I'm going to assume you're fairly new here. This place is designated to the actual story portion, therefore called the IC (In character). The OOC (out of character) is where you post everything else, including this question.

And to answer your question yes and please go to the OOC part of this thread if you have more questions.

Actual starting post

Connor's eyes crept open up into the sky. It was a beautiful day out with the summer just seeping in. He was in the middle of a fairly large meadow, with a forest surrounding him. He heard something nearby and quickly looked down. It was another person just waking up, and then another, and another. There were lots of others waking up now, coming to the same realization he had then asking the same questions. Where were they? Why were they here?

He remembered what happened last night. The hunters he was with had been finally returning after engaging with a vampire nest. Rand had left the base to go get some drinks at a bar and left Connor alone. Connor hadn't been too worried about it and was keeping track of the group's GPS on the computer when...what happened? He remembered a nauseous feeling in his head, then something hard. Had someone sneaked up from behind that easily?

Connor looked over at everyone, seeing if he recognized anyone. For a long time he saw no one, when he suddenly saw his trainer Rand. Connor breathed a sigh of relief and ran over to him.

Connor noticed that Rand had the same look as he did as he ran over. Rand stayed sitting down, staring at his surroundings. When Connor came up next to Rand, he continued staring out.

“Rand?” Connor asked, unsure of what Rand would say.

“Can I safely guess that I didn’t get drunk last night?” Rand asked, still staring outward. “And that you were also knocked unconscious to wake up here?”

Connor gave a slight nod. “Yes but…”

Rand stared over at Connor, a small bit of fear in his eyes. “No phone either? No weapons at all?”

The new hunter checked his pockets, seeing that Rand’s guesses were right. “I…”

Rand slowly got up and looked over at the others. “I have a very bad feeling, and I have no idea what I should do.”
The Manager approached his office and entered inside. The two guards snapped to attention as he came in, then went back to ease. The Manager smiled and strode over to his desk, sitting down and reclining back.

Today was going to be quite an interesting day. It was the day of their annual human hunting that they had been hosting for quite some time now. It was one of the most popular events there and for a very good reason so. Who else could keep weaponless humans ensnared for some happy guests than himself? The Manager smiled, picking up his microphone.

The supernatural guests who had signed up to infiltrate as fellow humans should already be there, and the humans themselves starting to wake up. In about an hour the Manager would officially start the hunting, opening the secret doors for the supernatural to emerge and the infiltrators to reveal themselves if they chose to.

“Hello everyone good morning!” The Manager said on his mic. “As you all know we are beginning our annual hunt! We have some very nice picks for you today, including several hunters that I know several of you would love as a trophy! Now as a reminder of the rules, no attacking a fellow supernatural, no attacks on the dome, and, of course, no true assistance to the humans! The humans are currently waking up as you can see from our live camera feed and the doors will be unlocked in an hour! Good luck!”
Nixon stood by one of the exit doors, rocking his head back and forth. It had been quite some time since he had participated in a hunting event, in fact the last time was a very vague memory. He had finally gotten off the trafficking job from the past three years and got his big break back to the resort. Now he would get to enjoy the humans he had a part in sending here!

Voices echoed in his head, screaming voices, loud voices, crying voices. Were some of those voices his? He couldn’t tell anymore, and had stopped a while ago. Those voices had been ringing in him for years. Was it years? Or just three? He couldn’t remember. Really all he had to focus on was the hunt. It’d be nice to get a good girl this year, one who didn’t break so quickly as the others did. So many...uh…test subjects turned to fodder over his work years, completely useless.

Nixon perked up as he heard the Manager begin to speak on the intercom and the live feed show up on the TV. Nixon gave a large grin. Just an hour, then he’d have some fun...

Paige's eyes fluttered open. Her head ached and her mouth was cottony. She laid there momentarily, afraid to move. Closing her eyes she tried to gather as much information about her surroundings as she could without her eyes.
She could hear wind going through trees and grass. She could hear voices of other... people? Taking a deep breath she slowly sat up and looked around. There were definitely others scattered about, but were they all human? Since her attack a few years ago sure had decided that you couldn't really ever tell who the real monsters were nowadays. She felt exposed out in the open. She reached for her Smith&Wesson pistol from its holster on her hip but grasped nothing but air. She looked down and saw that her holster wasn't there. She reached into her boot for her knife and saw that it, too, was missing. "This can't be good." She said to herself. Trying to gather herself up to stand she felt a little dizzy, but pushed through it. Wherever she was and whatever was wrong she needed to get to somewhere more defensible, and she needed a weapon. .. or two.

