Well, the important thing for me is that while both fighters are insufficiently durable to withstand an impact, it's worth noting that Herriman is the more durable one.

That wasn't for you. That was for Asta. I kind of mashed both your comments into one response.

I mean I went into the attack expecting Mifune to fuck his hand up, but its still going to hit a vital area of Herriman especially at that speed.

Edit: Also since Mifune is throwing a spear hand wouldn't the actual point of impact aka his hand be going more than subsonic considering. He isn't just lunging with his hand out he is literally lunging and throwing a spear hand at Herriman's throat.

While I know this character most likely won't be accepted by this group, I am submitting it anyway. You never know.

Real Name: N’athr Xelbalbis
Age: Indeterminate, possibly one-hundred-ish
Sex: Appears as a male in most incarnations
Appearance:
Height: 10' 2"
Weight: 2250 lbs.
Eyes: Black-pupiless
Hair: Shimmering silver in a top-knot, extending down to the middle of his massive back.

Unusual Features: N’athr Xelbalbis besides being tall is heavily muscled, has deep indigo skin with white and silver tribal band style tattoos covering his body and shimmering silver hair. He has half-dozen 6-inch ‘arms’ and two 8-inch ‘tentacles’ that hang before his beak-like maw. N’athr Xebalbis communicates through telepathy, although most people assume he is speaking to them.

Powers/Skills/Weaponry:

Being the champion of Simargl, the Primordial one, N’athr Xelbalbis has been granted the physical aspects of his God.

1-God-like strength- N’athar in an Earth gravity can deadlift 100,000 kg (100 tons).
This strength allows him some unique combat moves:

A) He has been known to crush a body or punch through a body with comparative ease. In order to do so he must take a moment to focus his energy into the strike or blow. While his punches normally can kill a human with ease, champions of other deities require him to focus in order to break through their otherwise hardened skins or armors.

B) He can create by stomping his foot or smashing his fists into the ground a powerful shockwave that radiates away from him like an earthquake tremor. The radius he can affect is roughly a half-mile (2640 feet) before it dissipates. It is powerful enough to knock down anyone unprepared, shake buildings and damage the very ground he hits.

C) Because N’athr is so muscular and his leg muscles are so developed he can leap enormous distances. With his strength in Earth’s gravity he can leap 10 miles horizontally and roughly 5 miles vertically.

D) He can create a thunderclap by slapping his hands together, ripping the air creating a sonic boom and with enough force that normal humans can have their ear drums shattered and windows break with ease in a 100 yard radius.

2-Inhuman Dexterity- N’athr is not the fastest hand to hand to combatant, having been bested by others who rely on speed. But his hand-eye coordination is sufficient enough that he can deflect bullets from mundane sources.

3-God-like Stamina- N’athr can resist fatigue building poisons in his body at a much greater rate than any human athlete, allowing his body to reduce the time his tired and sore muscles inhibit him nearly seven times as fast.

A) He is virtually immune to any normal disease; however he is susceptible to magically induced illnesses. It requires his body to work harder to fight off the effects, not impossible but it does take time.

B) He is extremely durable, while not immune to damage, he can resist punishing damage that would kill or incapacitate other Godly champions. Any mundane blade will bend against his muscled body and normal bullets bounce off him like pebbles.

C) He is able to regenerate quite quickly, however this regenerative power only kicks in when he is incapacitated or near death. Once it is active his body will begin to repair itself in such rapid fashion that the wounds close before the very eyes of those who inflict them.

4-Being the Champion of the Primordial One grants him one more power, that of a Matter Chameleon. This power allows N’athr’s body to take on the property of any matter or energy he touches and consciously chooses to assume. If he touches rock his body becomes as dense and durable as stone, while retaining flexibility. If he touches gas he becomes intangible. If he touches fire he becomes a living flame, water he can flow through pipes.

While this power has allowed him to defeat opponents in the past, it requires some preparation on his part. He has to focus on the matter/energy and make contact long enough that he can assimilate it.

To be sure this power is usually reserved for the Champions who tend to use elemental weapons and surround themselves in elemental energies. N’athr would rather pound the crap outta his opponent.

Stuff:

N’athr usually appears on a world wearing nothing but heavy leather pants with knee high boots. Around his neck he wears a necklace comprised of bits of bronze, brass, steel, titanium, a carbide tungsten alloy as well as bits of bone, granite, and iron wood. All elements he can focus on and assume as needed.

