[IC] Lion King 7: New Generation

Animals of all kinds were gathering to meet their future queen. As they did so, they would soon see Asante standing atop Pride Rock. He seemed strong and proud. This was the best moment for him. The presentation of his newborn cub. He walked over to where his mate was laying.

Fakira smiled at her mate then looked down at her paws which held a little grey bundle between them. The old and wise baboon, Rafiki(npc) walked over to the cub and dipped his thump in some sort of juice and wiped it on the cub's forehead. He then gathered some dust and sprinkled it over the cub. The dust made Alegra sneeze. Rafiki picked up the cub and walked towards Pride Rock. Once he reached the point, he raised Alegra up for all to view.

Alegra looked down at the crowd, not sure what they were doing, but she smiled nonetheless.

Faye Watched as her newborn grandchild in the ceremoney smiled down at her, she was so happy a few tears were shed as she watched. fakira reminded her of herself stong and beautiful, Faye was hesinet to have her lead the pride but her father had passed and Fakira found a mate soon after.. He'd lead the pride as well but he would pale in comparisson to fakira's father. Faye was just too old to run the pride otherwise she'd be in charge. She was still so happy that her daughter was queen, maybe now faye could go out on a kill without 2 or three teens following her

Elvira was making her way around the Outlands, she left her home and family to find food and maybe a friend or mate, she travled slowly only stopping at a pond getting closer to the pridelands, food flurished over there she wasnt allowed to venture there though. Eh what could possibly go wrong? she ran at full speed into the bright lite area and took a whif and OH she smelled everything from zebra to analope. Soon Elvira stalked in the tall grass watching a young zebra learn how to stand Yummie!!

charles watched from the mass of crowds as the little buddle of fluff was held up, he turned to his freinds "wont be long till we are there"

Kisari was watching the presentation somewhere nearby.

Tamara was in the crowd somewhere watching as well.

Zephyr watched from the very back of the crowd. She shouldn't be here in reality, but she wanted to see what all the hubbub was about. Her white coat glistened in the sun and she felt like she stuck out like a sore thumb, but didn't think anyone noticed her from way in the back.
Admittedly, she was a little jealous of the pride-landers, but she had never really fit in so she had left as a teen. Being on her own wasn't so bad either, though. She watched as the new cub was lifted up, and she found herself lowering her head in respect.

Fakira looked down to see her mother in the crowd and smiled at her. She then looked at her own daughter. She's beautiful and will make a fine queen. She thought as she smiled up at the sky to see if her father was watching from above.

Asante smiled down at the crowd as well, making a silent promise that he would take good care of his mate and daughter. Not to the mention the rest of his pride as well.

As the ceremony came to an end, Rafiki lowered the cub to let her parents nuzzle her.

As the ceremony ended Faye ran quickly up to her daughter and grandchild "My lovely family" she said in a coo of a voice as she bushed her head to Fakira's and then to the cubs, she gave a quick respectful nod to Asante. she layed close to her child and the newborn, some other females came over in respect to look at the child. Faye smiled and licked at her paws hunger settling in "Who's up for a hunt?... Wanna get your paws dirty lover boy" she said playfully at Asante.

The zebra just looked so delishous, she couldn't resist lowering herself to the ground pawing at the surface of the ground getting ready to pounce, her bum raised in the air like a cat ready to strike at a mouse. She made her eyes slits, and she watched as the herd galloped away from her, she quickly jolted out and ran up to full speed trying for the baby zebra. She launched herself at it claws out and her mouth open ready to take a bite at its hide. She did, she nipped it right in the mid back and took it down easly.

As soon as the ceremony was over Zephyr left the crowd and walked back to her own land, kicking at stones with her paws as she went. She flicked her tail at flies that nipped at her hips. "ah, the pride-landers don't know how good they got it." She said as she entered the badlands, the water and good hunting were hard to come by. She thought back the ceremony. She had seen her won parents there, but they either had seen her or did acknowledge her, the later wouldn't be surprising. He choice to leave hadn't exactly been a popular one with the parents or her siblings, but she did what she thought best; she was making it just fine.

