"It's time to finish the job," stated Shiranui.

The heroes returned to the radio tower and used the key card to open the locked door.

"Liam, when we get to the top, you can take this one," Shiranui offered.

A rocket Exec confronted them. Liam's Shinx and Cynder the Typhlosion bested the Exec's Weezing and Golbat.

The duo climbed the stairs and Shiranui spotted an elevator on the next floor up. "Liam, this next one could be tough," he warned.

'Well, if we beat Giovanni, how difficult could any of these bozos be?"

"We may have beaten their boss," answered Shiranui, "But that doesn't mean we can be complacent. My father has told me overconfidence can leave you blind to the element of surprise."

"That is a fair point." Liam agreed. They climbed the stairs and found two Exec's standing there, a man and a woman.
"Which do you want to take?" Liam inquired of his friend.

"I'll take the man," answered Shiranui.

The women began with Arbok.

"Arbok, the Cobra Pokemon, and the evolved form of Ekans. This Pokémon is terrifically strong in order to constrict things with its body. It can even flatten steel oil drums. Once Arbok wraps its body around its foe, escaping its crunching embrace is impossible."
Liam called on Sherlock, whose Psychic moves made quick work of the snake. She next called on Murkrow.
"Murkrow, the Darkness Pokemon. Murkrow was feared and loathed as the alleged bearer of ill fortune. This Pokémon shows strong interest in anything that sparkles or glitters. It will even try to steal rings from women."

Liam swapped Sherlock out for Sylveon. Sylveon used Fairy Wind and got a good clean hit. Murrow was able to get a few hits in before she fell to the Fairy type moves. The Exec sent out a Vileplume.

"Vileplume, the Flower Pokemon, and an alternate evolution to Bellossom. Vileplume has the world's largest petals. They are used to attract prey that are then doused with toxic spores. Once the prey are immobilized, this Pokémon catches and devours them."
Sylveon was swapped out for Cynder the Typhlosion, who made quick work of the final Pokemon.

Her partner sent a Houndour out. "Houndour, the Dark Pokémon. Houndour hunt as a coordinated pack. They communicate with each other using a variety of cries to corner their prey. This Pokémon's remarkable teamwork is unparalleled." Shiranui sent Titania out and one Moonblast made short work of it. Next was a Koffing. "Koffing, the Poison Gas Pokémon. Lighter-than-air gases in its body keep it aloft. The gases not only smell, they are also explosive." One Psychic was all it took to knock Koffing out. Last was a Houndoom. "Houndoom, the Dark Pokémon and the evolved form of Houndour. The flames it breathes when angry contain toxins. If they cause a burn, it will hurt forever."
"Houndoom, Feint Attack!"
"Titania, Moonblast! Mega Ring activate!" Shiranui activated the keystone on his Mega Ring and Titania was enveloped in an orb of energy. The orb shattered to reveal a Mega Gardevoir. Titania fired a very bright Moonblast and Houndoom was knocked out in one hit.

The Rocket Execs were socked to have been beaten so thoroughly. Liam went over to the microphone. There was a flash drive with the message that was being repeated on it inserted into the machine. Liam removed the flash drive. "You two are going away for a long time once Jenny gets here." The Exec's dropped smoke bombs and vanished.
"Darn, they got away." Liam said annoyed. "Well, I guess we have to just move on to Mahogany Town."

"Before we go, we should take what they dropped," replied Shiranui, having spotted two highly valuable feathers left behind. One was green, white and red and the other was silvery in colour that was Y-shaped. "These are feathers from Lugia and Ho-oh and it's been said that these wings will lure them back to their sacred nesting sites."

Liam took the silver one. "Well, do you want to go look for these two or head on to the next gym?" Liam inquired.

[James Davy]

"We should move on," answered Shiranui, taking the tri-coloured wing, "I have a feeling we'll be running into Team Rocket again."

"Well, shal we have Sherlock teleport us there?" Liam asked.
"Hold it!" a stern voiced called out. Jenny rushed up, and like her many sisters/cousins/etc began to jump to conclusions on the situation. The president of the Radio Tower approached and informed Jenny that they saved the radio tower. Liam gave Jenny the recoding that the Rokets were playing on loop over the radio.
"Now, ready to go get our 7th Johto badge?" Liam asked.

"Ready," answered Shiranui.

"Sherlock!" Lia called. The shiny Alakazam teleported the duo to Eckurteak City. They simply had to go east to get to their destination.

"Thanks Sherlock," said Shiranui, looking east towards Route 42.

Liam recalled the Alakazam. He went to the Pokemon Center to got his Laparas out to be able to bypass Dark Cave for a quicker route to the next town.
