Name: Kimberly Black
Age: 17
Deck Type: Worm
Spirit Partner: Worm Falco
Ace Card: Worm Zero
Frequent Cards: Burst Rebirth, W Nebula Meteorite, Book of Eclipse
Personality: Kim is the sort of person who things just don't seem to go right for. However, no matter misfortune befalls her, Kim seems driven to push onward with fragile optimism and half-assed confidence. One could liken her to the kind of person who will give others a pick-me-up despite being the one who needs picking up, or who will say optimistic things when she doesn't mean them. However, despite her lackluster cheerfulness, there's one thing nobody can deny. Kim is a frickin' genius.
It may not prove in that she's far from the best duelist, but Kim can learn at unbelievable speeds. She also has a photographic memory, and never forgets anything. Some could say her staggering mental strength more than compensates for her flaws, but she's very modest about her gigantic gray matter, and would deny any claims about her intellect the moment they're put out. Due to her mental capacity, though, she's always trying to learn something new. It's becoming more and more of a challenge by the day, since one can only learn so much at a Duel Academy.
Bio: It's been rumored that the Black family is cursed. Nobody in the family has ever lived past thirty before some tragic accident kills them dead or they vanish under mysterious circumstances, never to be seen again. As one could imagine, this keeps the family rather strapped for members, and by this standard, Kim's already lived for more than half her expected lifespan. Barring her 21-year-old cousin, Kim is the second-oldest member of the Black family alive today. From the moment the girl could duel, she was accompanied by a spiritual visage of Worm Falco. But even with a Spirit Partner, she was no match for her father in a game.
Her father was actually a famed Duelist; an international hotshot while he was alive. Not long before turning thirty, at the World Championship finals, the man had his final duel. It was like nothing anyone had seen, both in terms of intensity and outcome. Neither player could hold the upper hand, but in the end, Mr. Black lost. He died on the spot, supposedly from cardiac arrest. And Kim would have believed that, until she heard that similar cases had happened before. Somebody loses a duel, they die right afterwards? More curious was that they were almost all perfectly healthy people?
Kim got suspicious, and started doing research. She had no concern for this Spirit World Collision (but did observe that the rate of duel-related deaths has almost doubled in the last six years). She had no care that Falco could be seen, heard, and touched by others. These deaths were way too curious to just be heart attacks. She's yet to pinpoint a common link other than card games, but she's been determined. It's the only thing her confidence hasn't faltered with.

Anything we missed: Student Council President. She got the spot because nobody else wanted it at the time, and nobody's bothered trying to replace her. It also lets her snoop through school records, which of course, she uses to investigate these mysterious duel-related deaths.
