The Museum of Otherworldly History opened a new exhibit today. Ever since the Fenton's found the ghost world, made the entire world turn invisible and let a comet pass through it, the ghost world was a well known thing. The Museum now had it's own, functioning but inactive ghost portal. It lay unplugged and, if not for janitors, it would be gathering dust. Many people would jokingly walk up to it and take pictures in it, pressing the button to turn it on while making awkward poses. If you had a social life or a Facebook, you've seen these pictures. The machine always had a camera pointed at it, but most security was centered around the more powerful exhibits or the haunted items that needed to be watched in the chances of them acting up.
This is where we meet our young protagonist, one of many, Mark Baren. Mark Baren would visit the museum regularly, as you could smoke inside of it. The smoke alarms were disabled because of ghost mist stuff always setting them off, he and many others came here for the same reasons. Mark wasn't a regular, like most. He only smoked occasionally and would sometimes find his way to the museum. Today he saw a group of people all looking at the machine, and his good friend Marquis was actually there.
"Marquis! Ha-hey how's it been?" He said as he looked at the machine with some girls posing in it, and a few other people were simply standing nearby. He saw a plug behind it on the ground.
