Alright, I'm thinking of either doing a High Casual Dark Souls, where the player will be a group of Undead who seek to Link the Ages once more. The journey, the NPCs, where the characters are from, will all be part of the RP, and will Lead to each character either going Hollow (if you want to end it), or sticking with it to become the guardians of the Ages at the end.

The Star Wars idea I had would be in 3600 bby 40 years after the destruction of the Dread Masters. The Empire and Republic are still at it, but after a Bounty Hunter named Braden Halent is hired by an Emperial Agent to kill a Jedi that is carrying a special package that the Empire needs. He soon finds himself in the middle of a battle between the two factions, and the players are soon drawn in as well and may decide a battle that will lead to the destruction of either side.

Which would people prefer to see?

I wouldn't mind a Dark Souls RP, I'm a big fan of them but because of this I can be quite picky when it comes to stuff that happens in the RP that goes against the lore of what we know. Like right now from what we've learned about Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2, there really is no such thing of being a guardian at the end of the game, you merely become the catalyst to a new cycle that starts all over again and again and again. I know not very happy ending and all but that's basically what is going on, with every new monarch/king the cycle restarts, no matter if you rekindle the flame or not, darkness still comes and the undead always appear. Then again there probably is a few centuries of peace before it all falls apart again and a new chosen undead must choose what happens.

So yeah call me interested for the Dark Souls rp if you don't mind a super fan of the series.

Don't worry. I actually wanted to start it because I've been addicted to the game recently. I just beat Artorias and Seath. Now where's Guyra? Lol.

You mean Kalameet? XD
Yeah I've been playing both, mostly Dark Souls 2 with the recent DLC that it has and with the recent release of the Crown of the Ivory King, I have to get through that one now. So far it's the best of the three DLC they have released for that game.

Things are looking up for dark souls. Also, is artoias' sword supposed to be the Dark Slayer?

No. It is simply his greatsword that is wielded with unparalleled skill. Notice that his left arm is broken in the DLC and his movements seem sluggish. He is left handed and in Dark Souls 2, his greatsword comes back and takes damage penalties in the right hand and has special attacks in the left hand. His greatshield that protects Sif actually repels dark and evil.

Hi Ar, -waves-

how much would someone have to know about the lore in order to join?

I plan on playing this game like mad during my whole weekend [since I barely get days off] & have already looked over the bosses & some of the lore. ^^

I plan on not much, just allowing interaction to help flesh it out. You'll probably want to know the different nations. The East, Carim, Balder, Berenike, Astora, Anor Londo, Catarina, Zena, Vinheim, The Great Swamp, and Thorolund. I'm not sure about Dark Souls 2 nations, but yeah. 3 people that's my minimum. I'll put up an OOC later.

Dark Souls 2 nations would be Forossa, Mirrah, Eastern Lands, Lindelt, Jugo, Volgen, Melfia, and Lanafir. But it would depend on the time period since Dark Souls 2 lore suggests that the realm of Drangleic was also once Lordran but because like mentioned earlier about how the curse is a cycle, with each new cycle a new kingdom rises over it. So it's hard to say how the world would of changed from the time of Dark Souls to Dark Souls 2 since there are mentions of other kingdoms that have risen and fallen like Lordran on the spot where Drangleic now stands. My best guess I like to think would be a minimum 10,000 year gap between the time of the two games, giving each cycle 1000 years to go through.

Like I said I like the Souls games. XD
I won't be to bad of a stickler with lore really just if something might not be quite right I might give reference to it but nothing serious really.

I love Dark Souls. Dark Souls 1 was my favorite of the two, but the second one was still fun!

I'm interested, if you are still taking players :D

6 players. Wow. Big crowd for me. Anyways, the story will be that the new age of fire has begun (about 500 years in), and with it, the birth of an old threat. The Dragons have returned after thousands of years, now tainted by the multitude of humanity sprites engulfed during their hidden time. However, the people of the world have also seen undead already begin to appear. Though shunned as a plague, the undead are being welcomed by the various kingdoms as a weapon against the dragons. The evil Dragon King Guyra sits atop an ancient throne, and the human kingdoms have begun believing that a new Age may cause the dragons to die once more. They send many, others choose to go themselves, and the world begins to crumble from the terror of the dragons and the humans own lust for power.

Kingdoms:
Terrace- the largest settlement of humans, boasting a large military power and many faithful knights. The first to fight the Dragons in this age, and the first to send their undead champions. The architecture is a gothic style set like an old British kingdom.

Ural- a northern kingdom that breeds many hearty people who prefer the cold. The development of Cryomancy has begun there, and has thrived in the harsh environment.

Vale- a north eastern kingdom that has spell swordsmen, most knowing their way around a catalyst as much as a sword.

