Woop! Finally got that posted. Been a bit swamped.

Oh! Hubs and I are playing Borderlands the Pre-Sequel! It's super amazing *_* We're not super far into it, because boo for work and school, but we're totally enamored. It's stupendous!

I started playing a bit of Borderlands 2 with the boyfriend over the summer; it's pretty fun! Homework doesn't give me a lot of time to enjoy it, though, and I'm not used to playing shooters. Ah well...

I meant to get the latest post out to you a little sooner, but this site seems to be having issues. Grrr. But it's up! Sorry for the wait!

I also want to apologize for doing more backtracking than moving forward with this post, haha. I do this sometimes. If you find this too irritating, let me know and I'll move things along at a better pace. I did it this time because I wasn't sure what sort of plans you had for this building storm, if any. (To be honest, I'm not sure yet what the scroll is all about yet lol... on man... it'll be something to chew on as the story progresses.)

Because we're finally entering a bit of dialogue, I don't expect a gargantuan reply (though I love all of your long posts, hehe). If need be, I can move the story along by describing them leaving and what-not, but I want to see how Chamera, who is weighed down by poor Pan, deals with Jeron's thoughtless comment :p

How are midterms going?

Borderlands is the first shooter I've been any good at, haha! The story was compelling enough that I just bashed my head against a wall until I sucked less. Woosh! The Pre-Sequel's story is a little harder to follow, but it's still a super awesome game.

And no worries! :D It was a good read. I've not had any pacing issues yet so far on my end. If you ever find my (horrendously slow) pacing to be an issue, please let me know! :]
Haha, moooooooostly I'm going with "the weave has been hella fucked with, magic is wildly unstable and dangerous and everything is terrible", although I did some reading on the shadow weave on the wiki and I'm liking the idea of treating that like anti-matter and it annihilating with matter. WHO KNOWS! :D I'm the worst, I kind of just poop out half formed ideas and let them develop on whims in game. Oops!

Midterms are finally over! *_* I did brilliantly on my physics midterm (to the surprise of no one haha!), pretty alright on my bio exam from hell, and I think I kicked the shit out of my programming one but scores have yet to be released. I had that exam on Halloween and omg it was ridiculous. I went as Carmen Sandiego as a last minute costume, and I SHIT YOU NOT, the dude assigned to the seat next to me was Waldo. It was amazing! We hi-fived. My life is such a fuckin sitcom, it's absurd.

I got a bit behind with everything because my best friend from my navy days just came back from an 8 month deployment and we bro'd out all weekend. I had an interview today at the university museum for a research position and I think I may have a job come next week (knock on wood!). We'll see. There's loads of applicants, but I'm super awesome, so hopefully it'll work out.

Right now I'm just trying to catch up with notes and work on some stuff for my physics project on Friday. I'm analyzing the subsurface geology of the Long Valley Caldera in California. WOOSH! It sounds way cooler than it actually is. It mostly involves fighting ancient software and squinting a lot.

BUT YES ANYWAYS I'm almost done with my post. I'm aiming to have it up by tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Good luck on getting the job!! I love your confidence :) Me, I'd be like, "Eh, I don't know, waaaah!" and then be pleasantly "surprised" when I get the job or still disappointed when I don't. I do things very confidently, but I don't think confidently. It's weird. What are you studying/what is your major? (Apologies if you've stated this before... my mind is kinda hectic right now as I prepare for a stressful weekend of working an extra day at work, possibly buying a new car because my current one broke down, and somehow spitting out a 9-page analytical paper in between all the crazy... gah!) I used to be an English major, but I learned that my work schedule would never allow me to take the creative writing classes I so desperately crave, so I decided that if I wasn't going to do that, I might as well do something practical. Now I'm technical communications. Far less interesting, but I gotta pay the bills somehow, and a nifty degree under my belt would help immensely.

I'm studying Geology! :D I graduate in Spring, which is just crazy and terrifying and awesome. No idea what I'll do with it atm, but I'm sure I'll figure it out after a few freak outs.

Oh man, your weekend sounds crazy! Ahhh! Boo on the car! And ahghghgds, crazy paper is crazy. I'm procrastinating writing a technical report right meow and bleh, it is just the worst. Luckily I just have to turn in a rough draft, so I don't have to polish anything beyond 'delete all instances of the word poop'. I don't think I could do this for a living. Geology, that's really cool! I plan to be an editor in some way,shape, or form until I someday maybe-hopefully-we'll-see publish something as a legit writer. Right now I'm an editor's assistant for a small semiconductor business consulting firm (note: I knew absolutely nothing about semiconductors when I started the job, yikes), which is basically someone that does all the boring, tedious work for the editor. I'm not complaining -- the editor's job is veeeeery tough and there's no way I can do it at this point in time. Our editor definitely knows her stuff, which makes me feel dumb on a daily basis, lol. There's a lot to learn; hopefully it gets better. No one has fired me yet, so I must be doing something right! Woot!
