Yes, but -why- would the individuals go along on the quest? For -questing- sake? Needs to be connected to the goals and motivations of the characters mang, and have connections to that.

Some characters like James, don't give a shit about money. Which I do recall IncredibleBee saying. However, what he does care about is his daughter. So, how do we get a character like Sir Hawthorne in the quest? Well, if there is mentioning of certain things that could be helpful for his daughter, such as some mystical river or something, which just so happens to be in the same direction as the Quest Objective.Just money itself wouldn't attract this character, nor does he care about the community (as he lives somewhere else entirely), however with this mystical river or something else of use that could help his daughter, he is guaranteed to come along in the quest.