Great Swamp of Lorelei- a swamp kingdom that practices pyromancy as a religion, living and being one with nature. Just south of Terrace. Looked down on by most.

Occula- a great kingdom that is highly religious, with clerics and Paladins as the heroes of their realm. They practice Electromancy and miracles to be closer to their gods.

Biren- a large kingdom with a strong yet small military force. There soldiers dressed in the strongest of armor and weapons. They built a huge fortress like prison as well to guard people from any criminals and insane undead.

Carnan- a desert kingdom that worships heratic gods. Believers think themselves to be entitled to any loot they find, and loved by the gods and goddesses.

Astral- an isolated mountain kingdom that is made of crystal, there building and way of life preserved by the precious gems they mine.

The East- an unexplored land with untapped nature. The people their are odd and carry slashing weapons.

Arnor- a kingdom covered in fog that deals with monsters and demons pouring into it endlessly. They live in constant fear, though some seek the way of the necromancer and rule the demons, or protect those they think precious.

Got a question, since I like to toy with the concept, could a player perhaps make an outcast demon or artificial being created for or grown up to be a helper to the human kingdoms?

Demon I'm actually okay with, as long as you are humanoid size and stature. You would have basic resistances but not the usual armor and such. As for artificial being, I was going to touch on that if we get to a sequel. But alas no on that one. However, you could be, say, a sentinel, but you would have to deal with the disability of being huge and heavy.

Also, now that I'm off work, I can post the CS

Name: Altheia

Age: 500 (Doesnt keep track)

Gender: Female

Nationality: Arnor

Appearance: Altheia stands above most humans, though not by too much. She stands at a staggering 7'0" and sports a lithe frame muscled by practical, lean muscles formed from constant combat. Her back sports a scar running from her right shoulder down to her left side and her collarbone sports a similar scar running from her left shoulder down to just above her left breast. Her features are a good mix of curves and sharp angles, granting her a very exotic beauty that hearkens to a nearly predatory air. Her hair is worn very long, reaching down to her waist in its loose braid. Her skin tone is pale, almost ashen, and sports a slight blue cast. Her hair is almost pure white save for a very slight blue tint. Her hair is about four shades darker than her skin. Her eyes strike people quickly. They are solid orbs of sapphire and lack a pupil. When in her armor, the only parts not covered by lamellar plating is her joints. Her gauntlets have slightly extended plates to allow coverage of her elbow when her arm is straight and her shin plates do the same for her knees. Her entire body is covered in chainmail over padded cloth under the lamellar. Her hair hangs freely from the back of the helm. Her mouth holds what seem to be average teeth at first until one notices that her canines are long than normal and the incisors on each side of her canines also ends in a sharp point and extend slightly beyond that of her other incisors. When not in her armor, she normally goes barefoot and wears a long, practical dress that brushes her ankles as she walks. The dress sports an interesting aspect. Very fine steel chainmail is sewn between the two cloth layers, thus giving her very minimal protection in case of ambush.

Equipment: Healing plants (common plants equivalent to Estus), 2 falcatas, 1 schiavona, padded cloth armor covered with steel chainmail followed by full-body steel lamellar, two specially made gauntlets for parrying, steel corinthian helmet (less than inch space between cheek plates, nose guard extends into space, forming a nearly full face helm), Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring, two daggers in boots (Mostly used for utility and eating)

Backstory: Altheia grew up among demons. She had to fight to survive, had to kill to eat, and had to prove her worth at all times. Early in her life, about 150 years after birth, she got into a fight with a demon. His ally decided to attack her from behind. The demon attacked from the front. Both connected and drew blood. She retaliated and killed both, but the scars were permanent and became the only blemishes to her otherwise perfect skin. At the age of 160, she was summoned into the world, in the kingdom of Arnor. She was confused at first and lost. Her humanoid appearance and general lack of bloodthirst allowed her to pass inspection on more than one occasion. As she wandered the kingdom, getting her bearings, she began to take a liking to human society. They didn't kill for everything and they did not war for the sake of it. She grew comfortable and made her home in the capital city. As the decades passed, she developed a circle of friends and contacts and even publicly revealed her demonic nature. Old, now dead, friends crafted her weapons and armor and she meticulously maintains them to this day, careful to keep them always battle ready. As the curse began to arrive once more and once she heard dragons reappeared, some necromancers thought it would be wise to attempt to take control of her. Their attempt would have been successful on most demons, but Altheia found out she was not like most demons. She held a much calmer demeanor and also held a far, far greater willpower. She had a necromancer friend who tested the limits of her willpower. He found her immune to all necromancy meant to control demons. Why, they couldn't tell, but it was a great boon for a woman content to defend her friends and offer to defend the kingdom when Undead champions were called upon. She decided to join the ranks of the Undead to assist in their destruction of the dragons.

Covenant: None. Likely will not join one but is also restricted to "neutral" covenents
