I find diamonds way more ridiculous. That's only a cultural thing because De Beers advertised that shit strongly back in the 20s and everyone ran with it.

Several weeks of pay cheque for a rock is insanity. I'd rather put that money towards a badass honeymoon or, you know, a sizable down payment on a house.

I bought my lovely dress on consignment, for like $200 and it hardly needed alteration. My husband's handmade tailored suit cost way more but at least he can wear it more than once.
