[IC] Travelers: A world of magic, myths and adventures

The waves of blistering heat hit the crew as they walked through the barren wastelands set before them. It seemed void of life or any real hope of finding the next village or kingdom, or any place to replenish supplies. Still they marched onward as to keep from seemingly melting. Kanji looked at his map as he walked with the others, the dessert was large but he had still underestimated it. He wondered if it continued even off the map and that they had done the same, but at this point there was no way to tell. Breifly he looked back to the group before him. He had let them down if they died here, assuring them this was an ideal route to the cities of a great desert kingdom he heard much about. It made it all the worse that he had brought them here selfishly, sure his father was there.

some backstory

hanji was sitting at her desk when someone walked over to her and said 'hanji our company is almost bankrupt! you need to do something! 'i thought we were making money already!' hanji said in a angry tone 'also i have no friggin idea how to save this company!' hanji replied 'well there was rumors of a cure......' the person said 'tell me' hanji told him 'well there was rumors that a plant known as aeshes could cure the virus but its very rare and only grows in a desert' the person said 'well i am going after it ' hanji said as she got up [a few minutes later] hanji was riding a carriage in a desert with a bunch of mercenaries she hired and then all of a suddenly the carriage tips over!

i woke up in a tipped carriage with a bunch of dead people [i......i am hanji] hanji clutched her head and recived a bunch of visions one was a flower and a desert,the other was a coin and it was burning [why am i here? why am i receiving visions?] &-hanji can no longer remember who she was due to unknown causes-& [i think i must find a....flower?] hanji looked around and noticed nobody was there except for a few corpses. hanji began to walk around for a while [so thirsty] a pounding thirst made her weak,hanji tipped over and fell asleep due to dehydration

[some time later]

hanji woke up with sand in her face and got back up and noticed a group of people weirdly her thirst was a lot more bare able but it won't be long before dehydration kicks in,hanji yells out to the group of people and 'hey! over here!' and waved to them

Keribo trudged on, showing no signs of fatigue or being affected by the heat. He stood almost directly behind Kanji and knew they were lost the second the man looked back. He didn't voice his suspicion, and instead studied the landscape before them. Inwardly, he was in no good shape, parched and hungry, having been neglecting the instinct to feed himself with the diminishing supplies and drank far more sparingly than was called for. He felt he could last longer than the others without food and little water, leaving most for them to share amongst themselves.

It wasn't long before he noticed the woman currently calling to them, and started running to her. "A woman..." He thought to himself. "What's she doing out here?"

Kanji looked up from his map to agree with his friend, rushing to save the woman. "you ok ma'am" he shouted a bit reluctant to help the woman. They had barely enough food for themselves but no they needed to feed another. Still he would never forgive himself for doing such a thing, and perhaps they would get directions from the lady, but he doubted it. Still it was worth a shot. Now nearing the lady kanji inhaled the stench of rotting flesh and attempted to hold in his near vomit reaction. Now putting his hand on the rapier strapped on his lower hip he wondered what would come next.

'no where the heck am i? why am i even here!' hanji asked the weird stranger [who the heck are these people?] 'i just woke up here and all i remember was that my names Hanji and was searching for some flower i dunno!' hanji said with a crazed look in her eyes [is that even my real name!?]

The heat was oppressive. Wind hadn't blew for days. Shades were rare. Because of that, the heat stroke with all his power. For some the heat was terrible for others it wasn't a pain. For Susanne it wasn't such pain. But not because of her abilities or her strength of will. But her clothes. She only wear a beautiful simple black dress. Nothing more. Not even shoes. She loved the feeling when her toes burrow into the hot sand. That's why she was not affected by the heat like others. And of course, the supporting from her little pet Hector, who spend Susanne shade with one of his big hands (his hand was almost as tall as Susanne herself) since they entered the desert.

If you see Hector the first time, you would propably say that he is bizarre. And you are probably right with this. Hector was twice as big as Susanne. His hands and his head was really big, but his legs were definitely to short for the rest of his body. Hector has no eyes but a perfect sense of smell. Hector are definitely bizarre, but don't tell this Susanne. She hates it if someone bullies her little friend.

Susanne's hands were on her back. On her lips was a complacent smile. And by every step it seems like she would jump a bit. She looked like a defiant child.

Suddenly Kanji and Keribo ran away. Susanne finally discovered the new person. She turned back and told: "Come, Hector". With an undefined but approving grumble, Susanne and Hector, who still spend Susanne shade, went to Keribo and Kanji.

"Calm down." Keribo said calmly and quietly as he approached the woman, not at all deterred by the stench or the way she was almost panicking. He smiled at her. "Everything's going to be alright. You're lucky we found you. My name's Keribo." With this heat, it was very possible she was experiencing a heat-stroke, which confusion and disorientation is a major sign. And since she's in the middle of this ridiculously large desert, it's almost an impossibility that she just got out here. He turned back to Susanne when the others got to them. There was no time to waste. "Have Hector shade her" -he looked at the others- "and someone get me the water and a rag. We're turning back immediately after I've finished and we're taking her with us. It's not like we were really going anywhere anyways."

