[IC] Dusk: The Return of Caligo Nox

Cassandra held out her hand, "well, okay"she said, "I won't say no" she shifted, "what is giing on? Wait, you just said you'd tell us at your place, that sokay. I guess I can wait" she smiled, "so, Zac, what are you doing out here to attract so many hybrids?"

She blinked when he drapped her arm around him. "Oh wow, um, okay, sure"

[Demous]

As they headed towards the barrier Say'ri kept her distance from the wolf's with a strained look on her face, "My name is Say'ri it is nice to meet you all," she nods stiffly in their direction, "I already have a vague idea of what is happening but I would like some more details," biting her lip as the smell of blood sets off her instincts for blood, "I'm not sure if I should ask for some or just tough it out..."

Cassandra looked over at Say'ri, "thats an odd name" Sometimes, Dassandra didn't think before she spoke, and things like that came out. "Uh, I mean...sorry" she bit her lip, "lets start again, shall we? Nice to meat ylu too"

She smiled, "vampire, right? Been a while since I've met a vampire. Oh. Oh. Sorry about all the blood..." she looked down at her injured leg. "Thats lways intrigued me. Do you see blood and crave it, or do you just have tocrave it to go looking for it?"

inquisative by nature, Cassandra's brothers always said she was the curious cat. She just couldn't help it. She liked to know things.

[Absolute Grace]

Taking fist Zac’s hand and then Cassie’s, Chrystella gave them both an Entry Rune, one which would provide them with 10 entries across the barrier. Looking back at Zac she shook her head, no. “You won’t find any town, village or dwelling, other than mine, for a fair few miles in any direction. Not many people, if any, like to be near the barrier. The degradation many faced from the humans has not being forgotten. It’s rare to find anyone in these parts.” She explained and followed along as they walked towards the barrier.

Everyone in their small group had introduced themselves in the short time of their meeting and began a discussion, however Chrystella stayed quiet, never much of a talker. But she was also not really in the mood, considering what happened only a mere hour ago. She moved to the front of the small group, “I’ll lead the way,” she said, but didn’t look at them. She didn’t want them asking what was wrong.

Chuckling, Zac says, "Oh, I'm not doing anything. I left my home a few months ago and they've been after me ever since. I guess they're just constantly looking for trouble." Hearing her surprise by his action, he chuckles once more and says, "Sorry if you're uncomfortable. I just wanna be helpful." Turning to Say'ri, Zac then says, "Yeah, sorry I got hurt, too." Following Chrystella, Zac can't help but pick up on her bad mood just from the way she was walking. Opening his mouth, he almost asks what was wrong, but stops himself, thinking, Probably not a good idea. We all just met, after all. I don't think she'd wanna go spilling her guts to us all. If she wants to tell us, she will when she's ready.

"No no...not uncomfortable. Jjst not use to anyone besides my brothers, and father looking out for me" Cassandra said, as they passed through the barrier. "I've kinda had them watching my back forever. I thought it would be good to be out without them, and this happens" she laughed though, "they say curiosity is what will kill me"

[Daxam]

Zac nods understandingly, then chuckles. "Honestly, I don't think being curious is such a bad thing," he says, grinning. "If it weren't for curiosity, I probably wouldn't even be here. After I left my hometown, I caught a scent on the air. I decided to find out what it was and it lead me here. Some people say that I take following my nose to a whole new level." Looking at her, he then asks, "How's your leg?"

Cassandra smiled, nodding as he talkes, "oh. I don't think its too bad. The creature managed to grab me, but I got away. Reckon it was a changed gome wild and crazy. Wasn't expectinf to be attack then bam, there it was"

[Demous]

Say'ri smiled at Cassandra, "Yes it is but old would describe it better. As for the blood it's my own fault," she shakes her head, "I had several opportunities on the way back to Dusk but didn't take them."

Sheathing her sword she sighs before continuing, "For some just the sight of blood will set them off, however for most it is the smell that really sets the craving off. Generally though it isn't an issue as we drink regularly. Under normal circumstances the need for blood will feel kind of like your thirsty just more..." She struggles to find the right word, "Demanding."