Luca was prancing around the exit doors, excited for the yearly hunt. One of the only things that kept her sane at this point was hunting. Not only did it feel amazing to hunt down and kill prey, but fresh meat always hit the spot. Luca often found herself hunting after deer, or smaller prey if she was just bored. But something about hunting humans was extra exciting. Luca no longer associated herself as a human, although she was one many, many, years ago.

She wasn't sure if she would be able to wait the whole hour, she felt like she was about to burst from the excitement. She silently thanked the Manager for providing her with an opportunity to hunt.

With a puppy like excitement, Luca looked around at the other supernaturals. She hoped up and down, unable to contain her energy. "Come on! Come on!" A howl ripping from her human throat.

Edward teleported into the manager's office uninvited as he had a bad habit of doing. Her decided that this quite a special day, so he should wear something for the occasion. What he wore under his robes remained largely the same, and largely invisible anyways however he decided to wear a much fancier robe than normal. Inside of a solid color robe, Edward wore a robe that was mostly black but around the arms and the ends of his robe were two parallal bands, one being red the other purple. The hood, which he keep down as he normally did, was also primary black but with a crown like pattern in red with a jewel-like pattern in the center which was purple. All together, he thought it looked rather nice on him.

"Oh dear, glorious and magnificent Manager-king, how may I serve you today." he said, taking a bow though it rather apparent he was being sarcastic as usual. "Ok, in all seriousness, you probably realize that my magic, while strong, makes something like a hunt, rather inconvenient. I presume whatever ancient's produced it did it on propose, however having to use some creativity never killed anyone, at least not on accident. However, I do have plans for today later on in the day. I need something to occupy the time until then. I plan to pick out a personal "assistant", however I would rather pick from the weak and pathetic who would piss their pants at the first sign of magic, so I will just allow the werewolves to there thing for awhile before finding out who the luckily slave would be. However, there is no point doing absolutely nothing until that point."

"We shouldn't be here, Jaitheia. We should be out looking for a pack. I never wanted to work for this manager in a place where other supernatural can torture or whatever they do to humans." A short young girl growled at the taller woman walking in front of her. She stopped suddenly as she looked up to see Jaitheia turned to glare at her. It won't be the first time if she turns and attacks her, and it won't be the last. "We don't have a choice, Ishiya. Even if we did find a pack, they won't accept us." Jaitheia growled as she shook her head when she suddenly had a bad headache forming. She had a feeling that Ishiya is not doing to cooperate if this is any indication of it. Ishiya shoulders stiffen when she heard the announcement, and relaxed, little bit, when Jaitheia put a hand on her shoulder. "This day is going to be fun." She muttered under her breath until a growling came from her stomach. It has been a long while since she last hunted, but she can't let it get her distracted. Even if given the choice, she won't hunt any humans that had the unfortunate luck of being here...she was only here because of her sister. If she had any choice, she would stay far away from this place.
Azuriel opened his one good eye and saw that he was at grass level. He pushed himself up with a groan and started to look around. Stopping occasionally when he saw someone else waking up and then another. "What is going on here." He muttered until he noticed that a young woman about his age had her eyes covered up and was muttering to herself. "What are you staring at, Scarface? So I have some mental issues. So bloody what." The rudeness caught him off guard and he looked away without giving her an answer. She snorted as he turned away while she touched the ruby necklace she keeps around her neck. That was what she always tell others when she has one of her sudden outbursts. Ilytise had the foresight to warn her about the hunters that would kill her just by being a host to a supernatural creature, or more so a type of spirit in Ilytise's case. She wasn't irritated that she was surrounded by people she doesn't know, she's irritated that she had to be in sunlight.

