Hoping off of Pinky, Beauty glided over to the fridge to get some pink lemonade, another request her parents made for her. "I'm glad you asked Dixie! Yes in a way my Lovebirds help in battle. Pinky is more of my transportation, some superheroes teleport, fly, or have super speed, I have a bird that I ride to get to villains quicker. Instead fueling up on gas, I give Pinky cupcakes and other sweets to get her going. Fluffy my dearest and oldest, she is my protector in a way. For example say someone were to destroy love around me making me weak, Fluffy would sacrifice herself to protect me, knocking out villains left and right with her giant wings and beak. Her wingspan can reach about 20ft wide, if she really wanted to knock down some bad guys for me. Rose she is more of the distraction bird, she goes in and makes chaos. Who wouldn't be distracted by a giant pink bird coming out of nowhere. She's good at her job, since she's so creative about her distractions, the army would want Rose on their team, if they could have her. Creampuff the baby of the group she...well I don't really know what role she plays in my little Love Team, but I know she can do something extraordinary, she just has to break out of her shell and show everyone what she can do. Sounds familiar Dixie?" Beauty seeing that the room was being feel with her birds, probably not having enough room for the superheroes turned back into her normal self. The birds disappearing into a cloud of pink rose aroma dust. "So to break it down clearly, Pinky my flyer, Fluffy my protector, Rose my Distractor, and Creampuff my...Late Bloomer...in a way." Beauty noticed that Axle was back in the room. "Yeah we do, will probably have a lot of superhero companions here, which makes it even more fun." Her sarcasm was on point as usual.

Ralph smiled at both Alyssa and Beauty, he liked hanging out with the heroes and he unlike some of the others members of the team, was happy to be here. He was taken a bit by surprise when Beauty turned into Kisses Galore and made her birds carry them into the kitchen so that Alyssa could meat Dixie and Axle.

"So basically Beauty, you're like a Star Sapphire corp member from the Green Lantern comics, except with different powers. Alyssa is like Captain America in that she's at the peak of human condition, and Dixie is a werewolf. Axle is a cyborg, and I am just like Green Lantern except I can't travel through space like he can and my constructs are cartoons instead of green light. I'm really well read in superhero comics" he said to with a smile, he was a huge comic book geek and loved the medium almost as much as he loved cartoons.

Alyssa was suddenly lifted into the air by the birds? As they flew to the kitchen. "Hahaha, Woah this is so awesome!" she told Beauty, now them arriving at the kitchen, the first part of the tour was the kitchen, her second favorite place in a house, her first was her bedroom because there she could do anything she wants. "And uhhh... I am not a steroid superhero.... I don't think, I am..?" she said wondering raising an eyebrow to herself, it did make sense though... her human abilities were enhanced but it wasn't steroids! As soon as Ralph spoke up she smiled, patting his head. "Yeah! He is right, Captain America. I am more like him, I read over his stuff to in the comics. I read comics sometimes, when I am bored." she nodded to herself looking at Dixie. "It's nice to meet you, I am Alyssa." and her head turned to Axle who seem to be surprised by the birds. "And It's nice to meet you too, I am Alyssa." It was all fun to meet the other heroes, but her main focus was... WHERE IS HER ROOM AT?!

Mack decided that now would be a good time to go outside and charge up what little power he had lost today, and began to walk to the door. As he walks, he looks through a window to see that it was gradually turning darker outside. He closed off the panels that he had opened specifically to bathe in the light that was outside, but no longer could, and his head lowered a bit. At least with the remaining time before it turned fully to darkness outside he could find the members of the new team and commune with them; learn more about them.

Upon a small walk, Mack arrives at the kitchen, finding some of the team members there. Though he sees someone that he doesn't recognize for a moment, a quick database search and a guess stated that 'Alyssa', the name he hears as he enters the room, was probably just late. "Hello, everyone. And greetings, Alyssa. I am Mack. Also known as Bladewolf." He looks around at everyone, raising his head a bit. Despite being an AI, he felt emotion. This included feeling a bit small compared to everyone; having to look up at everyone. "How is everyone doing?" He asks.

Suzy let out a giggle as the "butterflies" floated around them, marveling at the colors the fragile creatures made. Barely paying attention to the exposition Cassandra gave as more and more butterflies surrounded the pair, enclosing them in a world of color and gentle wing beats. It was so much that Suzy fell down and landed strait on her rear as she was left in awe of this magnificent display of beauty. For what seemed like hours she sat there, Cassandra's words but a buzz in the back of her consciousness.

