[IC] Pokemon Colosseum: What Remains

Keiten chuckled at the Peons jumping down at them acting all big and mighty. It appeared he missed some drama from before and was going to make up for it though it appeared that he wouldn't be getting a chance to battle anyone. Ross was going to take on the blue cipher peon who was using a Bayleaf and Larvitar. By his tone it seemed like he had something personal against that specific peon though he wouldn't ask about it. They all held grudges against them in the end.

He glanced at Tinder and back at the red cipher peon who released an Alakazam and a Marshtop. Instantly he was able to tell that the Marshtop was a shadow pokemon though he knew that Tinder would figure it out soon enough due to their Snag Machines. "Well, have fun. Make sure you both win." Keiten sprinted off to Eagun's home, knowing that he would probably face off against a cipher peon later.

Tinder's eyes narrowed as she stared down the peon. "You had your chance to run." Garchomp roared at the Alakazam viciously. Her Metang followed his lead and glared at the Marshtop. "Magnet Rise, Metang." The Pokemon rose off of the ground as Tinder called, "Earthquake, Garchomp!" the dragon roared as they ground around them began to shake and crack with his fury then rushed in a rolling wave at the Alakazam and Marshtop.

[Chev]

"You had your chance to run."

The Peon in red grinned under his mask. "I never run from a fight. Not like this idiot here." He said pointed at the nearby blue Peon.

He watched as the ground around them began to heave and shake and he pointed at his Alakazam. "Use Reflect! Then Psychic!" He ordered the Pokemon who swiftly formed a barrier around itself and then unleashed waves of Psychic energy at the Garchomp. The Peon didn't seem to care that his Shadow Pokemon was pretty much left undefended. He pointed at the Metang and uttered a simple command. "Hydro pump!" He shouted. The Shadow Pokemon seemed to hesitate for a moment as it saw the quaking earth rolling towards it.

"Do it! Make yourself useful and do it!" The Cipher Peon shouted angrily as he threw a rock at the Pokemon's head who growled in response and glared hatefully at the Peon but turned back to Metang and fired a stream of water from it's mouth at the levitating Pokemon.

Ross looked uneasily at the Bayleef. It was giving him the same uneasy feeling as the Marshtomp. Could it be another Shadow Pokemon? He wondered to himself.

"Larvitar! Use Crunch on the Ryhorn!" The Peon shouted. Ross watched in horror as the Larvitar charged at Ryhorn. "Dodge it buddy! Then use horn attack!" Ryhorn barely managed to get out of the way but managed to turn around before the Larvitar could regain it's footing and charged it with it's horn and slammed into it. The Larvitar hit the ground with a thud and didn't get back up.

"Useless!" The Peon shouted angrily as it turned to the Bayleef. "You! Use Shadow Rush on the Machoke and knock it out!" The Bayleef let out an angry roar and launched it self at Machoke who looked at Ross for directions. Ross smiled despite the situation. "Use Cross Chop...Now!" He shouted just as the bayleef got in range. Machoke raised both of it's hands and brought them down on the Bayleef's head, knocking it out cold.

The Peon slammed his feet down on the ground angrily as he ran over to his Shadow Pokemon and kicked it angrily in the side. "Useless Pokemon!" He shouted. "What the hell are you doing?" Ross shouted angrily as he and his two Pokemon ran over as the unknowing Peon continued raining down blows on the Shadow Bayleef who whimpered in pain as it regained consciousness.

Ross's Machoke caught the Peon's hand and pulled the Peon away from the Bayleef. Ross ran over and checked out the wounded Shadow Pokemon. There were bruises on it of course...but there were older ones. Older ones and more recent ones. Ross turned to look at the Peon who was struggling to get away from Machoke. "What did you do to that Pokemon?" He asked in a soft but very dangerous voice.

"That weakling?" The peon muttered. "I gave it what it deserved. It's weak. It's so weak i can't believe it was made into a Shadow Pokemon to be honest." Ross's hand turned into a fist and he punched the Peon straight in the face, hard enough that his fist went through the visor and impacted with the Peon's face. "You don't deserve these two." Ross snarled. "That's why I'm going to take them from you. I'll find that Larvitar a good home, It's not a bad Pokemon, you just force it to do bad things...but Bayleef...I stole one of your organization's shadow Pokemon before, I've seen what you do to them. I'm going to return that Pokemon to it's normal state and I'm going to give it the love and care it deserves."

