History (as much or as little as you like): She was there on the day the wall fell. She was orphaned at the age of 13, and lived by the seat of her pants. She joined the scouts feeling as though she had no other option. She lost everyone who was important to her and often was shunned like an ugly stray cat.
Personality:She doesn't very much care if she's titan fodder. She joined the scouts not because she particularly wants to fight them, but she wants to know what makes them tick, and strongly believes there is more than meets the eye. She is cold and detached from most people, but if you can get close she has a wicked sense of humor. She makes a good spy, and is calculating. Sarcasm is a second language to her.

---History (as much or as little as you like, just give me something interesting): Akane has always lived a sheltered life inside Wall Rose- literally and figuratively, mind you. She was never much of a risk taker, nor much of a leader. Being an only child, Akane often spent her days playing by herself, or with Yuuya, one of her close friends, who was only a few years older than she. Though her parents regularly argued, these fights were never physical, so one could say her childhood was rather normal. Though the fall of Wall Maria hadn't affected her as badly as most, Akane made an effort to help those who lost their homes on that day. She'd offer bits of her food to those who weren't able to receive much, or nothing at all. Times were tough, but Akane refused to let that thought weigh her down. Wanting to further help her people, thoughts of enrolling into one of the big three crossed her mind. However, on her way to visit Yuuya, she was informed that he had left to join the Scouts. Her best friend since childhood left to fight titans, without so much as a single word of farewell. This left Akane in a slump, and her mood only worsened as she received news of Yuuya's death during battle. After this, Akane refused to join the scouts, and almost gave up on all thoughts of enlistment. However, with a bit of self encouragement, Akane reasoned she might as well make her life worth something, whether it be service to the king or otherwise.
---Personality: Akane is a rather bubbly individual, despite the harsh times currently at hand. She'd probably give an arm to someone in need- though, not literally. Can't regenerate those, you know. However, though rare, there are days where Akane is in a rather serious/foul mood. She might snap at you, speak what's on her mind, or worse- slap you with a sea bass.

Oh, and to clear up the confusion for ages... Eren began and ended his training at age 15, it's slightly hidden on the wiki, but if you look at how old he is stated to have been when the titans attacked (age 10), as well as what year it was (year 845), then what year it says he finished training (850) and how long it said that he had to wait to join in between (five years), then the answer is right there

History: Throughout his life, he never even thought of joining the military, it was always distant to him. It wasn't even an option in his mind... Not that he was against it, but his family always spoke of how stupid it was to be a part of it, seeing as his older brother had vocalized his wish to join often. If Ryan had any wish to join, his family's constant conflict about the subject squashed the thought from his mind, and so, instead he planned on becoming chef. He always liked helping people, and what else did people need more than food? Over his life, he practiced making food with his mother, learning how to become a chef at least good enough to cook for friends and family, and every time he cooked, he would make sure he made a little extra to give to the stray animals passing by the area. As he learned to better himself when it came to cooking, his brother had joined the military. Ryan was only 12 when his brother left, and only 14 when the military's messenger came to his family's home with a grim face. Ryan's brother had been labeled MIA. No one knew exactly what happened, but the military told Ryan's parents that he probably died attempting to save the rest of his squad. Much of the rest of that squad had been found in pieces, such as arms, legs, even a half of a torso. Hearing this, Ryan decided he would go out in search of his brother... No signs of him had been found, and if he was still alive, Ryan had to know.

Does that come from the sea I've heard about?" He looks up from the paper, "I thought no one knew where the sea was...? If you guys know where it is, shouldn't you tell someone?" (keep in mind, in AoT's world, the sea's location isn't known)