His one weapon is a bar mace. Little finesse is needed for this brutal mace, and he is strong enough to crush helms and break swords with the heavy blows it delivers. Made from four bars of steel alloy with a wood and leather grip and a large steel pommel to help balance it, this mace measures 36” long and weighs in at 18 lbs.

This mace appears and disappears into a sub-dimensional space when not in use. It is imbued with the power of Simargl and nearly indestructible. However if it is thrown into the heart of a white hole (the opposite of a black hole) it will destroy the mace forever.

Deity:
Real Name: Simargl
Occupation: Primeval God
Other Aliases: The Shadowed Horror, the Enemy of Life, the Hunter of Souls, the Reaper of Fate.
Place of Birth: Presumably at the creation of the multiverse untold billions of years ago.
Marital Status: Single
Known Relatives: None

History: Simargl was born at the moment of creation, in the initial spawning of star dust, light and in the icy womb of space. Simargl wanders the multiverse seeking intelligent life, watching it grow and flourish. However on occasion he will find the species troublesome or frankly boring, and wipe out all life on the planet in an extinction level event and starting over until he is satisfied with them.

He has a single champion- N’athr Xelbalbis who sacrificed himself so that his world might live. Because of this he has been known to allow N’athr to go to those worlds to test the heroes of those worlds to see if they are worth saving. If they are not the world and life are started anew.

Height: 50 meters tall; 164 feet, 4 inches tall. (100 feet of body, 64 feet of tail.)
Weight: 100 short tons; 200,000 lbs.
Eyes: Six- color unknown or slate gray.
Color: Black
Hair: None.

Appearance: An extremely large creature, hunched over with large tattered wings, (350 foot wing span- doesn’t use wings to fly). A long, whip-like tail 64 feet long with a series of wicked bone spike protruding from the tip in four directional angles.) A triangular head with a half-dozen eyes and hundreds of twelve-inch long teeth in his mouth. Simargl has four long arms and two legs all ending in serrated claws 48” long. Smooth gray skin.

Domain: The unrelenting chaotic force of nature.

Skall, that char is totz badass! The only thing i could see that would really bug me, is takin in an element. Since most gods are devoted to an element, or theme their attacks on elements, could that completely negate all but their first strike? I think if you specified that a bit more, it would be cool. I personally have no problem seeing this champion here. I always like the challenge.

I really wish Light would come back and settle this issue of power level. >_<

As it is, each successive champion seems to be escalating. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Light probably wouldn't accept N'athr, based on his initial rejection of Krix. Who had skin as tough as iron and muscles as tough as steel, putting that incarnation below N'athr in physical power. For elemental power, in addition to being impervious to bullets, he can effectively turn to air whenever he wants, and make himself less durable as long as he's standing on dirt (I obviously have no problems with this second ability), as well as become immune to (and presumably copy) the powers of those heroes who specialize in a single element (and depending on the combination, even multiple elements).

All that said, I have no issues with a character that can lift 100 tons. Or a character that can transmute himself into elements he touches. Or a character that can shrug off bullets like they're a handful of tiny rocks. Or a character that can heal from life-threatening injuries in mere moments. Its the fact that a single character can do all of these things that gives me pause.

Then again, I'm not a GM, so all of this is moot unless those who are want to make it not so.

Actually no. Once Mifune goes airborne, any forward momentum generated by a punch is going to have an equal and opposite effect on the momentum of his body as a whole. Since he isn't grounded, adding the motion of a punch (spear-handed or otherwise) wouldn't be able to generate any extra force. The best he could hope for is to try and make the impact point as small as possible, which the spear hand would be good for until he lost enough momentum that he couldn't break through the next object he hits, at which point his hand shatters.

LOL no worries I didn't expect to get approved so it doesn't bother me. However the title champion of gods and limiting the powers, even in your character's case is a bit, underwhelming. A character that can do many things just requires you to actually fight beyond your comfort level, much like those opposing your character in the never ending arena. They died because they did not adapt.

Like I said I am not worried about being accepted or not.

no we died because Arthur greystrokes is two tiers above two of us, and I made the moronic mistake of tackling the werewolf off the edge in an attempt to save him, really I lost that battle for us and got eevie killed which sucks.