The Peon looked up at Ross and he could see the fear in his eyes. "Y-You can't! If I go back to the Boss without my Shadow Pokemon they'll beat me to a pulp!" Ross looked down at him with eyes devoid of pity. "Too bad." He said simply as he knocked the Peon out with a blow to the top of the head.

Ross rolled back the sleeve of his jacket to reveal an older model snag machine. He placed a Pokeball in it and the ball glowed slightly as it was converted. "It's okay sweetie." he said soothingly to the Bayleef that was looking up at him. "You'll be safe with me." He said as the Snag ball enveloped the Shadow Pokemon in a bright red light. The ball shook slightly before it stopped shaking. He swiftly walked over to the Larvitar and gently picked up the Pokemon and cradled it in his arms as he looked over at Tinder and her Pokemon and watched as her battle continued.

"I finished off the one over here!" he called. "How are you doing?"

[AeronFarron]

"Metang! Switch with Garchomp!" she yelled out. The psychic and water attacks hit Metang, but the Pokemon didn't look phased much. "Metang, Sanstorm!" The Metang whipped up a massive sandstorm and engulfed their immediate area in a violent mix of dirt, sand and wind, mostly to keep the Alakazam busy. She curled the scarf around her nose and head to protect herself from the sandstorm.

Garchomp glowed as the dragon glared hatefully at the Peon when he threw the rock at the Marshtop. "Garchomp, Dragon Rush that bitch!" a dragon shaped, swirling bright blue energy engulfed the Pokemon. Garchomp bypassed the opposing Pokemon and headed straight for the Peon himself.

She ran over to the Marshtop and held her hands up so it would see them. "Are you ok? He won't harm you anymore." she said to the Marshtop over the storm. "I promise." she threw the snag ball at the Pokemon.

[Chev]

Ross watched in disbelief as the sandstorm formed around the two battlers. It was hard for him to make out who was who through the storm but he had to admit, he was a bit worried about how Tinder was doing. He did manage to catch a glimpse of a bright blue...thing attacked one of the fighters and he feared it was Tinder that was being attacked.

"Tinder!" He shouted over the roar of the sandstorm. "Are you alright?" He shouted again as he began to make his way towards the area of the village that was now a swirling sandstorm. He had to make sure she was okay. He did managed to catch a glimpse of a snag ball hitting the ground and shaking slightly before it stopped moving. Did the Peon capture one of hers or did she managed to capture the Peon's Shadow Pokemon? Ross wondered as he tried to fight his way through the storm.

Waterfall Cavern

Velis looked at the man who had identified himself as Eagun and her eyes widened as she saw how beat down and ragged he looked.

"You were the Mythical trainer?" She asked quietly. "Cipher managed to do this to you?" She asked in disbelief as Eagun told her that he nothing, a failure. "You are NOT a failure!" She shouted angrily. The Old man looked at her and Justine and shook his head. "I am." He replied. "It's thanks to me that the Time Flutes were destroyed and the Relic Stone destroyed."

Velis was tempted to slap the old man upside the head but she restrained herself and smiled a very tight smile. "Old man, today is your lucky day." She said as she reached into her pocket and pulled out the small case that held the last remaining Time flute. "Cipher didn't get them all. Fateen in Pyrite town managed to save this one and she entrusted it to us."

Eagun shook his head. "It doesn't matter. The Time Flute only works once and it will only purify one Shadow Pokemon. You could call Celebi forth once and then it would be gone forever and even then there's no guarantee that it would stay. Celebi was nearly captured back when Cipher destroyed the Relic Stone and as far as I can tell, it was terrified the last time it was here."

Velis smiled. "We're not using it to purify a Shadow Pokemon, although it would be nice to use it for that. We're going to summon Celebi and we're going to try and convince it to come back. Celebi can save the Shadow Pokemon of Orre with it's abilities. It has to realize that. All we need to do is convince it that we are not it's enemies."

Eagun looked up and there was a faint glimmer of hope in his eyes. "I can help you. But we need to get my Pokemon and my wife back. They're being held in a cave near the edge of town. Once we free them, I will gladly help you." The mythical trainer said as he extended his hand to both Velis and Justine.

"Deal." Velis said as she shook the hand. She looked over at Justine. "What do you say?"