However like all good things, it came to an end. The butterflies dispersed and Suzy couldn't help but feel a little disappointed as they did so, content as she was to just sit there and watch them. Soon enough, Suzy dragged herself off the ground as she dusted her pants off. Turning to Cassandra all Suzy could say after some stuttering was "...Wow."

Usually she could come up with something much better and she mentally kicked herself for not being able to, but what had just happened had scrambled her brain and put her into a different place. Feeling a burning sensation on the back of her neck, Suzy cleared her throat before saying "Thank you for that, it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen...We should probably head inside."

Turning on her heel, Suzy made her way to entrance of the mansion. Thinking to herself Suzy thought "If Cassandra can do that...what could the others do?" Excited by the thought, Suzy picked her pace up to a power walk.

Worn and tired, the battered woman lifted her flaming eyes to the paper that had managed to slide it's way underneath her door. Raising a brow, Aaelith heaved herself up from the ground, groaning at the sudden wave of pain flowing through her body and flowing through her nerves, pricking at her like dull blades.

She could hear her pulse quicken, her mind beginning to numb along with her body, the lithe demon stumbled over to the slip of paper, the curious little object fraying upwards at the end, obviously not handling the transition from the outside into her room well. Picking up the darned thing had been as much a challenge for her as lifting herself had been. Bending at the waist, mouth etched in a frown, Aaelith secured her lengthy fingers around the paper's edge and lifted it up in one single, yet clumsy swoop. Only to frown at the paper itself. Or - the letter..

A sigh drifted around the room, falling through the crisp air alongside the letter.
She had shed herself of her previous attire, now laying in a blood-stained hump at the darkest corner in her room. Slithering into a pair of tight blue jeans, paired with a dark t-shirt, making sure to cover her fresh scars with a small scarf laying atop her neck, haphazardly wrapped around her - a snake waiting to fully constrict it's prey. Her hair was released from it's tight ponytail and laying down at her collarbone, meeting and melting over the scarf that lay there.

Blinking away the pain from her eyes, Aaelith bunched her hands at her sides and stormed out of her door, listening to the faint swish of it closing once again behind her. Gathering her wits, and rebuilding her wall, she glanced to her left, seeking out the window that lead to the garden. Stars were already beginning to splay across the night sky, their light transcending the layers of darkness and providing help to the moon. It was horridly splendorous. She loathed loving the sight that seemed so trivial, yet so vital all the same.

Letting out a small breath of air, Sam pocketed her hands and turned, walking towards the small group just ahead, accumulating together, bunching into groups already. She almost laughed at the sight. They were already close, something she hadn't expected at all. They were supposedly all alike, in their own special way. All of them were outcasts, they had done the unthinkable. They had been created differently. Difference made you dangerous. Yet, here was most of the team, chatting away, some with genuine smiles, and other's presumably for the hell of it. Altogether, it was as much a sight as the stars outside.

As her fiery gaze swept over the many different shapes and forms, Aaelith felt a wave of regret swarm her, engulfing her in a fresh wave of pain - this time buried deep beneath the skin. Perhaps tomorrow she would get a chance to talk to them before they set out on the mission. She couldn't avoid them forever, she reasoned, as they were a part of the team now.

When she was about two or three feet away from the group, Sam cleared her throat, her face set in a calm mask, her eyes an inviting fire. "I apologize, but you should probably head to your rooms for the night." Her voice dipped lower, behind her eyes was a warning never to reach the surface of day. Quickly continuing, Aaelith rose her voice to better travel between them, from her throat to the group. Silky and smooth, her words soared through the air.
"We have a long day ahead of us, so I'd like to have each of you at your best. That said, sleep is a good idea." Offering a small lift of her lips, Sam gave a small nod to the group before heading off, deeper into the manor. Not before noting the pull in her chest. This time - it wasn't due to her monster. No....Something evil was close, not human. It wasn't her... Then who?

She tried to glance back at the group, ready to gaze into them, but stopped herself. It couldn't be - she must just be tired. Or perhaps her dam of sanity had finally collapsed in on itself.
Yawning as she walked out of the hub, Aaelith winced at the soreness enveloping her body. She was drained both emotionally and physically. She had just announced the end of the day, something she felt would be a common occurrence. Trudging down the hallway, her combat boots sliding against the hardwood floor, Sam peeked into each room she passed on her way back to the left wing. She hadn't half of the squad after they had all separated, maybe there would be someone in these rooms. After the fifth room passed with no result, Aaelith shook her head and walked past the game room, head down with exhaustion. Right now, there was only one thing on her mind.