Not really an overpowered character; I'd put him on par with Marvel's 'Earth-616' Hercules; Hercules, both in the Marvel universe and in his native mythology in our world, was a demigod. Lifting capacity 100 tons, durable enough to bounce bullets fired from mundane firearms with simplicity, could endure multiple hits from the Hulk, ect.

The OOC reaction to Skall's character makes me assume that the champions are simply on the same playing field (in a figurative sense) as entities like Steve Rogers (Captain America) or some of the X-Men (this is tricky however; Magneto is a borderline demigod IIRC). I don't have the Arena tier chart on hand, but if we go by TV Tropes 'Super Weight' system, I'd put Light's expected champion power level somewhere between super weights 2 and 3.

I might as well not finish Sovereign until Light comes and gives us a ruling on this. He doesn't have access to magic or adequate ranged attacks, but his monotonous combat capabilities and physical abilities make him out to be a highly-destructive lightning bruiser that progressively grows more dangerous the longer a battle drags on.

Two tiers above one of you, actually. Gregor and Evvie were both tier 4.

As for why you lost, it was a combination of Arthur's abilities and a lack of teamwork/adaptation. Evvie had armor that could resist his electricity, was immune to Gregor's attacks, and strong enough to at least temporarily restrain Arthur. Gregor had fire attacks hot enough to hurt him, and Adrian (or gregor, or evvie) could easily have removed all the water from the plateau to limit his electrical abilities. You had the tools you needed to win.

As for the strength of Skall's character, that's not the part I take issue with. I would happily send Krix out to face a demigod that can lift 100 tons and is impervious to modern firearms. It's the fact that this extremely physically potent demigod can also turn intangible at will and become immune to any attack used against him (as well as potentially copy those attacks), AND heal back from any wound you might manage to inflict in mere moments that makes me hesitant to simply remain silent and let the chips fall where they may. If it was just the healing, durability, and strength I would see no issue.

Then again, I'm probably misrepresenting the transmutation ability, simply due to there being so little information to go on.

Light said Rules
Nothing too fancy here, just typical rp rules such as avoiding over-poweredness, being a dickbag, etc.
Website members notdeadyet and Daglobster are Co-Gm's on this rp, so heed their word as well.

I suppose since he has appointed assistants they have final say until he returns. If they like the toon and give you the ok I don't see why you can't be accepted and start mingling with the others.

Champion

Name: Anthony

Age: Looks like late 20's, but has lived for hundreds of years

Sex: Male

Appearance: (I couldn't find a picture.) Humanoid, exactly 6'. Medium build, with blue spikey-ish hair, a black bandana to keep his hair out of his face, tanned skin, and a bare chest and abdomen. Dark brown pants with a black belt similar to the bandana on his head. No shoes.

Powers/Skills/Weaponry: Despite his lack of armor, Anthony is extremely durable. His skin is as tough as iron, and resistant against magic that he casts, and other forms of similar magic. Acid has nearly no effect on him, unless it is an extremely strong kind of acid. Anthony wields an indestructible scythe with around a 1-and-1/2' long handle, And the blade of the scythe comes in after a foot of handle. He can store the scythe in a safe place and summon it to his hands at will at any time. He also has a bow and quiver with an infinite number of arrows. This also has the same summoning and storage ability. His scythe and arrows aren't normal, though. They are extremely sharp and the arrows fly close to 200 mph, and both have the ability to charge to different kinds of magic. Once a magic type has been used, it cannot be re-used for a minute. They are as follows:
Fire, creates an inferno once landed, envelops the area nearby completely, and tends to be ~1500-2000 degrees Fahrenheit
Ice, freezes the area nearby for about 15 seconds.
Earth, slows whoever was hit (only works on living creatures) by half for about a minute.
Wind, create (Very powerful) random gusts of wind around the target for half a minute.
Sun, blind whoever was hit for 15 second.
Moon, cause whoever was hit to hallucinate for 30 seconds. The hallucinations distort the reality they see (E.G. they see an object thats right next to them but its really 30 feet away, or vice versa.)
Lightning, summon a lightning bolt around the area where the arrow landed.
Rain, an immense amount of water appears where the arrow landed.

-snip-

I edited slightly and added more detail. Thoughts/concerns?
