I've been stalk-lurking this site for a while and the burnout on my other roleplaying ressources has now finally driven me to create an account and give it a chance.
I'd call myself an experienced RPer with multiple years worth of roleplay behind me, in form of chats, games and skype convos. This shall be my first forum experience on the matter. I'm most likely fitting into the casual category with ambition to move into high casual, possibly even low advanced once I grow accustomed to how this works. I'm working hard to uphold a certain amount of linguistic propriety in choice of words and grammar, and while I'm aware that expecting the same from others is rather futile, I do have a strong allergy to 'chat speak' being used in RP circumstances (no, you don't save anywhere near enough time typing 'u' instead of 'you' to warrant this butchery of language).
My general fields of interest lie in a good number of games, anime and literature too numerous to realistically make a list of. The more of the following list of attributes fits the lore in item in question, the more likely I'm into it:
dark/grimdark, fantasy, dystopia, drama, thriller, mystery, horror, suspense, anything lovecraftian, mild supernatural powers, tragedy - optionally but not necessarily in context with love, morally gray areas, broken - in a katawa shoujo kind of way - characters.
I'm not a huge fan of combat RP, which is often mirrored in the way my characters react to confrontation, so while not completely averse to it, I tend to weasel my way out of it. Other than that, I can't think of any specific RP-wise limitations... ah well, let's exclude harem rp, just in case.