There it was. Just beyond the sparkling pool and manicured lawn, with the twinkling stars overhead. The empty woodlands, beautiful and dense - her escape. Sitting down on the living room couch, leaning into it's softness, she sank into the cushions. Where she would wait until the moon hung high overhead, and she could allow herself to become one with her demon form once more.

"Well, folks. Imma listen to the boss lady, and hit the hay." Axle says as he removes his apron, and stretches. "See ya'll tomorrow." He exits the kitchen first. The goes to his room and says his password, "June 15th" and enters his room.

He lays on his bed, knowing that he should sleep but feeling restless, *Ring-ring* Axle looks at his phone, E, he answers it. "Axle, Intel." E said in his masked voice. "Nothing you don't already have." "Just remember Axle... We're listening." "What else is new." Axle says with noticeable sarcasm, E just chuckles as he hangs up. 'Thanks, E.' Axle thinks as he starts to feel drowsy, then he slowly drifts off to sleep.

Dixie paid close attention as Beauty explained what each of her birds did, finding it rather fascinating. She did blush when Beauty compared her to Creampuff, smiling a bit at the big pink bird and then back to Beauty, who then made the birds dissipate. ”Wow, that’s nifty Beauty,” she smiled brightly, sincere whenever she complimented someone. She then looked to Ralph as he broke down everyone’s abilities, calling her a werewolf. She looked a bit sad at the phrase, not thinking of herself as a werewolf. Werewolves were dangerous, out of control creatures that hurt people. She didn’t hurt people did she? She just managed a meager smile though and looked downwards, glancing up when Alyssa said nice to meet you simply to nod with the same small smile, rubbing her arms lightly. It was getting later she supposed. And probably not a bad idea to head to her room. She stood as Mack walked in.

”Jus’ fine” she answered his question, smiling a bit more, enjoying how polite the robot seemed to be. She wanted to pat his head, but didn’t know if that would be demeaning at all. She started to exit the kitchen when Sam walked in. The woman’s presence filled the room and made Dixie take a few steps backwards, looking as if she’d done something wrong despite not having done a thing. I apologize, but you should probably head to your rooms for the night. Dixie made no objections, nodded a few times and watching Axle say goodbye before heading out. Dixie turned back to the others with a nervous smile. ”See ya’ll tamarra,” she said softly with a little wave, ducking out and heading to her room with one hand gripped her opposite forearm. She said the password to her room and went inside, finishing unpacking and setting up her room before slipping into some pajamas and sliding into her bed.

Time for bed already? Apparently time had flown by quicker than Sky had expected and the sun's light was fading rapidly. He reassembled the pieces of his rifle which needed to be put back together and returned it to the case. This had been an interesting day to say the least. He picked up the suitcase and continued towards his bedroom. "Skyler, Super Hero Name: Sniper. State your password."

"Target Zero" He opened the door and stepped inside. What was Evan doing right about now? Was he still drooling over his computer? Was he still closed off from the world surrounding him? With a soft sigh, Skyler dropped down on his bed and rested his head against one of the two soft pillows. Staring absentmindedly at the ceiling, he couldn't help but think about what would happen in the future of this crusade. How would he deal with the death of comrades if such came to pass? How could he possibly deal with Evan's demise if he passed away? This would undoubtedly keep him up at night. There was little which worried Sky but when it came to Evan, everything freaked him out. If only he knew how deeply Sky cared for him.

A full hour passed and with nothing but one worried thought after another circling his mind, Skyler slipped out of his clothes and crawled down below the sheets. Tomorrow would be a very busy day, and he needed his sleep. If anything, a tired sniper could be a critical flaw. Night came quickly once he learned to shut out his thoughts and embraced his dreams. Morning would eventually come and then everything could finally unfold.

"Well I guess the party is over for today. Wouldn't want to make mother mad, would we? Goodnight loves." Beauty was not feeling up to going to her room to sleep; she wanted to hang out with the little group she made some more. She put in her password, "Beauty Is The Greatest." Her room still smelling of vanilla and lavender, it was gorgeous as usual. At least she had a T.V. in her room, she wouldn't be too bored, depending on what was on. Her favorite show, "The Fast And The Sexiest." Was on. It was a new episode. Julio just found his wife Rosetta in bed, with Julio's nephew and their pool boy Juan Carlos. Beauty loved soap opera's especially the Spanish ones, they were more dramatic then American soaps. So maybe tonight would have some kind of fun for Beauty.