Elvira had dragged the carcass to the badlands and was now munching on it openly then she saw zephyr and let out a soft snarl as she watched her walk by, although the other lioness probably didnt see her or hear her eating she made her presense known, The snarl wasn't menacing it was just to let her know she was here "Hey, want some zebra?" she asks looking up to older lioness with a bloody smile.

Zephyr stopped mid step and sniffed at the zebra. "You were lucky enough to catch some grub huh?" She said walking over. She was only just slightly bigger than the younger lioness, but she knew if it came down to it she could teach her a lesson if she needed to. "Sure you don't mind sharing?"

Elvira gave a toothy grin "I know its hard to find food so i just snuck a baby from the pridelands" she said and chewed it up pretty good, then licking it tenderly getting rid of some of it's fur. The older one could easily take the meal from her, and she probably would so she tried to eat as fast as possible and as much as she needed for a few days. "I don't bite, much" she said with a goofy grin

Fakira gently crabbed her daughter by the scruff and headed towards the den. She set her down for a nap once inside.

Asante followed his mate inside the den and looked down at their daughter who was sleeping. "Isn't she the sweetest thing ever?" He asked with a smile, earning a nod from his wife.

Alegra continued to sleep, nestled in-between her parents.

Zephyr gave a toothy grin, the meerkat she had managed to catch this morning was already wearing off so she stepped over and dug in near the haunches of the little zebra. It was nice and tender and her teeth ripped throu through the skin and meat easily. She looked up at the lion, blood dripping from her chin, along with some skin. "What's your name kid?" She said before taking another chunk.

She let out a soft growl because the othe lioness was getting a bit too close to where she had her mouth at, but hearing her speak she lifter her face from th zebra "My name El" she said her cheeks stuffed with meat. Once she finnaly swallowed she let out a yawn, the zebra was nearly gone and she had her fill so she curled up behind the older lioness and watched her eat "Its short for elvira"

After the ceremony, Kisari decided upon staying where she was unless the king or queen decided they needed her for something.

Tamara went off to find something to eat since she just realized she was hungry.

Zephyr fisted finished off the last bit then sat, licking her face and paws top groom herself. "Nice to meet you Elvira. I'm Zephyr. "

Where were her manners? she begain to clean herself up a bit and she took a large in take of breath and sighed, full to the tipity top, And there seemed to be a lot left over.. she wouldn't drag that thig around, she'd simpily leave it here other outlanders needed food and they were too weak to get it themselves. At least once or twice a week she'd go stalk out in the pridelands for a meal to bring back sometimes they didnt notice but she was once caught by the old queen, she let her go but next time she wouldnt be so nice "If your ever lonely i stay up in the cave between the pridelands and here." she said quietly.

"Haha, thanks El." She said closing her eyes and tipping her head to face the sun and feel is warmth. "But I got my own little cave closer to a tiny waterhole that's further in. " She laid down and rolled around in the dust for a bit, then sneezed when she sat back up. "excuse me. "

Elvira stood up and shook of the dirt and clutter from her fur, she looked over to the older femal and pressed her head agenst her's in a soft embrasse one only done to those she trusted, And Zephyr seemed trustworthy-ish also she wanted to get a good whiff of her scent so she could find her later on if need be, really she would get lonely and find her. A soft chuckle arose from Elvira "Aw how cute, i'll see you later " she said whispy voice and licked her paws one last time befor trotting up a small hill heading to her cave

Zephyr's eyes grew wide in surprise at the makeshift embrace. "See you later. " She replied. She lay there for a bit longer, then got up to go home. When she arrived she lapped some water up from the little watering hole. And laying down again in the shade of the lone tree. It was kind of lonely around here, in the badlands.