It was dark. She was alone. She knew she was awake yet her body refused to respond to her will. The voices and sounds were tormenting her psyche; she couldn't bear it any longer. Suddenly, she jolted awake; her breath was heavy and pained. Dr. Thorne sat up as her very breath became a conscious effort. She felt the soft grass at her fingertips, the still breeze on her face, and the moisture of the environment on her skin. Thorne rubbed her head as she fumbled for the glasses that she always kept in her pocket. With a slight tug, Thorne grabbed her glasses and put them on, giving her a clear glimpse of the world around her. Thorne looked around wearily, she noticed some other hazy figures who were walking about, apparently awakened from their dreamless slumber.

"What the---?" Thorne mumbled as she tried to stand, but her knees gave way and she plopped to the ground within a heartbeat. "Damn. Calm down.." Thorne chanted to herself as she bit her soft thumb in an attempt to not lose her sanity. "Have I been abducted? If that's the case--" Thorne attempted to make use of her logic in order to find a rational reason behind all of these. "Curses... It must be that Chriss." she mumbled silently before grunting and heaving herself up. Thorne stood up awkwardly as she felt her legs still weakened beneath her weight. She limped over to a nearby tree as she leaned on it. "This must be the one where I get abducted, and possibly killed; worse, raped. How do I get out of here?!" Thorne pounded her fist on the tree as she realized that she was helpless, clueless, and worthless under these conditions. What's a PhD when she can't even save her own skin? A dissertation ain't gonna regrow her limb as far as science is concerned.

Thorne tried to recall the things that happened so far. She was currently finishing her paper on Paranormal Environmental Changes. Next, one of her research assistants handed her an Oolong tea. As always the tea was served in her favorite pink furry cat styled cup. The last thing she remembered was her taking a sip of the tea before her eyes lose their light.

"So that Research Assistant was Chriss' culprit huh? I still don't get it... if Chriss wanted to abduct me, why include these other people?" Thorne panted as she strove to breath in oxygen for her brain to keep working. Her breaths began to get more painful and conscious... it seems even though she looked calm, her mind was in anarchy. Thorne gripped her chest as she focused on breathing before anything else... If Chriss was the one behind all of this, she would first shove her own D (doctorate) up his ass before she would get raped or killed. She might get killed, but Thorne has no intention to just roll over and die without a fight.

This place, really? Was this the best place for a hunt today? The Manager, or whoever was in charge could've picked a better place. Too many hiding places for these...ugh, humans. I see a few handsome boys that would make great slaves, or toys. What's that? CRAP! Some are waking up, I better act like I'm sleep, or this whole cover will go down the shit hole. Dumb human, wish he would move over. I'll just kick him over to the side. Ha, his moaning that's funny, he'll be doing more then moaning, after I'm done. There's Nixon, I saw him in a few hunts before, he is a psychopath, but he was good at tracking down humans. Maybe I should work with him, to get some servants for me. "Hi Nixon, watch how I play these dumb humans." Now time to act like I'm asleep and hurt. A perfect plan, a beautiful lady in trouble. The human guys would fall for it, the best trick in my books of tricks and secrets. This better pay off, getting dirt all over my new dress. "Oh Oh Oh, were am I?! I'm so scared!" It wasn't my best but hey I haven't been in a hunt for awhile, give me a break. I wonder how long it would take for someone to come over, and see if I'm ok. Someone better come over, or I'll make these "men" rip through all these pathetic women, and then kill themselves.

Rand looked over the group, unsure of what to do or say. If this was what he suspected, he did not want to stir a panic. “Connor, check the field, look for anything useful, I’ll try to calm this group down,” Rand ordered. Connor gave a brief nod and walked off, making a wide circle around where they were.

Rand stood straighter, peering over everyone in the group. Many seemed confused, several seemingly irritated or angry, and one girl seemed to be having a panic attack. Rand frowned, if one girl was scared that could spread quickly, and it’d be harder to keep them together and calm.