TIME SKIP | First Mission

Morning had come in the form of a melting light, seeping across the sky, overpowering the darkness and dispelling it to return to whence it had came. The sky was painted with numerous light, all different in color, stunningly gorgeous. The tree leaves glittered with early morning dew, reflecting the light back up to the vibrant splatter of color above. The sight was serenity in it's fullest form. Beauteous and relaxing. Aaelith could feel her heart beat slow, her muscles happily worn from last night's run. Her chest had healed now, faint scars from her claws remained - but with time, they would eventually fade as well.

With a faint sigh, the woman swiftly entered the manor, her legs drawing out to their fullest length as she climbed up the back steps, loose tawny hair bouncing against her broad shoulders. Stifling a yawn with her slender hand, Sam sauntered over to the kitchen, opening the door to the fridge with a leisurely gesture. Wine colored eyes locking onto the coffee she had stored away yesterday, wrapping her slight fingers around the cup and bringing the liquid close to her chest. Today was going to be a long day, she'd need all the coffee she could get. It had been suggested to her plenty times, though mostly as a joke; to try Monster energy drinks. Perhaps one day she would humor those few human's who thought the possibility hilarious.

After warming the cup and bringing the steaming liquid to her voluminous lips, Aaelith drank the dark liquid with a sense of urgency about her. The lavish drink lasted about thirty seconds. Sam sighed with content before setting the cup down on the counter and gazing around the room - not with her ability mind you, but just taking in the change of scenery. It was about five in the morning, so she doubted anyone would be up, so far she hadn't bumped into anyone, let alone seen a soul - no pun intended. Pursing her lips, Sam shifted into the counter behind her, pondering a single thought that perhaps she should do something for the team: make breakfast. She instantly banished the thought. Most likely she would either burn down the manor with her attempt, or the team would devoutly avoid her food, she hadn't come off as the caring type - she would imagine they would take it as her trying to poison them.

Huffing out an agitated breath of air, Sam pushed herself off of the counter and deposited her empty coffee cup into the waste bin before heading off in search of her room - and with it, her gear. She wanted to be prepared before heading announcing the mission. There had three options for her to choose from - but perhaps that would be settled upon later thought and discussion with her newly formed team. As she passed by the hallway where her team resided - Aaelith once again felt a tug at her chest. Tearing her gaze from her door, Aaelith focused instead on one that called to her inner beast. She could feel it - whatever it was, it was through this room. Stepping closer to the door, Aaelith placed her palm against the cold hard metal surface, leaning as close as she dared, she was about to gaze through - locate the source of this tug, of the unidentifiable evil. It must have been, she was sure that no good would ever draw out her most base instinct: to hunt.

She shook her head lightly, playing the feeling once more for basic paranoia. There was no way - it couldn't be.... She was the only demon here. Certain of herself, the demon stepped away from the door, silently slithering away to her room. Muttering her password, she entered the abyss. Only when it was time to call on the team, would she reamerge.
To any of the team, Aaelith would appear to be a bossy control freak - which in fact, she was. But, to her, it was tough love. A warning not to get any closer than either wanted. It was for everyone's good that she remain distant. Even if that meant developing a hatred towards her, as long as it kept them away, Sam was fine with that.

Now would be the time to officially put that behavior into play. They may be on a team now, but relationships beyond that - petty friendships and such, Aaelith wanted no part in, this she would make clear. Or - that had been the plan anyway. As she wait in the command center for the whole team - not just her own division, Aaelith crossed her arms and began to pace around the room. Not that she was nervous, a demon is never such a thing. No, she was....upset. Yes, upset that her team had her waiting. Glancing up at the clock, Sam took note that it was still four minutes ahead of schedule. Pursing her lips, Aaelith continued her pacing. Surely she needn't a reason to be upset. She'd taken the liberty to place maps of the manor around on the hallway, going as far as to circle the mission control hub or them. Every room had been labeled - yet crudely drawn out. It's not like she could've just printed the layout, so for now, that would have to do until they got the hang of it.