"Huh. Okay. Thanks, one of my many curiosities is now sated. Thank you." Cassandra said with a smile, "I felt rude asking vampire's, but figured since we just fought together it was okay to ask it"

It was all very interesting, Cassandra thought. Then said, "but why do you crave blood?"

[Demous]

"I don't really know myself. I don't mingle or talk with other vampires very often and that has never come up in conversation with any of the ones I have talked too," looking over at the pair of wolves carefully avoiding looking at the wounds she smiles, "As a matter of fact I don't mingle with anyone very often so I don't know a lot about any creature. I sort of spend a lot of time by myself and train myself to fight."

[Daxam]

Zac couldn't help but smile as the werewolf and vampire, Cassandra and Say'ri, talk between themselves. It was always nice to see people acting decent between one another after fighting hybrids for so long. Hearing Say'ri mention that she spent a lot of time by herself, he grins at her and says, "Well, now you won't have to do that." Reaching out with one hand, he offers it to her for a handshake and says, "The three of us--" he looks ahead at Chrystella "--I mean, four of us, are friends now, right?"

"I dont think you can not not be friends Fer fighting together" Cassandra said cheerful, "I like know things say'ri, maybe one day I'll figure out just why you guys like to suck blood"

[Absolute Grace]

Friends? That was something new. Chrystella couldn’t remember if she had ever really had a friend before. It sounded nice, but was it worth it if you’d only end up watching them age and pass on? I Found it… I-it exists and… and the answer is there. Chryston’s words filtered through her thoughts. His dying wish was seeing her happy and with the knowledge that her cursed immortal rune could be removed, maybe finally she could allow herself to be.

“Friends… sounds perfect.” Chrystella finally said and slowed her demanding pace so that she could be closer to the three following her. She still wasn’t exactly in the talking mood, but showing interest would seem a lot friendlier than stalking ahead and brooding. “ Nearly there, just a little further now.” She pointed through the tree tops and to the roof of her tower that could be seen through the gaps.

Say'ri laughs, "You missed the mark a little bit there Zac but thanks," she puts her hands in her pockets, "I've lived alone by choice. It avoids unnecessary harm to others. In my life I've made many nasty enemies who wish nothing more than my death," looking at Zac, "Nothing personal I just wanna get the two of you patched up before I get much closer. Even after 400 years of practice I can still lose control."

"Even the strongest of any species will be weak at one time or another" cassandra said to Say'ri

Cassandra was pleased at this news. Generally around other wolves, and ues, vampires, sje tried not to appear weak, but she was exhausted, and now her leg was starting to hurt. She was also hungry. For so, e reason, shifting made her hungry. Her brothers had always been hungry, no matter what, even when they were littoe kids. So she couldn't say if she was just normally hungry, or the shifting brought it on. Strange.

Chrystella seemed distracted. What was she thinking about? Seemed serious, amd somewhat depressing if her expression was anything to go on. Not that Cassandra could see it very welo, but still.

So cassandra smiled, amd said, "do you have food? I'll probably eat you out of house and home...I'm starved" she aid it brightly, trying to be cheerful. She always liked to make people feel happy, amd at ease.

[Daxam]

As they follow Chrystella, who was now walking closer to the three of them, Zac looks down at his hand, then sheepishly rubs the back of his head. "Oh, sorry about that. I kinda forgot," he says with a nervous chuckle. He then looks at Cassandra and Say'ri, asking, "So, I noticed you two came from inside the barrier. Do all three of you live here or something?"

"Ah, no actually" Cassandra said, "I was outside the barrier, but then that creature chased me, and I made my way in here. Then I saw you in deep trouble, ran for Chrystella, ad you know the rest. Im actualpy a few days from home. I guess I was being foolish. I wanted to prove I couod survive without my brothers watchful eyes"

[Demous]

"Generally yes but I travel a lot so I have a second home outside the barrier," Say'ri turns to look at the two werewolves, "I have my main house in here so that most of those who are looking for me can't find me."

Cassandra was exhausted, and didnt know how she would travel the rest of the distance, "can we hurry, please? Im hungry and tired" her leg was starting to hurt more and she k ew she needed to look at it.