The hunter approached the girl who had cried out, getting on a knee to her level. She had dirt all over and seemed quite cute, but he shouldn’t be thinking about that right now. Oh I hate doing this, Rand thought. He was not the leader type, but it already seemed like he needed to be one. “Hey, are you alright?” Rand asked the girl, giving a small smile. Getting her calm was the first priority, then getting everyone out of here would be the second. “You’re alright, I can’t answer your questions but I’ll keep you safe alright?”
Nixon smirked as he looked over at the jumpy lycan. “I know, waiting an hour is never fun. Maybe I should’ve found a trickster to jump me ahead of time,” he said to her. The countdown timer continued as Nixon watched the cameras, seeing Pandora already start her innocent act. He’d wonder how many she’d get from this one. He could remember other hunts with her vaguely but...they still seemed off. That was strange, he could remember who she was but not how specifically.

Nixon shook his head and sat near the door. He blinked away for a couple seconds then blinked back holding his black spear. It was a gift from the Manager after his long service, and it had served nicely. Nixon twirled the spear, eyeing it carefully. Were there any hunters in the group? Knowing the Manager that was a probably. He’d have to watch those ones, see if there was a challenge. Nixon grinned, challenges were always fun to handle.
The Manager looked away from his monitor and stared over at Edward. The wizard had proved helpful in many circumstances but he was double-edged in some cases. “There’s enough humans to go around for a new pet of yours,” the Manager said. “But I agree that you could be doing something useful in the meantime.” The Manager peered back at his monitor. “Ah, could you check on Nixon for me? He may need another one of his doses fairly soon and Sarah isn’t back from her trip to give it to him. Just call me up if there’s a problem.”

Paige frowned as she heard a young woman panicking. "Oh, come on." She said rolling her eyes.He looked around to see if she could find anything close to be used as a weapon, but didn't see much more than twigs. She might have to go into the trees to find something. She moved closer to the group warily; safety in numbers right? She admired the effort one of the guys made to calm a young woman down, and tried to calm her irritation down. She felt uneasy, as if she was being watched, so she looked around some before focusing on the group. She would wait to see if there was a plan, and if not then she was striking out on her own...again. She liked solo hunts. She wondered if her dad noticed she was missing. Probably not. He was busy on a lychan thing...somewhere. Actually, she didn't know. She couldn't tell how long she had been here.

Edward eye raised a bit, "Doses? I have not keep up with this Nixon person, I have heard his name, and I know he is insane like I am, though I am unsure to what extent. What is this? Some sort of medicine to keep him in check? I don't have much interest in the trappers, so I make sure their blades or claws aren't pointed at me, but not much further that. If this is just something I need to inject into him, I can make it very simple, just allow me to case one sleep spell on him, the needle goes in, the needle goes out, I teleport out, and he wakes up. I will only need him asleep for like five minutes to do that."

'You don't want to become weaker than you already are with all these humans around. They won't understand your position. The elemental reminded Sai'tioula as she made her way to a shady tree that was some ways from the group. It irritated her to no end that Ilytise kept of reminding her of the same damn thing over and over again. "I damn well know already, just shut up about it!" Didn't matter to her that the others heard her just yelling at thin air. When she noticed that the young man she had insulted was looking straight at her and it was then she noticed that he had a scar across his eye that was milky white. He shook his head while she laughed at something that she only knew about. "I know that I called you scarface, I didn't know it was literally true!" It took all that Azuriel had not to call her a escape asylum patient, so he paid more attention when he heard someone panicking.
Ishiya ignored her sister calling out to her when she started down the hallway. Ten years after she got bitten when she witnessed Jaitheia being attacked, she never gotten rid of the aggressiveness that newly turned lycans always tend to have. If she transform and attack, then there would have been a punishment for attacking fellow supernaturals. Pulling a pick from her boot Ishiya took some time to pick the lock of a door so she could take some time to clear her mind. "Don't let it get to you. Jaitheia always knew what buttons to push to get you angry." She muttered to herself as she took deep breaths between sentences while she settled down in a corner. Knowing her luck one of the higher ups will find her in a room that she isn't supposed to be in.

Thorne gripped her chest as she breathed in deeply. Suddenly, she felt her heart begin to beat normally. She had just one of those panic and asthma attacks. It wasn't new, but it doesn't mean she liked it. The girl used the tree's trunk to balance herself as she looked straight ahead. From the corner of her eye, she saw someone who was observing her; there was a guy with snow-white hair, pale skin, crimson eyes, and finally, a scar that ran down across his left eye. The lad intrigued Thorne because it was quite rare to see someone of his condition. Albinism? Hair dye? Trauma and accident? All the possibilities were good for research. Wait a minute! All the morbid thoughts vanished from Thorne's mind when science came around.