The alarm clock beeped viciously, forcing Sky to wake from his deep slumber which finally came to claim him. Bringing his hand up, he shoved down the flat of his hand against the button to stop the ringing and laid lifeless in his bed, cursing the morning which had befallen him. Mornings were the worst things ever, especially when he heard a knock on the door by the one person who seemed to be up before the first bird song. “Hey, Skyler. You up?” Evan, that guy was never tired. Maybe that was his power which countless injections had developed, rather than the faint traces of telekinesis displayed from time to time.

“I hear you…” Skyler struggled out of bed, nearly falling face first into the floor in the process. This was going to be a mission day and he needed to give it a hundred percent. Slipping into a pair of jeans and socks, he put on a t-shirt and lazily opened the door. “Yes?”

“Your hair is really messy.” Evan reached over and ruffled the already messy hair atop Skyler’s head.

“Don’t you have like…a computer to date, or something?” Sniper yawned and reached for the suitcase he had placed by the door, having to do so three ties before eventually getting hold of the handle.

“Only when you’re out there working.” Evan winked and motioned towards the bathroom. “You look like hell, I’ll be waiting until you freshen up.” The computer wiz kid dropped down on an armchair and crossed his legs, waiting for Skyler to welcome the morning with open arms.

Without another word, Skyler raised an eyebrow as his friend made himself comfortable and simply shook his head slowly before turning towards the bathroom and made sure to shower, brush his teeth and make himself look acceptable for the world. “The bad guys don’t care what I look like when I shoot them…” He mumbled as he walked out to the corridor with Evan following close behind, holding Sky’s suitcase.

“I have looked through the maps posted on the walls and we’re heading this way.” It was good to know that he had been spending his morning doing something productive.

“You’re making me look bad, sunshine.” Skyler rubbed his eyes and yawned, following Evan towards the intended location. Once they reached their destination, they saw how there was someone there already. It was there leader up and ready for action. Another one seemed to enjoy early mornings. “Hello.” Sky raised his hand in a greeting before placing his suitcase on the floor and sat on it.

“I hope you slept well.” Evan smiled softly as his quiet words were directed towards Sam.

A chime went off in the glass-casing, causing Frostbite to stir from his slumber. A holographic screen appeared in front of his face, curving with the fogged up glass. It displayed the current time, what the weather was like outside and time spent sleeping. Frostbite, however, didn't seem to notice the screen, he pressed a few buttons at which his left hand was resting and another chime went off. The bed in which he lay started to rattle and make a variety of sounds. Within moments, the bed started to lift itself into a more vertical angle, causing Frostbite to feel his weight shift with it. When the bed came to a sharp halt, the glass lid shifted sharply. As the lid did this, Frostbite could feel the world around him grow cold as all the heat contained within the capsule eagerly escaped into the surrounding room. As the lid slid open, rising upwards, Frostbite got out of the capsule, removing the various wires and tubes connected to his back. With that done, he made a quick pace to his Life-Suit and started to put it on.

After spending a few minutes putting it on, Frostbite took a look at a digital clock attached to his suit's left wrist. He groaned slightly, he didn't get up early enough. He wasn't going to be able to eat breakfast and get to the meeting on time. Frostbite wondered if the bed's internal clock was off, but decided to continue out of his room instead of check; he was a professional, he was not about to show up late on their first day.

As he made his way to the intended room, leaving a light trail of frost on the walls, he followed the crudely made map to the indicated room. When he got there, it seemed there were already people within; not a surprise but he was expecting more. Within the room was Titan, Sniper and the friend of Sniper... Evan was it? It didn't matter; it seemed he was more ready for the day than Sniper. Frostbite gave a nod of greeting to Titan first before giving one to both Sniper and his friend. He then kept himself standing, adjusting his mask as he did. He also took a subtle glance at his watch; he was just on time... good.

"June 15th..."

It was a warm night in Millennia city, a silver car had pulled up to the apartment complex of a young Axle Niebo. He rushed to get in the car. "Oh man, I'm sorry that I had you guys wait so long, I had to work over time because Tim was sick and..." He was interrupted my what looked like a mustached older version of him, "It's alright, son." He says gruffly with a chuckle. "Hi, Axle." A dark haired woman said in the passenger seat, "Hi, Janet." Axle said to his Step-Mom. "You'd be surprised at how many restaurants are open at midnight that aren't bars." Janet laughs. Then suddenly as if time slowed, his dad turned to him, "Axle," His father says, Axle looks at himself he was his partial robot self, they were now in a pure white room, "Hello, Son." He says, "D... Dad?" Axle says tears welling up in his eyes. "Son... Remember, You are your own man." They were back in the car, they were about to cross an intersection but a semi tuck with a gas tank attached to it comes closer, and closer, and closer, and close... His alarm goes off.