[Remram]

Finally, he made it too Eagun's home. Strangely enough there were was no one guarding it, at least not in plain sight though he felt like he was being watched. It was a like a tingling sensation in the back of his neck that told him that he wasn't alone; someone was following him and going to take him down. He knew he was walking into a trap though he walked into the house and looked around. It didn't seem out of the ordinary though the tingling sensation didn't go away. "Tch, I have to work fast." He mumbled to himself as he began to look through the house for any clues of where Eagun had went, or at least any information that could help him.

[Chev]

"Tch, I have to work fast."

"No." A voice said from above him as a figure dressed in silver dropped down behind him and released a Walrein and an Aaron from their Pokeballs. "You have to die. You should have never come here, stranger. My friends outside are taking care of your friends outside. And before you think of grabbing whatever you can and making a run for it, I already have all the Shadow Pokemon purification data that the old man collected before we got him. It works rather well for trapping people who think of defying Cipher."

He smiled under his visor.

"Want to get your Pokemon killed as well? Or would you like to spare them by surrendering them to me?" The Walrein looked unhappy with what it was being forced to do but the Aaron looked almost...eager. It looked like it wanted to fight.

The tingling sensation in the back of his neck had finally gone away and with a smirk had spread on his face. Now that this man had stupidly revealed himself he now knew what he was up against. He cracked his knuckles and turned around to look at the cipher agent, chuckling in amusement. "You know, you really shouldn't have said that. Now all I have to do is start making you sing like a pretty Chatot about that data. It actually makes it a whole lot easier than searching around this place." His red eye scanned the peon who arrogantly told him to die.

Keiten's smirk turned into a frown at the pokemon he saw in front of him. The Walrein sure didn't want to be there and rightly so, it was going to be used to attack against its will though it was the Aaron that was raring to go and fight. The shadowy aura he saw around it made it painfully obvious that it was a shadow pokemon, a pokemon he would have to catch in order to purify it. "You shouldn't assume your opponent is weak. Go Apollo, Thor." With that he threw out two pokeballs and then appeared the shiny Charmeleon and the shadow Electabuzz. The two pokemon growled at the peon and were eager to rip him apart. "Apollo flamethrower on the Aaron! Thor use Shadow Rush on the Walrein!" Apollo shot a stream of fire from its mouth aimed at the steel shadow pokemon, taking advantage over the typing of it while a shadowy aura enveloped Thor. Thor charged at the Walrein with brutal force.

The sandstorm died down and revealed Tinder standing over a snag ball. Garchomp was glaring at the peon, baring his fangs threateningly at the man. His roughened skin did some extra damage in addition to the initial Dragon Rush.

Tinder grabbed the snag ball and stared at it. "Garchomp..." the Pokemon snarled in protest at her tone, "I know. I know, but we have bigger things to focus on. Ross, you ready to get in the house?" she asked. The nearly seven foot tall dragon Pokemon moved over to flank her along with her Metang.

Justine listened to Eagun's plight. Once again another person who had lost everything to Cipher... it made her feel angry, she didn't even realise that her hand was balling up into a fist. When Velis looked at her, Justine gave a nod. "Well, count me in," she said.

[Chev]

"You know, you really shouldn't have said that. Now all I have to do is start making you sing like a pretty Chatot about that data. It actually makes it a whole lot easier than searching around this place."

The Peon smiled under his mask. "You can try." He said simply. His smiled seemed to fade after a moment as he saw that Thor was a Shadow Pokemon like his Aaron. "Where did yo-?" He tried to ask only to watch as flames engulfed the Shadow Aaron who staggered but managed to remain on it's feet. "Take down!" He ordered the Aaron as his Walrein was hit by the Shadow Pokemon and hit the ground with a thud.

"Weak idiot!" He shouted at the Walrein. He turned to look at his Shadow Aaron. "If you lose your going to regret it!" He shouted.

Outside the house

"I know. I know, but we have bigger things to focus on. Ross, you ready to get in the house?"

Ross gently cradled the Larvitar in his arm and watched angrily as the Alakazam vanished in a burst of light. It looked like it was fleeing the battle. "Yeah. Just a minute." He called as he walked over to the other Peon who was still looking on in shock at Tinder. "M-My shadow Pokemon." he muttered angrily. "You think you're going to get away with this?!" He demanded. "You think I'll let you get away?!" He snarled as he got to his feet.

Ross simply pulled back his fist as the Peon continued ranting angrily and cracked the Peon across the face with a good amount of force. The Peon hit the ground with a thud as Ross smiled innocently at Tinder. "Sorry. I don't like people who abuse Pokemon. Besides, he wouldn't shut up, it was getting irritating."