Thorne realized that if she would maintain her sanity, she would have to occupy her mind. Picking herself up, and shaking the dust off of her, Thorne waved to the guy weakly. She slowly approached him, a bit anxious that she would scare him off. "Hey." Thorne greeted the lad weakly as she swallowed her saliva. "I don't really know how to talk to people... So, I think I'll get straight to the point. You got abducted as well?" Thorne tried to smile as she brushed her hair away from her face. Thorne began to observe the lad, just as a scientist would.

The boy had burns... Wait, scratch that. The boy had EXTREME burns on his left arm. It seemed that whatever scorched the guy was enough to cause at least a 2nd or 3rd degree immolation. She looked up, noticing that the lad was apparently into piercings; the guy's ears were riddled with piercings, well, except the one with only three. Thorne also looked at the boy's eyes, amazed at the crimson shade; in fact, she was more drawn to the crimson shade than the scar. "Albino." Thorne mumbled silently to herself as she snapped back to reality. She then shook her head as she looked at the lad once more.

"Sorry for staring..." Thorne let out an awkward laugh as she stretched out her arm. She didn't like shaking hands, but it was the social convention. "I'm Dr. Thorne Rauss. You can call me Thor, Thorne, or even Rauss. Feel free." Thorne chuckled. "What's yours?"

Wow that was easier then I thought it would be. I guess I'm not soo rusty like I thought I was. This guy is really cute, maybe I'll keep him around longer then the rest. He could kill off the other supernaturals and then I'll just hypnotize him after and take him for myself. "Oh are you sure you can keep me safe, all these...things are going to try and hunt us down." Playing the cute, sweet, innocent girl always works. Now time to put on the charm, just fall into his arms. "Oh I'm so sorry, it's just I feel so weak and your so strong." I think I might throw up after this. Whatever gets me the more men the better, right? Fix my dress, finger comb my hair. I just wish I could use my powers right now to clean myself off, what's the point of water powers when I can't even use them. "I'm Pan...Penny." Penny? What the fuck, great cover name. "What's your name" After I work on him, on to some more victims. Maybe I'll take out that blonde bitch, that rolled her eyes at me first for fun.

The Manager tapped his hand against the desk, looking up in the air. “I’m not honestly sure of the details by too much. All I truly know is that his insanity has been...leaking for a while now. I don’t want one of my best guards to succumb to such a condition and therefore I had Sarah produce a specimen in order to assist him with the condition. It seems to be healing him but he needs his constant dosage. There should be no need for him falling asleep as he is used to it by now, although some convincing may be necessary.” The Manager indicated a cupboard to the left of Edward. “There’s several in there. One needle is enough. Thanks.”
Rand raised his eyebrows in curiosity as Penny spoke, and was surprised as she suddenly fell right into his arms. He was never good with girls, and now should’ve been the time. She did seem scared though, and someone panicking was the last thing he wanted. Rand shook his head and said, “It’s Rand. Look, I’ll make sure that you’ll stay safe alright? We’ll get ourselves out of here. I just need you to keep calm alright?” Something was nagging at him, something that Penny just said, but Rand couldn’t detect what it was.
Connor rolled his eyes as the girl Rand tried to calm down fell into his arms. He sighed, wishing that he could just get girls like that. Now’s not the time, Connor thought as he continued circling the group. Nothing stirred in the woods, and the place actually seemed pleasant. He would’ve loved to camp out here, but they did all wake up after being kidnapped. After Connor completed a circle, he looked over at the group and scanned everyone. An Albino boy speaking with a girl, Rand and the panicky girl, one girl scanning over everyone, and...someone yelling at the air? That was certainly strange.

For several years Rand had taught him about supernatural signs, and someone yelling to no one was always a bad sign. Connor sighed, he had never been the social one. The hunter shook his head and approached the girl who was yelling. “Hey, you alright? Just noticed you yelling up into the air.” Sure, that was a great conversation starter, but it was all he had.

