Kaga said she seemed surprised when I said that I've never had a nightmare about her.

If we're defining nightmare as "Unwanted and/or negative dream" I'm a bit shocked too. You've mentioned enough times how she seems to annoy/bug you I'm surprised you didn't get one dream of her just annoying you or something.Hell I'll occasionally dream about having a heated argument like my Mom (we argued a lot when I was little) and will start shouting in my sleep "Shut the fuck up Mom!" and then wake up and realize I'm dreaming.

Henry just told me that she's never used an umbrella before, ever, because she's afraid of the wind dragging her around.

So today I learned that Henry just make a fake smile. And when I say that, I don't mean that her fake smiles look obviously plastic or fake, or they look dull and unenthusiastic. I mean that she seems like she legit does not understand what a smile should look like. It's like she's some sort of alien from another planet, attempting a smile even though the idea is completely foreign to her species, and her face isn't meant to morph itself into such an expression. Because when she to smile, she looks like some sort of rapist clown. It's hard to describe everything wrong with her not-smile; the easiest thing to point out is that, for some reason, she opens her eyes really really wide. And I... don't know why she thinks that people's eyes widen when they smile. And, here's the craziest part about this whole thing, . With, like, a normal-looking smile. And, she doesn't even know when she's smiling.Like, when I tried pointing this out to her, she started laughing at my attempt to explain it. So then I was like, "That! That there - what you're doing right now! a smile!" And her response was, "What, no, that's just the face I make when I'm really happy or when I'm laughing about something." She then claimed that she never realized that she ever smiled when she was happy. She always just assumed that she was never able to properly smile. However, she never knew that her fake smile was outlandishly creepy or bizarre. She says she always thought that she had a mostly neutral face - like she never showed very much emotion at all. I don't see how she came to that conclusion, as, in my experience, most of her facial expressions are fairly average. Also, I tried taking a picture of her while she was doing her fake smile, because she wanted to see what it looked like (and for some reason she didn't want to use a mirror...), and, the weirdest part is, in a , it doesn't look all too weird. It looks fairly close to your average smile. It's only that it looks creepy. At least I helped Henry understand why her job interviews weren't going all too well.

That, actually isn't that bizarre (at least compared to most Henry things... Maybe I'm just not grasping the bizarreness of this cause I haven't seen this 'smile' myself).A lot of people (Me included) can't force fake smiles, it requires the actual feeling to be there.Henry's just sounds like a more extreme version of one with a bad fake smile. Maybe she's trying too hard?Maybe that's just how her personality compensates for a smile when the natural happiness isn't there?

I don't think you understand. It isn't a fake smile. It's a million miles away from a fake smile. It does not look like what a smile should look like. (Like, why does she feel the need to open her eyes super-wide?). And she also wasn't aware that the thing that she does when she's genuinely happy . It's like she legit does not understand the concept of smiling.

Maybe she just didn't think she smiled naturally? Understands what it looks like, but has no idea how to imitate one when asked.Plus eyes do tend to get bigger when one smiles, but not enough that I'd call it a notable feature.Or something to explain away Henry's tendency to have super-wide eyes.I don't know, like I said I may just not be grasping it right because I haven't seen this smile myself.Does she recognize a smile when she see's it on someone else though?Because honestly, this sounds more like a case where she just thinks that she specifically isn't capable, but understands what a smile is.And because she thinks she isn't, she tries very hard to overcompensate for it.

I would assume that she can recognize a smile on someone else, though I don't understand how, seeing as how she doesn't understand a smile as I describe it to her.Like, she was surprised to hear that you're supposed to show your teeth. She said she thought that "showing your teeth is a sign of aggression". And I was like, "Well, yes, it is... among chimps, and probably some other ape species, but not among humans, generally."She then said that the reason she thought that showing your teeth implied aggression was because, in her hometown, she used to hang out with "vampire people" who would hiss and "bare their fangs" at people. She then demonstrated what this looked like. I then told her that while teeth are involved in that gesture,