---------

He awake tears down his face. "That... That dream." He says quietly. This isn't the first time he had this dream, it's been happening every day for a year. He gets out of his bed. He turns off his alarm, 'time for the first mission' he thinks. He stands wipes the sleep and tears from his face. He leaves his room, he notices a trail of frost, 'well... I guess I'll go this way.' He thinks following the frost to the intended room. When he enters the room, he doesn't really recognized any of them, other then Sam. One thing he did notice was frost bites suit. He nods to Sam making sure she sees him. He then stands next to Frostbite, "That suit, is..." He snaps his fingers trying to remember, "Dr. Cold, right?" He says remembering see something about her in Epsilon archives.

Mack had been 'awake' throughout the night, most of his functions disabled, gaining power due to a bright light in his room. Hearing the sounds of the team waking up, he rose and exited his room, making sure to turn on his functions as he left, and turning off the light that shone upon everything in Mack's room. He suddenly remembered something; today would be the day that the team's first mission was decided. Upon a quick search in his memory, he remembered the file that had been sent to him the day before. His tail wagged at the thought of actually getting to get rid of some of the evil in the city.

Mack turned and walked down the hall, walking to the command center. Upon entering, he discovers that some of the team were already there. "Good morning to you all." Mack says, strolling in and sitting in a corner of the room and looking around. "I hope you all slept well." He adds in as he sits upright. He didn't want to look 'lazy', as that would most likely be the wrong impression to give.

Dixie had woken up at 7am, like she did every morning, and started getting ready for the day. She put on her makeup, straightened than curled her hair, slipped on a short denim dress and her favorite boots and belt around her waist. Appearances were very important to her, for if she looked good, she felt good. If she appeared composed, she could pretend she was completely composed. Dixie looked at herself in her mirror, giving herself a pep talk about the day. Everyone was going to like her and be her friend. If they found crime, they would stop it without anyone getting hurt. Things were going to be just fine. She nodded, pulling out her Bible and praying for several minutes, almost losing track of time before realizing she needed to head to the command center.

Rushing her steps, but not jogging or running, making sure to still keep the appearance of a lady, Dixie made her way around the mansion. She hesitated a few times, almost getting lost, but she walked in a room and found some of her other teammates already gathered. And especially since Sam was there, she could assume this was the right spot. ”Umm… hi,” she said softly, a small wave to them all before leaning against a wall and folding her hands together behind her, hidden, so she could twist her fingers nervously without being judged.

Fingers woven securely together, knotting both of her hands into fists, the slender woman drew in her bottom lip and let her teeth glide over the supple surface, grinding out the last of her agitation. She had to sedate any belligerence that was pent up, ready to flood from her mouth in a frenzied storm. Her mind traveled frequently back and forth - in constant debate over what she could, and could not focus her thoughts on. Sam huffed out a warm breath of air, reluctantly uncurling her fingers. Today, there was no room for her quips - she was strictly on the job. Her eyes had flickered up, flaming like a candle in the moonlight, locking onto the two forms that trudged through the room first.

Skylar, and his friend, Evan. One seemed rather perky, and the other....well, definitely not a morning person. Tilting her head in acknowledgment, Sam leaned back against the wall opposite them - away from where the others would gather, no doubt near the entryway. She was taken by surprise when Evan spoke to her, most especially the kind words that spilled out from him. She'd stared blankly at him for about two heartbeats before replying, in a distant monotone, a quick "I did, thank you." The words squeezed out from deep within, awkward coming from her. The taste of those words were so different, she had absently swiped a tongue over her lips to cleanse them of the memory.

Not too long afterward, the room was cast in a chill, and long before her breath had begun to hang in the air, the demon braced herself for the figure to approach. Crisp and cold, the air nipped at her skin, causing the hair at the nape of her neck to lift slightly, as if ready to detach from their chilled home. Frostbite strode into the room, his large form imposing, demanding attention, if at least for a fleeting glance. Sam returned his dutiful nod with a respectable one of her own. In truth, she didn't trust the mercenary-esque man, he was a sword for hire when it came down to it. He was like her, in a sense. Moving her fiery gaze along, she trailed it to Axle - whom was busying himself in a slightly one-sided conversation with Frostbite. Glancing to the clock, she brought her lips together in a frown. The team wasn't doing well on keeping with the time.

