[OOC] Deadpool and the Odd Squad

Welcome one, welcome all, to the greatest team ON EARTH!

The 'Odd Squad', as Deadpool calls it, is a newly assembled, all purpose team meant for handling tasks that would be out of the range for normal heroes or SHIELD agents. The members of the team all have basic SHIELD agent training, but further training and practice is advised to the best results.

Recently, this team has been put into the custody of Wade Wilson, who received the team from Director Fury as a way to 'shut him up', as was put by Director Fury himself. Wilson has yet to meet the team he has been put in charge of, but recent espionage missions have revealed that he is planning to within the week.

Remi works as SHIELD's special ops mobile command center. She's handy with a computer, and peer to peer communications, which her powers allow her to access basically everywhere. She makes for a good hacker, but rarely relies on her radio based powers unless weaponizing them, which is very dangerous and deadly. She is able to use GPS radio signals to track cell phones.

Powers/Abilities:
On her own, Remi has the power of Radio Wave Manipulation. She can access most technology that runs on radio waves mentally, and comes with her own natural decryption key. A special doodad given to her by SHIELD works as a screen for her to do her thing on. All she has to do is mentally engage it and send it. This allows her to send things much further as well as enables hacking into password protected files and wi-fi stations. She can also access cell phones, laptops, computers, and some televisions, but these things take their tolls on her depending on how deep the access runs. Cell phones and communicators are much easier, and quicker.

Aside from that, her combat prowess is centered around her symbiote, Raze. Raze, as the child of Carnage, enjoys many of the same powers as his father:
Enhanced Physical Strength, Shape Shifting abilities (which manifests as everyday clothes), the ability to project webbing-like substances and "weapons", the ability to create weapons from his own body, 360 degree vision, and the ability to cling to any surface, rapid regeneration, can influence those he ans Remi touch while attached, and renders his host immune to Earthly diseases. Raze's own powers have evolved around his host's and acts as an amplifying antenna. Helps keep the adverse effects of his host's powers from manifesting while also empowering them to high degrees. Remi is able to safely weaponize the radio waves she emits, but due to the effects it has on the human body, SHIELD has restricted how much she can actually weaponize. Currently, clearance is given only to the point of loss of balance and coordination of an enemy target.

Personality:
Remi is a pretty arrogant young woman, though not exactly self-centered. She feels justified in her arrogance though, since she always tries her hardest on her missions. She knows she is good, and she wants to be sure you know it. She is pretty mouthy though, and has problems following orders if she views her superior as being incompetent. She is generally good natured, and cares for Raze deeply. She sees them as one being, and won't tolerate anyone verbally dissing him. Despite being one of the more...integrated symbiotes, she and Raze do have episodes of aggressive destruction. These episodes are usually kept in private, but if a battle goes on too long, she begins to regress. She has a deep self-loathing for what she is, and despite her being good with them, she hates her powers with a passion. She will only use them if ordered to. She disappears every now and then to attend her counseling sessions, for free with the SHIELD health plan of course, with Dr. Shane. She is a huge fan of Daft Punk.

Biography:
Remi was born to a nice couple through a donation. Her mothers showered her with love and spoiled her rotten, even as a baby. While being middle class, her parents did everything they could for her, from her Mama helping her with homework to her Mum letting her "assist" with dinner. Her nights were often filled with laughter and "I love yous".

It was all taken from her within a month. Toward the beginning of her seventh grade year, her "Mama" was killed in the line of duty. She'd been chasing a mutant thief when the man turned his powers of pyromancy on her. There was barely enough to identify the woman. She grew to hate mutants for taking away her Mama, only for her own powers to show signs of development. This led to a downward spiral as her Mum tried to help her control the massive amounts of radio waves she was emitting uncontrollably. Desperate for help, the woman turned to their neighbor whom was gifted. He suggested a school for the gifted that could help her control her powers. Together, along with a caged in Remi, made their way to the school for help.

Remi later attended Xavier's School for the Gifted between the ages of 12 to 16. In the summer of her 16th birthday though, her Mum died of cancer, an unfortunate diagnosis from the long time exposure from her daughter's power. Remi would run away from the school, not wanting anything more to do with mutants nor herself. Months later, she found herself alone, bleeding and rather hungry following an altercation with a few gang members. They didn't live.

She ducked into a recently demolished building for the night and made plans to leave the next day. She didn't know she'd chosen a destroyed lab that still housed the experiment: a live symbiote. This symbiote, attracted to her bleeding form, attacked her and forced it's way into her body via her wounds. It silenced her screams by forcing it's way into her mouth, where she was still bleeding. She was unfortunate enough to not pass out, and laid awake while feeling this...thing crawl its way beneath her skin.

