Well, we got two now vacant planes.

Reading through the OOC a bit has this had a recent die off? It jumped from 4 days to 23 hours so there have been large patches of inactivity and I don't want to waste my time designing an entire plane of existence if this will never properly get off the ground, which I hope it does.

Of the two Planes available (Pit of Sorrows/Nightmare Steppes) I would like the steppes, if a human side isn't available.

The RP is still active! Most people are writing massive collaborative posts however, which means slower posting as people work out scheduling conflicts.

Mother Night and I are working on one such collab currently that I'd really like to see up by the end of the day today.

Terminal is indeed correct in this case. With RPs such as this there is often a massive surge in OOC posts during the planning phase, but apparent activity seems to drop when writing posts comes around. While we aren't super active on the forums, the chatroom linked in the OP is pretty much always super active; it's just a bit more convenient for us to share ideas and such. I'm still here and watching, as are most (if not all) the players who are still in the RP. I wouldn't worry about activity. Give us something to talk about ;)

Asar is a very powerful shape-shifting Demon

- Appearance -
Asar's preferred appearance is very humanoid in an attempt to lessen the focus on his physical form and more on the words he speaks. He typically chooses to appear physically frailer than he actually is, taking on wasted, cadaverous forms and seeming to need staffs to hold himself up and walk around; this is one of his trademark deceptions, as Asar possess iron-hard skin and blindingly fast reflexes. He can also change his form very easily and swiftly, into almost anything, however he finds it difficult when not on his plain and especially when he attempts to shape-shift into something much bigger.


- Personality and Drive -
Ruling over the unfathomable beasts and impossible xenomorphs that crawl and scrape their way across the forever changing terrain of the steppes, Asar has one goal. Knowledge. He seeks it out in all it's forms, the more complex, the more obscure it is the more he relishes it's consumption. Residing on the plain of madness Asar has discovered all but one mystery set before him, the being that created his plain, and he does call it his plain. The power to create existence, an entire dimension. It is beyond Asars grasp, it is not the lure of power that fuels his quest, but the torture of hidden knowledge that is seemingly unreachable and unfathomable without the key, the being that began it all.

Asar himself is a labyrinth. Untold secrets and grand designs are his forte. Schizophrenic in appearance he often seems mad, insane almost as he rambles and mumbles to himself. His orders and decisions at first seem nonsensical yet he always seems to end with others at his mercy. An unequivocal master of planning and deception Asar is one of the most feared opponents any are likely to meet. When people confront Asar they say he is always one step ahead, that simply isn't true. Unbeknownst to them, they are not the opponent, they are pieces, on a much larger board.

- History -
Asar remembers vividly the day that he ascended to his throne. Once a librarian, devoted to one of the many human tribes, he was tasked with defending the city like all other able bodied men. Horrific battles solidified his belief that he was a man of battle, but on one fateful day, when the faithful human army had routed the hellish beings from beyond, they gave chase. Asar sliced at the back of one such abomination, to his utter dismay his sword was caught in the tar like skin of his adversary. It was at this moment that the beast climbed its way back into the realm from whence it came. Asar was dragged into the nightmare steppes, a myriad of illogicality and confusion the land was moving, mountains dotted the sky and the colours, they were not natural.
Asar was confronted by what he could only assume was the leader of the demonic forces. An almost human face gave him little peace as its centipede like body, horribly deformed, curled around him in an instant.
Asar was sure of his fate, his life was about to end and all he could do was hope it came to an abrupt end rather than a slow and painful one. To his surprise however, this otherworldly creature did not end him but released him. Quite to his surprise, Asar was given a choice, a chance. He was to be anointed, to become a demon himself and prove that he was worthy of the steppes.