Azuriel didn't say anything right away, seeing that he was just as awkward being around anybody let alone talking. "Its Azuriel. Just that, no nickname, no last name." As a common habit, he hid his arm behind his back and shook Thorne's hand with his other hand. The staring didn't bother him, he had to deal with it ever since he left the hospital. "Abducted? Assulted is more like it." He said with a scoff as he couldn't figure out why someone would think that giving him more problems with his memory was a good thing. It didn't make any sense that they were all in the middle of a clearing in a forest. Talking about this wasn't doing any wonders for his headache that he woke up with.
Sai'tioula silently cursed at herself as she caught herself forming a small knife in her hand with shadows when someone came to see if she was alright. At lease her hand was where he wouldn't see what she was doing. "Y-yeah, I have some kind of mental problems that I talk to people that's not there. Other than I don't know how I got here, I am fine really." She fought from having to yell at Ilytise to stop her snickering that she absently started to trace the faint pattern of a four armed dragon that was engraved on it. This was really the only thing that can get her to not yell where everyone can hear her. Until this hunt can get underway, she have to make sure that she won't screw it up.

Edward attention suddenly perked up, "Well, why haven't you told me sooner. With your permission, I could look into a more permanent solution." he then paused, and realized what had said and how it might not be perceived, so he quickly added after catching it, "Without killing him or mind-wiping him. While I would need to know about the nature of this problem, I could look into it. While I have heard of objects and more rarely people causing people to go insane in their presence, I have quite heard tales of insanity actually moving to another person, not without actual intention behind it, and I presume you have already ruled out it as an aura effect. I mean, this could be any number of things, ranging from benign to unworldly eldritch terrors that want to enter our realm and devour our minds, our souls, and more than likely our bodies as well." As he continued his trade-mark long-winded ranting, he was also thinking

Edward is insane, but he is not stupid. More than likely, the Manager probably knows what is going on, however the Manager normally is quite truthful, he will bend the truth but hardly ever break it, but the Manager knows more details about this, how else would someone in this facility know how to effectively counter-act it. This also must be a normal brain-washing, as normally he is rather open about who is under his spell and who isn't, and he has enough control over his power to keep it in check anyways, and as far Edward knew the only thing Nixon was able to do is teleport, he shouldn't be able to break the Manager's power, and he most definitely couldn't redirect it.

He devised a plan, if the Manager allowed it, he would openly try to figure out what was going, as his mind was naturally very curious about the unknown and if it is beyond the manager, it has a good chance that it could turn around and try to murder everyone, which is his job. However if the manager was openly against the idea, than he should allow it be on the back-burner, mostly to keep the manager's favor as he was the key to being able to use magic on the other supernatural, a very powerful boon the Manager's support gives he is not quite ready to give up, and if the Manager denied, more than likely it is something the Manager knows more than he is letting on, or it is very dangerous. In the first case, a through examination is not needed as it is probably under control and if the Manager wants to keep it hush-hush, than that is fine with Edward. He doesn't need to really pry into the Manager's darker deeds. When it becomes important for him to know, he will know. In the second case, if it is dangerous, than being close to it and probing it probably is not a good idea.

As he concluded his train of thought, he look at the cabinet, focused on the cabinet and dragged through the ether on of needles, mostly because he was not a fan of physical labor and sometimes he just liked being showy. He considered adding sparkles to it as it reappeared but decided against it. He looked at the needle and at a few cursory glances it didn't look like anything too special, albeit he dabbles in alchemy so living gloo in the needle wouldn't look anything to special. He did not wish to magical view it let as one, it would go against his plan, two, this stuff was designed to contain insanity, he had no idea what this stuff could do to his psyche if he basically looked at it with his mind.

Paige felt physical repulsed by Penny chick. And the one who kept shouting was about to drive her insane. "I'm not sure anyone has noticed, but we are put in the middle of nowhere without any form of communication or weapons to speak of. Unless someone is holding out." She really needed to work on her people skills, they were a little rusty to say the least. She crossed her arms over her chest feeling incredibly indecent without her pistol. "I don't mean to sound bitchy, but now is the time to be making a plan, not swooning over men or talking to the sky." She said jabbing a thumb in the direction of Sai'tioula. "I understand some of you are scared, but panicing is getting us anywhere."
