For instance, Changelings are more susceptibal to survivable Radiation mutation, more commonly reffered to as 'Evolution'. The General consensus is that their Natural shape shifting talent renders them more capable of quickly adapting to survive the wasteland... Including the adaptation of feeding methods to survive off of emotions that are much more 'common' to the wasteland... which unfortunately has the added side-effect of making a lot of changelings wild and aggressive from being 'full of hate and pain', literally. That obviously doesn't mean they're all crazy monsters now, but, enough to be troublesome.
Another big addition, Unique Earth pony Casting on the same level as unicorns, it has more 'power' in a way but far less apparent Versatility, and though it's not restricted to Earth ponies and 'can' be learned by other races, It is easiest for Earth ponies due to their deeper 'connection to the earth'. Crystal Ponies also have an advantage with it, and 'Crystal Earth ponies' more so.
It is important to note however, that the advent of Earth pony magic originated in the Crystal empire before the war, and thus it is on par with the rarity of 'dark magic' as well. [I'll admit, I was 'inspired by awesome' to include this, being that it's so rare, I'll go into more detail about it during instances it may surface IC. If you happen to want to use it, whatever you're race is, PM me and I see if we can work something out, but it'll require some form of 'lost knowledge' or 'lucky revelation' to uncover it... just a note, 'lucky revelation' is probably only going to work with earth ponies or crystal ponies XD and then it will mainly pertain to their 'specialty' instead of actual spell casting]
The 'Magic of Insight', a totally different things and more rare as well, it's more of a modifier for magic than magic itself, among other things, allowing one to 'see magic' and that which is in all kinds of different creatures and environments, and granting 'insight' that can help change the way their own magic functions... Of course, being that it pretty much translates to 'life detection', It'll have to be a highly restricted thing and probably never even show up at all until way later in the RP!... I just felt like mentioning it because I felt inspired to use it somehow. Of course, nothing says lesser versions of levels of it that are strictly regulated can't be used! with good reason.
Inspired by Project horizons, Thestrals, and night ponies, have certain related abilities, such as the Thestral's Echolocation, Sonic Screech, and Certain 'special abilities', like the one shown to be able to 'Shadow jump' short distances... If you use one, you can come up with things all you want, but they will be judged on a case to case basis to determine if it's OP or not.
Of course it's important to note that to the more 'common ponies', Night ponies and thestrals tend to look a bit 'monstery', and this is likely to cause an excess of issues in the long run =3 but, you know how Fo:E goes =3 Extra Issues are just extra excitement!

There's also possibilities of convincing unique backgrounds, like being born on the ground still.
RARE! Races on the other hand have to be properly restricted, you'll have to wow me, or the group as a whole, with your CS if you intend to use one, given that some are either extremely rare, or risky to use, or may require very specific background traits [such as connections to special projects or factions] to explain how they came to be that racial denomination.
