I am not moving the CSA down a tier, that is absolutely not happening. Call me when Grant or Lee -- or even McClellan -- couldn't kick your ass.

Could I be at least moved up a tier? I got better stats.

I would like to thank Byrd for the inspiration in the style of my opening post i borrowed his style of using news paper articles and speech excerpts instead of the classic address system although I probably resort to the classic style in following posts as they are simpler to read and get the point across much more quickly i would none the less thank Byrd for the Inspiration also Byrd if you have any advice for me I would welcome it gladly.

Use an order to get R.E. Lee to stay with the US. That bastard Aegon was able to get George Henry Thomas to join the CSA in the last game and nearly got Sherman, even if it made no sense.

No.

To address Nex's concerns, a reformation of the population stat shall indeed occur.

Also, if you are going to be using Outcast's map, you need to change the possession of the Nicobar Islands from the UK to Denmark.

The matter of Holstein and Schleswig is of importance to both Austria and Prussia. I can't back out of it and leave Prussia to carry the entire burden. As the two leading powers in the Confederation, it is both our responsibilities to tackle issues like these.

While the circumstances probably were different then, in the First Schleswig War, Austria did exactly what you claim in your second sentence that you cannot do: let Prussia carry the entire burden.

The circumstances were indeed different. Regardless, I have a reputation to uphold. What will the German Confederation think of Austria if it cannot project power for the benefit of the German states? If I sit back and do nothing, the German states are going to be quick to assume Austria is not fit to lead the Confederation, and much less a united Germany.

Point is: I have a reason to be involved in this.

EDIT: And if we're going to talk about real-life, I should point out that Sweden didn't intervene on behalf of Denmark. They stayed out of the conflict.

You are correct that Sweden never got involved in real life. However, the current king of Sweden did give promises (even if ones that he could not fully fulfill) to Denmark that he would support them.

Edit: And Swedish forces were committed to the first war. They just never saw any action.

Scandinavia versus the German Confederation would be fun to watch.
