Name: Fir Juneau
Race: Human
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Bio:
Fir Juneau is the young daughter of the chief designer and founding member of Gruppe Juneau, a company of moderate size that produces electronics and small arms under a philosophy that aims to protect the common man. Unlike other companies that enjoy success in their own markets, Gruppe Juneau no longer employs Faunus labor or even a large human workforce for an industrial company of their size. Seeing a Faunus work force as increasingly troublesome in the face of violence by the White Fang, the Juneau family retooled their factories to mechanized labor, laying off a large portion of their workforce, and coming under controversy in their own, special way.
The Juneau family, while manufacturers of weapons for the common people, also hail from a line of huntsmen and huntresses. Nearly every member of the family is a hunter, and as a daughter growing up under the auspices of the main family, Fir is no exception to this rule.
Juneau can be described as a moderate person; level-headed and one that strays away from quickly picking sides in a conflict. She is however equally an opportunist as much as she is a cautious person, and will, in fact, jump in to something if she decides it benefits her in some way. She has an unflinching, energetic aura about her. It is not described as overbearing or obnoxious, but more refined and tight, like a charismatic public speaker.
Like the members of her family before her, she was sent to a renowned preparatory academy at the age of thirteen. It was at the last year of this academy that she designed her first and only weapon, a complex display of craftsmanship that is closely bound and tailored specifically with her semblance in mind.
Graduating with honors, she applied and entered Beacon.
Lancekravt
Appearances can be deceiving. Fir uses a sleek, metal staff of a length just above two meters. Indeed, it could be used as a cruelly effective beating stick, but it is simply the compact form of a two-mode gun barreled weapon. The Lancekravt can be folded out and by pressing a mechanical button, can extend to three meters and ten meters for its respective firing modes. At three meters, Lancekravt is an auto-cannon, capable of rapid or burst fire of small explosive shells. At ten meters, Lancekravt is a compact “gun,” capable of firing pin-point accurate artillery-like shots at a steady rate of fire.
The beauty of this weapon, however, is not in its flexible firing modes or its complex dust firing mechanism, but by the fact that it seems to have no tangible magazine.
Hammerspace
Hammerspace, is, for all intents and purposes, the ability to phase objects in and out of tangible existence. To an extent, it renders weight and size of objects irrelevant, such that they can be carried on Juneau’s body without being over encumbered by weight or sheer number of objects. As to where these objects exist, they would be on or around her body, but since the notion of “there” is disconnected from the notion of existing, Fir can only have a finite number of objects phased, equal to the amount that she can keep track of. To mitigate this issue, she packs large count items such as shells into larger, individual units. This ability is restricted to objects that she can pick up. For example, a bomb or a pillow can be easily phased away, but a car, tree, or large table would be far out of her range of ability.
Therein lies the ammo-less ability of Lancekravt; the lanced weapon is in fact supplied by a magazine that is temporarily phased out of perceptible reality.
Fir’s main strength lies in Lancekravt. With large caliber ammunition as a non-issue thanks to her semblance, her weapon provides a marked increase in firepower and sustained staying power than those of other hunters. Her skill in this regard can be considered reasonable, but much of it is academic skill and is not tried or true in battle. It remains to be seen how much this translates into real-world ability.
Unfortunately, her nature and use of her semblance leads to Juneau having a diminished Aura pool from which to draw from. While she may excel at dishing out sheer damage, she would not be able to take a fraction of the damage that she could deal out.
