Chifun province

It was around midday, people working on the fields, forging weapons, carrying goods or trading, the children running across the squareplaying hide-and-seek or other games.
The weather was perfect for fishing or take a walk.
The doors of Governor's office were usually open so anyone who had problems could get help but today they were closed, a scout had arrived with a report.
"You saw the bandits!?" Sonken asket and took her sword, then ordered aguard to prepare her horse and 1000 horsemen. Meanwhile Sonken put on her armor and helmet, ready to catch the bandits.
Once the horsemen were ready the city gates opened and the group left to the border near Jing

Chuluu smiled as her last foe attempted to spin only to be kicked in the butt and a hit with the back of the spear. The gangers scurried away and she and the others smiled at each other. "another one bites the dust" the girl said placing her spear down as a walking stick and looking to the men around her. The men they had beaten happened to be pirates going down the river to attack inner provinces. Still they were made quick work of the men away from there boat, having a few of there stealthier men burn down there boat, the group was defenseless. Chuluu looked at the others wth pride but frowned when she felt something on her leg, not this guy. "oh chuluu you were amazing out there, like a beautiful gazelle, so fast and qui-" The man said getting to close until cut off by a punch to the gut, forcing the man to the ground. "oh gou hen will you learn that flattery will get you no were, drinks on me guys" The girl said as they walked back to there post waiting for something to get out of there job for the day.

South-Eastern parts of Shu, just past the border to southern Wu

The army of Wen Zhao marched divided, four columns - in each column groups of archers were marching in the front, with shield bearers surrounding their fronts and sides, flanked by spear and swordsmen. Behind the infantry rode the light and heavy cavalry units. In the back - protecting the supply carriages - rode the unit of heavy cavalry archers and the Feared Strategist himself. They had made small incursions to the lands of the Wu for a good while now, occasionally pillaging a village here and there, but they had retreated whenever one of the armies of Wu would show up - always in an orderly fashion, without showing even a hint of fear.

Wen Zhao knew when to retreat and when to attack, he knew when to use force and when to rely on diplomacy, when to appear weak and when to appear strong. He brought his forces to a halt on a hilltop overlooking a village - it was slightly larger than most they had encountered thus far, but it had very little in the way of defenses. A handful of men at most, mostly farmers. The army took up good positions from the top of the hill, light cavalry was sent out to scout while the infantry and archers took formations - the archers and shield bearers on the front, followed by heavy infantry - swordsmen in the middle and spears on the flanks, the light infantry concentrated to the left flank while the heavy cavalry - both melee and archers - took up positions at the right flank.

Wen Zhao smiled faintly, such a small village could be easily intimidated in to giving supplies and information even without bloodshed.