She spent more time in seclusion, afraid and struggling to comprehend what happened to her. It was the symbiote itself that explained to her what happened and even apologized for the way he went about saving his own life. He found himself calmed by the silence of her mind, as she was still desolate about the fact that she killed her mother with her powers. Sensing her desires and thoughts about her dead parents, Raze's biology morphed so that his host's powers would no longer passively harm those she cared about. The suit he become would later carry the very blue color of her Mama's police uniform.

She was later found by SHIELD, and was questioned about the death of her mother. She insisted that it was an accident and that she meant no harm to the woman. Someone, she was unsure of whom, believed her and ordered her immediate removal from the symbiote to prevent aggression and rage. The two, whom had bonded over those months of seclusion and stolen chocolate bars, reacted very badly. Raze had his host, and Remi finally had the companionship she'd been missing since she was separated from her parents. More than a few agents were put into the hospital from the symbiote's strength and her powers combined, but she was later subdued with sound waves. It took longer to find the correct frequency that nullified her powers enough to have an effect though. The room was trashed, windows broken, and chairs destroyed.

She was imprisoned for nearly a year for the incident, until someone gave her a choice: be tried for the incident or work for SHIELD. She agreed to work for SHIELD, but on the basis that they NEVER attempt to remove her from Raze. The man couldn't promise that, but he did promise that the two could remain together as long as they didn't go on a rampage. She agreed and the shackles were removed. She underwent intense counseling for several months before she was allowed to train to become a SHIELD operative. Eventually, she made it and became a fully fledged member. Now, she has been assigned to the Odd Squad which...what in the hell kind of a name was that?

Name: Ken DeSala (Reaper)

Appearance:
He carries an energy pulse rifle based on hydra designs which can burn hole in the enemy, but the ammo cartridges can only be recharged from and arc reactor, and only carry five rounds each, making it work better as a sniper rifle.

Gender: Male

Skills: As a technology specialist, he was working on the tesseract project designing new versions of hydra weapons. When the project was canceled due to the loss of the tesseract, he was ordered to create a replacement power source. When he was unable to create a suitable one with known energy sources he cheated a bit, copying the arc reactor design from War Machine. When Stark complained, however, they were forced to cease production of the weapons. When he joined Deadpool's team, he brought it and the reactor/charger with him.

Powers/Abilities: Death manipulation: A power he rarely uses because it is difficult to control and erratic. It sends a shadow out from him which pushes the life energy out of anyone that it touches, killing them when enough is in them. He has the ability to turn it off and on at will, and usually keeps it off for safety reasons. His eyes turn black while he's using it, but it doesn't impede his vision.

Personality: A curious man, he loves to learn about advanced technology. His goal is to one day surpass Tony Stark with his inventions.

Biography: His father was a mutant named Switch who teamed up with Magneto in the 80s. Because he had the ability to activate and deactivate other mutant's powers, and shared Magneto's belief that Mutants must fight back against the humans that hated them or risk extermination, Magneto sent him dangerous mutants who couldn't control their powers. He was supposed to let them try to control their powers and, if it got out of control, deactivate their powers until they were ready to try again.
A year later, after his power had expanded to weakening and strengthening powers, Switch fell in love with one of his subjects, a woman named Push. She got pregnant and, after the child was born he learned he could sense the child's power, including that he could activate and deactivate his power. After Push learned to use her Telekinetic shockwave power, she left, but Switch kept their child to raise himself. After that he started trying to seduce or blackmail every woman that came to him for help into having his child.
One of those children was Reaper. He doesn't know who his mom was, and was raised along with his brothers and sisters to hate humans and use their powers whenever they wanted. Though the limited homeschooling he received made it difficult, he managed to go to college and major in physics, with a minor in electrical engineering. After graduating, he was approached by S.H.I.E.L.D. who knew about his father's ties to Magneto, and wanted him on the payroll in case his father launched an attack. They gave him a job in the research division. He worked his way up the ranks, eventually being assigned to the Tesseract project.

Skills: Alaina is very skilled in various martial arts and tends to have an eclectic fighting style. She prefers close range combat, and uses a pair of pistols, daggers, and throwing knives. She can speak multiple languages and pick locks in mere seconds. She’s quick, agile, and a skilled acrobat.

