I can handle that. If you can handle the rest, I can start lessons as soon as you need me to," she said. Reina found the whole situation kind of funny; despite the fact that she was better at theories, Chase was the one who got a job at teaching it. Well, she supposed it was because she was good at theories that she didn't have time for teaching it, since she needed to be researching instead.
Meruin pouted as she felt magic flow through the book. "Cheater," she muttered pettily. She didn't really have anything against instant learning spells, but all of the books that Master Reina gave her had to be learned before they could be used. Even 'Golden Authority' from Chase worked under the same principle.
Reina walked towards Meruin. "Well, my small apprentice, I do think it's time for me to go. Take care of yourself, all right?"
Meruin nodded, a little disappointed that Reina was leaving so soon, still she did her best to smile for her Master. "Yeth- I mean, yes!" squeaked Meruin. Reina laughed. "Aah, it's good to know that even after all these years you still lisp when you get sad." The tall woman hugged Meruin one final time, bowed to the Headmaster, then disappeared.
Chase smirked. "Well, there she goes, leaving me - sorta - stuck with you. I'll be leaving in five days time, and I don't know when I'll be back. You know how dimension hopping works."
