My faction won't need much in the way of territory. They're about a dozen men strong, their hundred-some-odd mooks aside. Somewhere in New England would be ideal.

I have faction-based antagonists planned as well, for whatever they can be used for.

I'm between Japan and the U.S. My faction kind of needs a lot of land so I'm just being placed in the ocean as if there's another continent, if no one minds. . . or if I absolutely must use the land masses on the map, Australia OR Indonesia.

Alright. Most members are going Copenhagen Coalition, which is the neutral faction. I'll allow a second major faction to be apped if you have a faction in the CC, then you can app one in the Directorate or UDF. We really need more balanced coalitions at this point.

Also, we need leadership for the UDF and Directorate. If no one is applying the leader of the UDF, I will make their leader faction as an example for the application process.

I would prefer you use an established land mass, and Australia probably works best considering the amount of land you get. Also, everyone remember that the resources on Earth are exactly like ours and are placed in the same places. This means that special elements or materials that only exist in your factions universe don't transfer over. However, there will be a solution to factions that heavily rely on their special materials early on in the RP, so don't let this discourage you from using such factions.

In regards to land claiming; we're not at that point yet, but you guys are free to draw borders among yourselves. An Earth based countries homeland always takes precedence; for example, if I apped the United States, I would get the US' current borders, no questions asked. Or, if someone apped CnC USSR; they would get Russia, no questions asked. However, external holdings such as the USSRs ownership of eastern Europe will only be given to them if no one else claims those lands by the time that faction is approved.

Another thing to keep in mind is faction size, and there will be limits to how large a population your faction can have. Having a larger population means you can own more land, but there is a limit to that as well; you simply can't claim all of Europe for, say, a fictional USSR. Satellites to your nations homeland(For example, South America to Code Geass' Britannia) may be allowed depending on size constraints of the roleplay, the case in question, and so on. Britannia is guaranteed the United States and perhaps Canada if applied; whether or not it gets South America depends on if anyone else wants it and factors present at that time. This is of course, just an example.

But yes, we need moar people in the other two coalitions.

The problem is that my Faction has many autonomous states in it. . . so it has to be in Copenhagen. ::Shrug::

That's fine. You can keep using what you have or app a second faction. What I said was basically just a suggestion at this point. I'm just worried about the other two coalitions having people in them.

A Log Horizon faction would be directly competing for Japanese home territory, so I'll drop it.

I could go UDF with the Atlantic Federation in Europe. It would actually make much, much more sense geopolitically now that I think of it, since it is essentially NATO. But that also means a good portion of Europe, and I'm hesitant to go for it since I'm sure that would close off a lot of factions for others.

My faction's kinda small, so I intend on taking a simple, small location somewhere that I can launch air missions with relative ease. Not sure which Coalition I'll put my hat in with, but since I'm essentially just a squadron of elites, it probably won't be a big deal.

It depends on what you want to do. You can always consolidate them to one or two countries in Europe, rather than taking all of it; you don't have to bring your entire faction into this. As of what I've seen, Asia seems to be the popular area right now anyway.

Alrighty~

Seeing what lands the coalitions take may help you out on that.

Alrighty then. Would something like the main NATO nations + Germany be reasonable?

So, UK, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, maybe Italy?

The Order of the Raven may end up a neutral party, rather than being assigned to any particular Coalition.

It occurs to me that an entire squadron of Witches basically wreck everything, but I think it'll be balanced out by the fact that I assume I'll only have access to eleven Striker Units and eleven Witches.

Don't be too sure. My faction basically takes the magic/tech fusion of the Witches and pushes it to a Mecha scale. Imagine a building-sized Warlock, just for an idea. Luckily there are only nine Deus Machina in the Order of the Raven.

...And here I was thinking that we could have fun interactions with our two magical factions... Perhaps best not.

Hm, I'll say I'm interested. Ideally, I'd be the Colonial Defense Forces from Old Man's War, but if that's too OP (which it may be), then I'll think up something else. Maybe Atlantis from SGA (Sans ZPM for fairness sake). Or Zeon from Gundam UC. But let's see if the GM thinks my first idea is OP