Powers/Abilities: Alaina has enhanced speed and the ability to teleport from one place to another in the blink of an eye. The further the distance, the more energy it takes, and she can’t travel especially long distances without feeling drained, making her ability better suited to use in combat then as a real means of transportation. Alaina also has the ability to cast illusions of herself, or simulacra. She can create multiple images at once and control them individually. She has the ability to make the illusions immaterial or solid, though it is very difficult and takes much more focus to keep the solid ones going for very long. This power, along with her ability to teleport, makes it very easy for her to confuse her enemies and avoid injury in a fight.

Personality: Alaina likes to have fun and is usually lighthearted and very sarcastic. She enjoys observing others and finds quite a bit of amusement in watching conflict, whether it be an argument or a fight. Alaina becomes annoyed pretty easily and has a bad temper when angered. She’s the kind to hold onto a grudge for as long as possible. She’s practical, distrustful, and rarely opens up. Serious feelings tend to be things she avoids if at all possible. While she’d never admit it, she does want to help others whenever she can, and her loyalty, though hard to truly earn, is very strong.

Biography: Alaina is the child of a powerful mutant named Alden Grey. Her mother, another mutant, died in childbirth. Her mother had possessed the ability to teleport extremely long distances, and her father the ability to multiply himself and control a dozen complete copies with ease. Both of these abilities were passed down to Alaina, though in less concentrated forms. Alaina’s father raised her on his own, moving constantly from place to place and country to country. Her father used his abilities for hire, taking jobs as an assassin, a mercenary, a thief, or whatever else a job could entail. He taught Alaina everything he knew: how to fight, how to be stealthy, and most importantly how to control her abilities.

Alden was a cold man, especially the death of his wife, but he did love his daughter and was fiercely protective of her. Her childhood was extremely unconventional, but it did not usually seem like a bad one to the young Alaina.

Unfortunately, living as her father did meant making enemies, and one group in particular decided to seek revenge against him. The group surprised both father and daughter in the small apartment they were staying in. Alaina was thirteen years old at the time. The ensuing fight was brutal and quick. Because of the sheer amount of attackers, her father was overwhelmed and killed before her eyes. Weak and severely wounded, Alaina was left for dead next to her father’s body. No one expected the little girl to survive, but somehow she did. After she recovered, Alaina strategically hunted down and killed everyone involved in the attack in order to avenge her father’s death.

She then followed in her father’s footsteps, moving around frequently and taking jobs from whoever was the highest bidder. Using the alias, “Echo,” she quickly made a name for herself as an assassin and thief, soon getting herself onto SHIELD’s radar in a bad way. They tracked her down in Chicago when she was eighteen, giving her an ultimatum. They wanted to recruit her, but it was clear that saying no would mean trouble. Alaina accepted, having no reason not to, and has been working jobs for them as a high-level agent for the past two years.

Name: Jonathan "Fracture" Trent
Appearance:
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Skills: Basic SHIELD stealth training, advanced hand-to-hand combat training, and is resourceful with his ability
Powers/Abilities: Osteokinesis (Bone Manipulation) and increased healing - When having large amounts of calcium in the body (typically by drinking normally unhealthy amounts of milk), Jonathan can grow his bones to protrude through his skin and out of his body. The bone can then be used as dermal armor, or can be used for other purposes like growing into spikes for combat or climbing. The bones cannot 'ungrow', and breakage is required for healing to take effect. Because of the bones piercing through his skin, it would normally take a long time for the body to close the wound and heal fully. While not to the extent of Logan Howlett or Wade Wilson, he does have increased healing so that he would not bleed out from the giant holes going through his skin. The full healing process would take a few hours, but he can continue working only after a half hour of healing.
Personality:
Biography: Jonathan was born in California to two mutants in hiding, gaining his father's bone density and healing factor, and his mother's bone manipulation. While they were aware of each other's powers, they did not know that their son had mutant abilities as well. His powers were revealed when he was in primary school, at the time dealing with a common bully. The young man was so furious at the bully for being as harsh as he was, and his clenched hand became covered in bone armoring. The display of his powers scared off the bully, and scared Jonathan as well. He was not aware of his parents being mutants, and didn't know that he was one as well. The were just as shocked as he was to find out what he could do, and began to help him harness his powers.

Years later, Jonathan was at a bank with his parents when a robbery took place. It was a group robbery, with five people being involved. The teen and his parents were up at one of the counters when the even took place, and as such they saw most of what happened. Jonathan's parents decided not to do anything as the chance of being injured or killed was too high, and despite what they told their son, he took action and covered most of his body in dermal armor to fight the robbers. He was fully aware that he could not make the bones recede back into his body, and had to deal with the consequences of walking around in public with broken bone armor. That kind of appearance attracted attention.

SHIELD heard about an attempted back robbery in a small town in the golden state. They were quite surprised during their background check of Trent, finding out about his abilities and parents. They set off quickly to find him and induct him into the elite agency.

