Maybe the current wave of Dead can be obliterated. Then they get a rest. Then shortly after another wave of the Dead comes? They will see the new wave coming but the gap between the two will give some rest and preparation.I'm not sure when Cyphers group is coming but maybe the 2nd wave of the Dead can come after Cypher's group causing them to fight together?

If Cypher were to draw the second wave in and fight alongside them would it be called riding the wave?

And I think the two fighting together is nearly out of the question considering the relations of Jacob and the other group.
