"There are hundreds of stories. I watch them as closely as I can but I have seen nothing to indicate what will disappear next or when it will disappear."

"Ah...that's frustrating. If it were just a change in fate, I'd rather just see where it goes and see if we can make it work, but it seems that's no longer an option if people are missing. Heck, it could be one of us next, I expect." Pushing some of the long hair further away from her face, Karin scratched the back of her head in thought. "Although...maybe we'd actually get some clues from that...as terrible as that may be..." She muttered to herself for a moment before letting out a sigh.

Belle shook her head. "Not that I am aware of. Most books have many copies but this is a special book. It holds the stories of all the fairy tales in the world. If there is another copy I can't imagine who would have it."

"Hmm..." The fact that they had so little to work with only continued to frustrate Karin more and more. Usually, problems like this would have some sort of lead, an eyewitness account with a tiny spark of information to give them a direction to start in or a scrap of evidence that could be identified as having belonged to a traveler from a few days ago. But this was both random and widespread, with not even a hint of a possible reason behind it. "Well, has there really been no other time this has happened before? Is there really nobody who knows anything about how this could be happening? Maybe there is a clue that we overlooked..."
