I was talking with Gourmet last night and in my severe lack-of-sleep-induced-silliness I came up with nicknames for people here. Italia delightedly invited me to share them here.

Skullsandslippers: Morbid Fuzzy Footwear. Skulls seems so cuddly now.

Fernstone: Stoning Weed (Fern as 'grass' or 'weed', stone as getting stoned and with how tired I was, 'Pepsi addict' related to coke/coka-cola addict and coke is also cocaine) .

Gourmet Italia: Om-nomia! (a om-nom-nom play on the stereotypical Italian man exclaiming, "Mamamia!")

@FernStone - You know ... I've always wanted to visit Scotland and in time, may take a flight over to spend a whole week or two! I know Scotland is probably a place you wouldn't find out of the ordinary since you live there, but like-wise, you would find California an adventure where as I would want to travel elsewhere 8).

We'll just hang out here and be patient with Skulls' posting date. It's been a little while since the IC's seen any plot activity. Perhaps this wait's actually a blessing in disguise, given that the extra time can be taken to ... oh ... I don't know ... flawlessly raid Conqvist's secret pastry stash without serious repercussions ;)

Extra pastries in a dark Renaissance is something to think about!!

It is pronounced 'ben', not 'bain'; however, the nibbles is spot-on. I very often eat very slowly while at the computer...

And my heritage is primarily from the United Kingdom-Scottish and Irish the largest components proportionally, then some Welsh and English... which accounts for ~85% of my makeup. And some trademark characterstics of the particular Scottish clan are definitely present in me... I have a strong interest in Welsh and Scottish myth and culture.

Ben Nibbles went and snagged some sweets from Om-nomia's Conqvist's pantry while waiting for Morbid Fuzzy Footwear.

First, apologies all and I beg patience as my post will not be ready until tomorrow.

My last few weeks have been rough.

My brother was diagnosed with prostate cancer and more tests reveal there is a strong chance of it being in his bladder as well. This has been rough on all of us and we live 8 hours apart so that doesn't help.

Work has been rough with managers leaving, sending members to the hospital by ambulance and members getting into fights and the police being called (I work at the YMCA)

Add to that I am teaching with the public school still and helping another school with their 100 year anniversary and it all means I have very little time at the moment to think about myself or my hobbies.

I am 3/4 done and will have time tomorrow to finish up. If you could please spare a tiny bit more patience I promise not to hold us up any longer.

@GourmetItaliaScotland is quite a nice place to visit, I mean it's really varied so I'd recommend it as a holiday destination tbh. I've holidayed around Scotland too even though I live here. Just... bring rain jackets / umbrellas.

@NevisThat's pretty interesting, a lot of British genes in there. Scottish and Irish seems to come together, there's a lot of intermingling there xD (I'm 50% Scottish, 50% Irish myself). Scottish/Irish/Welsh myths are all pretty interesting too :)

@SkullsandSlippersSorry that the last few weeks have been rough, best wishes to you and your family - also good luck with all the work and school things! I definitely don't mind waiting/being patient - actual life is definitely a priority

@SkullsandSlippers - Yeezus ... prayers, thoughts, and blessings to your brother and your family during this difficult time. Responsibilities and events like these will kick you in the rear and when you're a home owner, working two jobs; that certainly makes crunch time more precious. My only living grandma's also needing care these days since she's over 90 years old and it doesn't help with the fact that she needs help taking care of herself. Family is family so we always put them first over everything else 8S

@Nevis - Hey! You don't get to alter chosen nicknames! Be brave and take one for the team ;)

Likewise, I think we should capitalize on our nicknames and write Altaean Children's Nursery Rhymes stories.

@Fernstone – You have just convinced me to visit Scotland in the future, in fact, I think I will bring a few buckets since California's enduring a half decade-long drought. Recommendations on the most beautiful and scenic historical sights are preferred along with the best routes to see Hadrian's Wall if you know anything about those areas XD

It's time for some May madness now that a post is on the way. About halfway done with surprises ahead for our small group. After Finals tomorrow, I should breathe easier knowing that I'm only one Final away from earning my Bachelor's instead of 2. I hope to be also be traveling in the future and exploring the world after academia to influence my writing and to cherish the meaning of cross-country journeying 8).
