Magebane, eh? A nice, non-lethal and battlefield control thing. I wonder if I can find a way to use syringe like darts (similar to a tranquilizer dart) in regular weapons......

Also, to have acquired the powers, is it possible for the power set to have originally materialized in the family just before what is considered modern history, and then skip generations every so often, and shows up when one of the family with the power-set touches an object with the intent to use it as a weapon? Not very well-worded, I know, but I hope you get the idea. That way I could make jokes about Audie Murphy being my character's grandfather
