While i'm glad this still has some life in it, I think i'm going to need some help quantifying the weapons capability of my vessel. Also, how is this role play going to work? I mean, is it just a number cruncher, where the winner is already decided?

Paid for them on the Cryptic Store.I assume you mean in continuity. Well, STO follows the events of Star Trek in the year 2409, 30 years after the events of Nemesis and 22 after the Hobus Incident (Where Spock tried and failed to save Romulus. And then was sucked into a shitty movie series.) With Romulus Destroyed and Praetor (Emperoress) Denatra killed, the Romulan Empire fell into infighting, with everybody that had some semblance of power trying to set themselves up as the new Praetor. Most of them were either ignored or assassinated. Then the Klingons decided to take back the territories that they had lost during their war with the Romulans and, once again, the Khitomer Accords (Federation-Klingon Peace Treaty) broke down as the Federation took a stance against the Klingons slaughtering defenseless civilians. Eventually, using her newly acquired Herojin Allies, Sela took control of the Tal-Shiar and used her military strength to rally the rest of the disconnected Romulan states into a new Romulan Empire, where the Tal-Shiar had full control... Needless to say, an empire being ruled by a shady, secret , military bureau wasn't exactly the nicest place to live. Sela poured the entire wealth of the empire into rebuilding their fleets and managed to push the Klingons out of their territory. So, now Sela had unquestionable control of the Romulan Empire and they were flat broke... So, she did what all great dictators do and got her boot-boys to plundering the people. Everybody in the Empire lived in fear of the Tal-Shiar, either pay them everything you own, or they kill you. Finally, the inevitable rebellion happened. The Romulan people, lead by the remnants of the Reunification movement (Romulans and Vulcans used to be one species, the Reunification movement wanted to bring the two races together again) Thanks to from both the Federation and Klingons (In return for access to some of the Romulans Technologies), and with the Remans joining them, the Rebels managed to amass enough forces to splinter off and create their own Republic. The Republic is now in a prime location for expansion, the Klingons are protecting their boarders as part of their treaty, and the Federation are granting them ships in return for assistance during operations by Starfleet. As far as where the Delta Flyers come from, I think that the canonical answer is that they are standard issue for any ship that is a member of Battlegroup Omega (A joint Federation, Klingon and Romulan taskforce built to deal with Borg incursions into the Alpha Quadrant.)Voyager returned home in 2378, this ship is from 2409, 31 years later.

It's not sad, it's quite epic, people who know lore are often the most interesting to roleplay with

I'm really sorry guys. My holidays have started and I expected to have a reasonable amount of free time.....NOPE! Got dragged into a home reno at my parents and they appear to dislike me using the computer (don't even ask, it's weird). So I'll try to throw it up, but if I can't this week, I'll be asking Veritisu to do for me and he'll take over the frp.I am seriously sorry about this guys, I actually thought I would be able to relax and enjoy my time off uni and get something going. If I don't get to run/join this frp, I hope you guys enjoy the experience. :D

If I'm taking over, I will need a couple of things from anyone participating. The first will be a ship spec set this includes but is not limited to, armaments, defences, crew size, support craft and fighters, any special weapons or equipment. if you have weapons that have a limited number of ammunition (such as missiles, non energy based cannons and torpedos among others) I will need an ammo count for that as well (point defence weapons need not apply but anything with a chance to damage another ship needs to be accounted for). This helps me to balance every ones ships pre game and helps to keep it fair. if your ship has special equipment, please link me to a video or some description of the device in action. I am not a knowledge base of all lores and thus I will have to do my research to balance the ships. also please include a rough guess of how much damage you feel each of your weapons can do in ONE shot, if you have 52 guns I need to know how much one of you guns does, we multiply the damage from there.Try not to Meta. It really destroys the fun if one person is consistently winning because they know every weakness through meta. To learn weaknesses you'll have to get close to another ship and scan it for weaknesses and perform a tactical analysis. this way all knowledge of a ship is kept to characters unless they wish to share said knowledge. Please note that I will be handing out warnings for blatant meta, with harsher penalties for repeat offenders. I don't mean to take away from the freedom, but the meta can kill an FRP.As GM I will sometimes do things within universe. Sometimes you may not agree. If you feel this way please PM me and we can discus this, though the final decisions will be down to hamoflague and myself. If I can get those ship specs as soon as possible, the sooner we can get this show on the road. Thanks

There is a little bit of a plot to this, but I won't give any spoilers. Also I think Veritisu forgot to ask for weapon damage types (e.g. machine guns would be kinetic damage [cause pf slug], rail guns would be kinetic and EMP/Thermal [One of the two depending on the type of railgun used as some shoot and create heat while others leave an electronic charge], Missiles would also be explosive and either EMP/Thermal/Kinetic depending on the type of missile) and what you believe your shield type is based of the ships origin universe [e.g. Star Wars ships would be resistant to Thermal Weapons more than any other type of weapon because they fought with particle cannons (lasers don't cause explosions on impact].I'm still working on the opening post so at least I can show you guys I actually did care and I'm sad that I probably won't be able to join you. But stuff happens so you gotta just go with it.