He raised an eyebrow as he saw Eagun's home shake slightly. "Looks like there might be a battle going on in there." He said. "I say we help out."

Waterfall Cavern

"Well, count me in,"

Eagun smiled. "I thank you for your help." He said as he began heading for a darker part of the cavern. "There's an exit this way. It should allow us to avoid some of the Cipher trainers outside. But I must warn you, they always have at least two people guarding the cavern and I believe that they do have Shadow Pokemon." His eyes narrowed as he recalled the Cipher trainer who had thwarted his last rescue attempt and had forced him to hide in the cavern.

"There is a female Cipher trainer who wears black armor who always seems to be there. She's very good with her Pokemon and utterly ruthless when it comes to battling. She was able to stop me the last time I tried to rescue my wife. But..the last time I saw her, her Pokemon had this blank look in their eyes. Like they didn't know where they were."

[AeronFarron]

Tinder didn't seem bothered by Ross' actions. The peon was lucky that she had called off her Garchomp, he'd probably be lunch by now if she hadn't. "It's fine." she said then looked at him. She gave a small smile at Ross then ran over to the house.

[Remram]

Keiten sighed at the sight of the Walrein being knocked out in one blow. It pained him to see him a pokemon like that being pushed around by a less than competent trainer, especially a cipher peon though right now he couldn't show mercy. "The pokemon is only as strong as the trainer." He told the cipher peon in response to his insults and demands of his pokemon.

"Apollo use Dragon Claw!" The flaming reptilian's claws glowed bright blue and it lunged straight at the Aaron's strike, its claws colliding against the head of the steel pokemon. Its armored head felt incredibly hard against its claws. The force of the collision caused the furniture in the house to shake and Apollo quickly leapt back to get out of range of the pokemon.

"Char char!" Apollo cried out to Keiten.

His owner frowned at him and responded with, "I know, I'm going to do it!" The Snag Machine on his arm started to glow with red lines on it and grabbed an ultra ball which turned into a snag ball. "Come on!" He threw his snag ball at the Shadow Aaron, the ball hit it and turned into a white light before the ball landed on the ground shaking.

[Chev]

"The Pokemon is only as strong as the trainer."

"Shut up!" The Peon snarled

"I know, I'm going to do it!"

The Peon let out a shout of rage as he saw the snag machine on the trainer's arms and shook his head rapidly as he saw the snag ball emitted a white light that when gone, had taken the Shadow Pokemon with it. The ball shook a few times before it stopped moving.

The Peon let out a howl of range and immediately charged at Keiten, ready to beat the living hell out of him.

"That's my Shadow Pokemon! Give it back or I'll face the beating of a lifetime!" He shouted as he threw a punch as Keiten's head.

[Remram]

"Hell yes." Keiten smirked when the ball stopped. It was his first pokemon that he had snagged and it felt really good to see that he had rescued one pokemon from cipher. It was one step in the right direction of finally defeating Cipher once and for all. The peon's rage only made it oh so more the satisfying to snag the shadow pokemon.

The Peon's punch would be easily countered by the young hitman. He quickly grabbed the peon's fist before it could hit his head and with a swift yet powerful jab he punched his solar plexus hard enough to hinder his breathing for a temporary time and cause an intense pain. Then he kicked him hard enough to smash him through a wooden table in the room, knocking him out cold. "Dumbass." He muttered to himself.

With haste, he grabbed the peon and tied him tightly to a chair using the table cloth from the wooden table and used the peon's own scarf to tie his hands up so he couldn't move. "Now what to do to make sure he doesn't speak...?" He rummaged through the place and found good old duct tape. The silver helmet that the peon wore was removed and he ripped a big piece of duck tape before slabbing it on his face. "Perfect." Keiten admired his work for a second before he took a step towards the captive peon and slapped his face hard to wake him up. "Wake up sunshine. The sun is out, the day is beautiful, and you are absolutely fucked."

[Chev]

"Wake up sunshine. The sun is out, the day is beautiful, and you are absolutely fucked."

"You are correct." The Peon snarled. "Master Hiri will most likely kill me for having my Shadow Pokemon stolen from me." He said with an angry glare. "How is this going to work?" The peon asked sarcastically. "Are you going to try and tell me the error of my ways? Convert me to the path of nobility and honor and set me against Cipher?"

"It's fine."