He turned an accusatory glare at Kanji, damning him in his mind, both for getting them lost and for reasons he probably wouldn't remember when they were out of the heat. Damn this heat was making him cranky... After telling them what to do, using a tone that definitely conveyed the urgency of the situation, with a sprinkling of heat induced 'don't fuck with me/just do what I tell you' anger, he turned back to the woman and started checking her, without her consent, feeling her forehead and looking her over for signs of dehydration or overheating. "How are you feeling Miss Hanji?" He asked, the anger seeming to dissipate instantly.

Bletilla crawled out of the camel carcass that she used to protect herself from the previous nights sandstorm. The beast had died due to dehydration (a rare thing for a camel). She was sad to see it go, but at the very least, it's death kept her alive.

She did a few stretches to warm up her rather stiff body, and looked around to see if there was a meal in sight.

hanji walked up to this big creature she was pretty scared but shade was kinda rare, [ok ok giant monsters that's totally not evil!] and then she heard some person said her name [how did he know my name! if that is even my name......] 'i don't know i just woke up at a destroyed carriage filled with corpses and all i know is that my names hanji and i have to find some flower! I barely even know who i am!' hanji said rather scaredishly with a crazed look in her eyes [can i trust these people and that thing!? i just wake up and these people are here!] and then suddenly hanji just snapped 'so who the heck are you then!' and yelled at the mysterious boy

Kanji, waited for the others to do there thing, he was no good at talking, and he was busy looking at the map than to deal with the girl, he could swear they were pratically right next to the city he was looking for. (spoilers) As he heard keribo talk of taking the girl with them he sighed, it wasn't the best thing to do but he'd rather not risk a fight with the man, he as pretty scrappy at the moment. "listen, I don't mind her tagging along but the fact of the matter is we'll need to make up for the money we lose from paying for her" he muttered to the others without looking up from his paper.

hanji heard a person say something [that person is obviously the leader of this team] and then noticed that if she didn't pay them she was going to be ditched [oh wonderful! i can definitely trust these people!] hanji sighed and gritted her teeth then got up still a bit shocked 'lets go i guess' hanji said as she got up [my life expectancy is as long as my cash wonderful!] hanji checked herself for cash and noticed she had about $1000 [wow i must be loaded!]

Kanji looked over briefly only to see the woman was loaded, and smiled to her contently before looking back to the map. "I believe the place should be no longer than a few hours until we're there, I hope we can replenish there" he let out before looking to the new girl. "Keribo trust you so you're good to go for now, he said you're name is hanji? Well mine is kanji, similar I know, but you're not going to get any were if we can't feed you as well, we don't have much left to survive" Kanji commented as he raised a hand to her as to let her up. "come then, I'm sure we can help fine this flower of yours" he said with a ever so casual smile, he had his hands no were near his weapons.

"Hmm, no food," said Bletilla. "Oh! But there is people."

Bletilla made a big leap across the sand, her weapons and luggage in tow, and landed right in front of the group. It should be mentioned that because she had been in the desert for some time, she hasn't been able to find material to make clothes, i.e she was completely naked.

"Hello!"

some kid named kanji came and talked to her [well i can trust him.......i guess] and followed him and the group for a bit and then a naked girl [bletilla] jumped into the middle of the group causing hanji to scream and fall back hanji got back up and sighed [this place gets weirder and weirder]

Of course, James had been with the group the whole time, but had a book in hand, reading. He'd been silent this whole time, but still followed the group.

hanji slowly walked away a bit from the strange naked lady [bletilla] 'put on some clothes darnit!' hanji yelled at the obviously retarded girl [guess i'm not the only one who is mental here]

Kanji looked up again to see a young naked lady and to fall over, his nose bleeding. "just can't get a brake can we" He mumbled. Now standing up, wiping the blood from his upper lip with his already stained cloak and moving towards her with his hand on the rapier behind him. "ma'am, please state your business her" he said making sure only to look her in the eyes.

hanji grabbed her backpack and searched for some clothes and luckily found some, 'wear this you stupid nudist!' hanji threw the clothes at her rather rudely

The girl ignored their complaints and inspected the clothes offered to her. She moved it across her hands before shrugging and tossing it back. "Uncomfortable in desert, bad choice, no," was Bletilla's reply. "Hunting food, thought you help, maybe?"

Still gripping the weapon on his back, all while staring the woman down his eyes began to blister and turn red as his rage began to break, his power to not look down was begining to wear on his and he was catching himself on her neck. "Hunting food in a desert is not recommended but all help is welcome" He said as he began to look around her, wishing she'd put on the clothes.