Bladewolf had also joined the group, taking up a sitting position near the table. "Hello, good morning to you as well." Her eyes darkened, "At least I hope," She noted a motion near the door - another person. "Considering, I'll need you all to be at your best." She was surprised to hear herself speak like this, it wasn't like she cared at all about them. This was all strictly business. Quickly, to amend her statement, she added: "I don't want to have to drag back corpses, is all."
The demon found herself looking toward the source of the latest flurry of motion, silent against the wall. She had distanced herself from Frostbite, as well as the others, hiding her hands behind her. Aaelith let her eyes bore into the girl, the flames from earlier flickering once more. No emotion crossed her already distant face, rather she offered yet another tilt of her head, holding it and looking up at the new arrival from behind her lashes. "Welcome, we'll be going over the briefing shortly... If the other's would get here, that is.." She muttered the last bit of her sentence, raising her head and once more biting her bottom lip, deep in concentration. Aaelith lifted an army-boot clad foot, placing it up against the wall of flashing electronics behind her. Today was off to a great start.

Beauty was definitely not a morning person. She hated waking up so damn early. The only reason she did wake up was she knew that the team had a mission to start. It took her maybe a hour and a half to take a shower, put on make up, and get dressed. She may be named Beauty, but even she needs "some" help in the morning. Making sure her dress was wrinkleless. After getting everything situated Beauty walked into the command center. She saw Skip and Ian? Something like that, Skip sure didn't like mornings just like her; he just showed it more. Ian was too hyper for Beauty's taste. She then saw the dog robot, he was weird but cute to Beauty. She patted him on the head on her way in. Then she saw Sam who as usual looked pissed off. "Sorry...but at least I'm not the last to show up." Then she saw Dixie, she bee lined it to the seat next to her, she was the only one so far in the room that Beauty could tolerate. "I wonder what the mission is going to be, I hope we get to beat up some punks or something fun, like that." Looking at herself in her compact mirror the whole time, still talking about the mission. She was barely paying attention to Dixie, if she left right now Beauty would probably not notice.

What a harrowing night. A vague reel of nightmarish images coupled with constant tossing and turning was still on playback while Elizabeth stumbled around her room to retrieve her clothing. No time for anything fancy. Pair of jeans, clean shirt, and shoes. After throwing on a hoodie for good measure, Elizabeth rubbed her eyes in hopes that her vision would quit blurring. She put her hand on the door handle, and then winced as a wave of dull pain wracked her mind. "That doesn't bode well for a fucking anything..." She murmured, trudging out of her room. Ill omens aside, she might as well go meet with the others.

A handful of minutes later and she found her way to everyone else. Hard to miss a robotic dog walking through the halls, but Elizabeth could swear she felt something powerful and almost threatening somewhere in this mansion. She stopped dead in mid step as she saw the others. Something made her heart drop; made her feel like she should run far, far away, but the almost involuntary response didn't make sense. It was slowly overridden as she managed to put her foot down and continue walking toward the others.

There wasn't any point listening to what Beauty was thinking. It was going to be pretentious as ever, so Elizabeth saved herself the grief and kept to herself, passively listening until something important came up.

AX-L approached and stood by Frostbite, presumably to make some kind of small talk. Frostbite continued to look forward as AX-L started to speak, "That suit, is..." Frostbite faintly listened to what was being said out of disinterest, he wasn't about to talk about his suit, or his situation, or anything about-

AX-L snapped his fingers, "Dr. Cold, right?" Frostbite flinched, his hands clenching slightly. How did he know about Dr. Cold? Did he work for her? Does he work for her? What does he know about her?

Frostbite caught himself before he tried to jump to conclusions. If AX-L knew her personally, he most likely wouldn't have openly mentioned her to him, not if he knew about what happened. Unless, of course, this is her way of warning Frostbite to stay away. A quick glance to the cyberneticly-limbed man told Frostbite that this man is, quite possibly, free of her influence. What remains unanswered is 'How', and more importantly 'What', he knows about her.

With a slightly muffled and electronically amplified voice, Frostbite answered him, "Yes. Dr. Cold..." Turning his attention back to the open air in front of him, Frostbite continued to speak, "Tell me... What do you know about her." Now may not be the time for a full conversation about the matter, but Frostbite had to check how deep this pool of information was.
