Navi
Navi listened to Midna's offhanded explanation rather impatiently. It was exactly as Navi had expected somewhere in the many years since the Twilight had ravaged the land desecrating her people the Twili had decided that the event didn't cast them in a favorable light and had wiped it from there history. Navi could not fathom the arrogance that entailed.
Navi knew full well that her people were not the most humble in the world. The Fairies were old and with age came wisdom but not many people want to hear the wisdom of the ages as dictated by a girl who looked no older than twelve. They felt the fairies attempts to help were condescending and over time as her people were treated more and more this way they adopted it as a characteristic to make people listen. Navi was aware of her races shortcomings but never, not since the world was created would they deny mistakes that had terrible consequences in order to maintain a self image.
Navi let out a slow sigh trying to keep her breathing in check, trying to keep her appearance calm. It was not just the fact that Midna had no knowledge of the Age of Twilight but also the way in which she cast off the informationless explanation as though it solved all of Navi's inquires then tried to get rid of her. Navi was not going anywhere, not just yet.
"No Midna I have much to say before I take my leave but I thank you for explaining just how arrogant, emotionless, and callous your people truly are."
Navi paused for breath letting the seconds draw out as she formed her next sentences with care.
"You have most graciously told me a story from the Perspective of the Twilight Realm, one full of happy endings, sugar coated beyond imaging. Now why don't I tell you a story common to the World of Light. The true version of events, full of blood and fire and betrayal." Navi pushed herself onto the desk she'd been leaning on and crossed her legs bracing herself with her arms. It was a classic position that the travelling players and minstrels took when they were about to enact and epic or sing a ballad. Navi remembered these events like they were yesterday, they were burned into her memory. She'd never forget the havoc and misery the Twilight Realm had brought to the Fairies. It was a painful memory and Navi realized that she didn't think she could speak of it, the horror of what she'd seen.
She decided to take a step back, view it like someone from this century would, not as a disater, a calamity she'd barely survived but like any Hyrulean would, like a legend, like a Fairy Tale.
"Once upon a time there was a race of people, these people were skilled in the art of magic and though they were powerful and impressive they soon grew arrogant, they started to believe themselves better than the gods and even went to far as to attempt to steal the Golden Power from there creators. For this crime they were thrown out of the world they knew into a land of perpetual Twilight.
Time passed, they evolved and formed there own civilizations as did the world they had been bared from. Though they had much in there land of shadows they yearned for that which had been stolen from them or even better to steal it away from those the gods had favored. This was however merely a dream till one day...
A great criminal, the worst of his kind was slated for execution but something went wrong, in some divine fluke this criminal was given a third of the power that belonged only to the gods. In this form his executioners were unable to complete there task and in a moment of desperation cast him into the Shadow Realm.
With the power of the gods among them the prospect of taking revenge on the world of light turned from a dream to a reality. Those that opposed the idea were banished, cursed or killed. A King set in place by the one that wielded the power of the gods was given the power to open a portal between the realms. He did so, his shadow beasts pouring into the land of light.
First they targeted the guardians of the Light World, the Spirits who maintained that Light. Without them the Shadow People were able to spread the darkness of there land far over the world."
Navi let out a shaky breath, she was trembling now. She'd not talked about this to anyone in a very long time. The next breath she took in sounded very much like a sob but she'd steadied her body. Navi was standing strong.
"The beings of light shared much diversity, Humans, Gorons, Zoras, Gerudo and... Fairies." Navi closed her eyes on the word. She took in two deep breaths before beginning to speak again. "To the denizens of the World of Light the loss of the light of there land caused them to waste away to spirits but the Light World was home to more than just those born there. The Fairies..."
Navi couldn't keep it up anymore the protective barrier that had arisen from referring to the genocide like it was story broke suddenly leaving Navi with no shield against the oncoming waves of emotion, anger, rage, saddness, terror all bunched up into one.
"My people, we are not from this world. The Twilight did no lasting damage to the people of this world but my people," Navi's rage was building. She jumped off the desk advancing on Midna. "we are not of this realm. Do you have any idea what Twilight does to fairies? On this plane our bodies are energy the Twilight drained every last drop of that energy wherever it went. The Hero came to beat back the Twilight just as he always would, come to save the day but it was too late for my people. Your magic, your bloody, twisted, brutal," Navi said each word like it was a blow. "shadow magic laid hundreds of thousands of us in the dust," As Navi talked she'd dug her nails deeper and deeper into her palm till she felt the white iridescent liquid that was fairy blood start to drip free. Navi held up her wounded hand moving it in a swift static motion that splattered the Twilight Princess with small drops of Navi's lifeblood. She spat the next sentence at Midna with force and disgust. "our blood ran free staining the land in gore that nobody could see, so please just once more tell me this is an untruth, a lie constructed to make you lose standing in your foolish campaign. Tell me that my people suffering and death at your hands is fiction. That the genocide of my people, the death of my friends is an invention. GO ON, TELL ME AGAIN!

Zelda
Zelda remained quiet as Ganondorf greeted her. She felt no inclination to humor his pathetic attempt at conversation. Soon however someone that interested Zelda much more than the King of Evil showed up. The Black Swordsmen, the one who bore the Hero's face. Ganondorf, well Zelda had heard so many legends and myth about him, mostly all the different ways his failed spectacularly that he did not interest her but this Dark Hero on the other hand. She'd heard almost no lore on him. He could be worth a conversation. Zelda waited for Ganondorf to leave before she started to speak. "Can you speak?" Zelda honestly had no idea. In the legends she'd read this was a sort of Dark form of Link created by a force that was rivaled only by the Goddesses intended to do the exact opposite of Link, to see evil rule. Zelda knew he was a skilled warrior but he very well may be beyond that an empty shell like the Iron Knuckles.
