A red haired boy was up front. Liam immediately recognized that it was Bill. "Hey Shiranui, look who it is. Why am I not surprised?"

"Why indeed," answered Shiranui, "Hey Bill, long time no see."

Bill turned to see the two. "Well, look who we have here." Bill replied. "You two did a great job in the Indigo League."
"Thank you Bill." Liam said.

[James Davy]

"Expect us to do the same in the other Pokémon Leagues," replied Shiranui.

One of the Kimono girls came over. "Why, is that you Shirnaui?" She asked. "Its me, Zuki.'

"Hello Zuki," Shiranui greeted back, "It's great to be back in my home town. Are you and the others up for battling?"

She replied that they were and turned to Liam. "You must be Liam."
"Yes I am." Liam said with a respectful bow.

"Liam, would you like to go first?" Shiranui offered.

"Sure." Liam said as he readied a Pokeball. Zuki called on Umbreon. Liam called out Sylveon. All of the Kimono Girls were surprised to see Sylveon, one of the last Pokemon they expected to see.
"Umbreon, Toxic!" Zuki called out. Sylveon was poisoned by the move.
"Moonblast!" Liam called. Sylveon fired a blast of pink energy at the Moonlight Pokemon and scored a critical hit, KO'ing it.

"Great battle," Shiranui praised to both battlers, "You have four more to go, Liam."

Next, Liam battled Kuni, who used a Vaporeon. Liam called on his newly caught Shinx. Shinx used Charge while Vaporeon used Acid Armor. Liam then instructed his Pokemon to use Thunder Fang. It was a critical hit. Vaporeon used Shadow Ball and hit Shinx. Shinx retaliated with Discharge and KO'd Vaporeon.

Miki was next with her Jolteon. Haunter made quick work of Jolteon with a Hypnosis/Curse/Dream Eater combination.

Naoko and her Flareon tied with Sylveon in a double KO.

Sayo was the final girl who used Espeon. Grimm fought Espeon, and won. Liam returned to the Pokemon Center to heal his team.

While Liam was at the Pokémon Centre, the Kimono Girls were ready to battle Shiranui. Kuni was first with her Vaporeon and Shiranui sent Hitsuji out. A Charge/Electro Ball combo was enough to defeat Kuni and Hitsuji evolved to a Flaaffy as a result. Miki was next with her Jolteon and a Feint Attack followed by a Wood Hammer soon took Jolteon out. Naoko's Flareon was quickly taken out by Wani and Sayo's Espeon quickly fell to Onryou. Zuki's Umbreon was a challenge even with Kumo's type advantage, but the Ariados soon took out the dark Eeveelution through attrition and the exploitation of type weakness.

"For defeating us, we present you with the Clear Bell and the Tidal Bell," the girls stated.
"Thank you girls," replied Shiranui before returning to the Pokémon Centre to heal his Pokémon.

"Liam, the girls gave me these bells and I'd like you to have one," stated Shirnaui, presenting the bells he won from the Kimono Girls.

"Thanks." Liam said as he took the Tidal Bell. Bill walked into the Pokemon Center and came over to the boys. "Ah Shiranui, I'm glad you're still here. I have a request for you." He held out a Pokeball. "My grandfather found this Pokemon roaming around our house the other day and caught it. He gave it to me, but I think it might do it better to be with a trainer who is actually going to be traveling.

"Thanks Bill," replied Shiranui as he accepted the Poké Ball. After storing Kumo away, he opened the Poké Ball and to his surprise an Eevee was revealed.
"Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon. Eevee has an unstable genetic makeup that suddenly mutates due to the environment in which it lives. Radiation from various stones causes this Pokémon to evolve. So far eight evolved forms have been confirmed." He also found that his new friend had the Anticipation ability.
"Welcome to the team, Tachi," greeted Shiranui, petting Tachi. The Eevee was starting to like her new trainer.

"So, should we go on and visit the burned tower?" Liam asked.

"I think we should," answered Shiranui, "I feel like something's calling out to us."

Liam was ready to go to tower. Upon entering, a man in a suit saw them. He introduced himself as Eusine and that he was on search for Suicune, and we shouldn't interfere. Another man walked up, chastising Eusine. He apologized and introduced himself as Morty, the town's gym leader. When he got closer, Marty recognized Shiranui.

"Long time, no see, Morty," stated Shiranui.
"Same to you, Shiranui," replied Morty, "Your father has told me to let you know that he's back in town and he wishes to challenge you to a battle after you've won my badge." Shiranui wasn't surprised by his father's challenge.
"That's my father for you," he replied, "He likes to issue me challenges."
"Well, I need to get back to my gym and prepare to battle you two. See you later," Morty finished.

Marty left and Eusicne followed him. It was then that the duo saw Trevor. He told them about how he heard there were some rare pokemon in the tower, but he couldn't find them.
"Hey, did you find that 'powerful pokemon;' on Slowpoke Well?" Liam asked half mockingly.
"Did you catch it right before you left wise guy?" Trevor barked.
"No, I did not catch that Pokemon in the well." Liam replied.
"It was your Pokemon right?" Trevor asked.
"Ding ding ding!" Liam said mockingly. He then proceeded sarcastically in a game show host's voice "That's right Trevor, now lets see what you won behind curtain number 2!"
Trevor getting frustrated sends out Croconaw and Arcanine. Liam replied with Haunter and Grimm. Liam's ghost duo shut down the opposing team with Hypnosis and Dream Eater from Haunter. Grimm supplemented it with a Confuse Ray for each opponent. They were finished by Lick and Shadow Ball respectively. Trevor recalled his Pokemon and left. Liam recalled the ghost duo, praising them for the good work.