Ross grinned over at Tinder and found that the door was locked. He pounded against it for a few moments to try and get in. The house had stopped shaking which hopefully meant that the battle was now over. He looked over at his Machoke and motioned it towards the door.

"Do you mind?" He asked. The Machoke grinned and punched the door, sending it flying off it's hinges and creating a small dust cloud.

Ross looked in the door and saw that Keiten had managed to capture a Cipher Peon and had him tied to a chair. He motioned Tinder inside the house. "After you." He said with a grin.

[AeronFarron]

Tinder smirked at Ross, "What a gentleman. Thank you." she said to him before she walked in through the door. She looked at the Peon then at Keiten before she began to rummage through any books. Garchomp leered at the Peon then looked to his partner pleadingly.

Tinder felt the gaze from her Pokemon and sighed. She set a few books on Metang's head and used it as a table. "If the nice man that gift wrapped the peon says it is ok, you can play with the toy." she waved him off nonchalantly then continued to flip through the book. Garchomp made a happy little noise then gleefully made the puppy eyes to Keiten. He really wanted to play since she didn't let him play with the other one.

[Remram]

Keiten smiled at the peon though it was as insincere it could get. In fact his smile was filled with sadism, which would be his answer to the peon's question. "It would be stupid to try and convert an idiot like you. I'm going to make you sing like a Chatot." From his belt he pulled out a knife and held it to the man's throat though it made its way down to his nether regions. "Now start talking."

The crash of the door flying had taken him aback and he stepped back from the peon and was about to order his pokemon to attack. When he saw it was just Tinder and Ross he calmed down and shook his head. "A little warning next time." He glanced back at the Garchomp and back at the peon. "How about this? If you tell me everything you know right now I won't let the Garchomp use you as his chew toy." In reality if he didn't tell him and even if he did tell them everything he was still going to let the dragon pokemon go at him anyway.

"Meh, I'm okay with taking out some Cipher grunts," Justine said, grinning slightly. "Just let 'em try and get close. I'll take 'em all on single-handedly if I have to." Though at Eagunn's last bit, she sighed. "Shadow Pokemon, I guess?" She looked down at the snag machine on her arm. She then grinned again. "Well, I guess if we come across this Cipher trainer, we'll just take her Shadow Pokemon and make 'em all nice and well again." She put her hands on her hips. "Seriously, Cipher stands no chance!"

In agreement, Jasper gave a loud bark.

[Chev]

"How about this? If you tell me everything you know right now I won't let the Garchomp use you as his chew toy."

Ross looked a bit concerned but he was confident that both Keiten and Tinder were both bluffing. But the Peon looked as though he was about to wet himself as he stared at the three of them and then back at the Garchomp. "I...Uh...I...can't." He muttered. "I don't really know anything except where the notes about the purification process of Shadow Pokemon are. That's all I know! I swear!"

"Well, I guess if we come across this Cipher trainer, we'll just take her Shadow Pokemon and make 'em all nice and well again."

Eagun couldn't help but smile as he led them through the back entrance to the waterfall cavern and after a few minutes of walking, they arrived at the entrance overlooking the small cave where Eagun's wife was being held. Sure enough, there was a Cipher Peon wearing black armor standing outside the cave. Velis narrowed her eyes.

"I'll handle the Peon in black. You two get back there, Grab Eagun's wife and Pokemon and get out of there. If you run into anymore Cipher trainers try and take em out before they can call for help."

Without waiting, Velis jumped down and landed in front of the Cipher Peon and smiled as her Quilava's flames began to arc on it's back and Croconaw growled. "Hello." Velis said sweetly. "My name is-"

"Velis?!" The peon asked in shock.

Velis's eyes widened in shock as she heard a voice she had never expected to hear again.

"Tanya?!"

The two stared at each other in shock and Tanya pulled her helmet off to reveal a woman with chestnut brown hair and blue eyes. Tanya narrowed her eyes. "Been a long time, sis." She said angrily. "Since you went and blabbed to Cipher about what Pokemon we had at the house."

"Me?! I've been running from Cipher for years now! I didn't tell them anything!" Velis protested as Tanya pulled out two Pokeballs and two Pokemon appeared in flashes of light. A Nidoqueen and a Hitmonlee.

"I don't want to fight you Tanya." Velis said quietly as her Pokemon rushed in front of her and stared at Tanya and then at Velis in confusion. They knew Tanya. They recognized her but they didn't know why she was wearing the uniform of a Cipher trainer.