At the age of seventeen, Jonathan Trent was taken to be trained as a SHIELD agent. He spent five years at the SHIELD academy of Operations, where he trained to be a field agent. He spent more time at the academy than most because of his mutant abilities, but that only meant that he had more training before going out into the field. He was a great field agent, normally being put on missions that could require one to three other people. He worked well on a team, but not as the leader. He followed orders to a tee, but couldn't give them out quite as well.

Recently, he was given orders to join a new team, oddly named the Odd Squad.

Skills: Once went to a karate lesson but dropped out after one day when the teacher got sick of him biting people (this was also before his transformation into his new body). Reginald also has extensive knowledge about genetics and radiation but come on, that's nothing compared to karate.

Powers/Abilities: For one Karuba has a ton of strength coming from his mixed anatomy and gamma radiation. A downside to the gamma radiation strength is that he requires regular doses of gamma radiation to keep him from dying from complete genetic revolt. He also has a whole other slew of powers from his anatomy such as being able to spray irradiated ink out of his octo-armpit although it only has long term possible side effect such as cancer but by golly does it hurt in the eyes. He has gills and an electric eel tail couple that with his octo-arm makes for quite a swimmer. He is also able to conduct electricity into anything that touches his kin including machinery. A small and obvious trait he also has is his sharp claws and teeth. Karuba, to top it off, also has parrot vocal cords so that he can form coherent words and talk to people.

Personality: Karuba has a very stupid personality to put it simply. He may be a genius when it comes to genetics and gamma radiation but he has a more animalistic/idiot vibe to him. If you were to ask him when he's assaulting a tree he'll likely retort with "YOU HAS A LOT OF NERVE COMING IN MY TERRITORY" and then would likely start chasing you as your in his territory and you would likely die if you don't have any powers or gadgets. He is very idiotic in most scenarios but in reality he's just lost it and doesn't remember any better.

Biography: Karuba was once known as the famous Dr.Gregory Valendite whom made many breakthroughs in the ways of genetics research in the 1970's and also dabbled in the art of gamma radiation but as he got older he began to loose his mind. Now your probably thinking its because he was getting old but you sir would be wrong! It was in fact because he lived in almost complete isolation in a bunker that evidently was under a bridge located in Germany. Naturally he was going to go a little crazy but he really went off the deep end when he lost it. Dr.Gregory decided that his body was beginning to fail him after one of his kidneys failed and he had to get a medical evacuation to the nearest hospital or in his case a lady in a nearby town who went to medical school for three months. When Dr.Valendite got back he began trying to figure out a new suitable host for his brain. His first choice was a bear but then he decided he wanted to put his brilliant brain in an octopus. Halfway through the process of building a machine to house his brain he realized why decided between the two and so thus he began sewing together different animal parts but naturally he knew the new body wouldn't work as the genetic differences would conflict with one another and make it impossible for the body to survive. Luckily he had heard about a super villain down in Manhattan known as digger which was a Frankenstein mixture of different genetics although all from human but the principle was the same so thus Dr.Valendite decided to use his knowledge of gamma radiation to his advantage and used a similar processes of gamma irradiation to hold the body together. The body was now able to sustain itself so by all logic it was time for Dr.Valendite to transfer his brain into his new body and become Karuba! The mixture of animal anatomy! The animal kingdom all in one bowl!

Karuba knew now that he had messed up big time now that he was in his new body. No part of him had opposable thumbs or anyway of continuing his work. This drove him further into madness and once he managed to get the door open to his bunker he went on a murderous rampage on the local wildlife as he was hungrier then a malnourished snorlax. After bringing down the local animal population by almost 50% and brings down the local wildlife rangers population by 75% exactly (a feat done almost on purpose when he got it down to 74.9% and felt the need to round it out) so thus the big guns were called in, SHIELD.

SHEILD operatives were sent to take him out but only a few came back luckily being able to take down Karuba and bring him in. They ended up needing to use whale tranquillizers which could only be bought on the black market which SHIELD had taken in possession as a measure to take on the hulk if he ever went rouge. When Karuba awoke three days later he explained his situation to his guard and said he didn't mean to much harm which he immediately retorted with "well that's a lie. I did mean it but hey, I was freaking starvin'" luckily Karuba was given the opportunity to have all charges dropped and get a small cybernetic arm for more precise motor function so he could continue his work but only if he agreed to join a new task force they were assembling... The aveng- Opps! Sorry typo. The OddSquad!

Name: Alexis Zable
Alias: (only when using his powers) Silver Ryu (or shorten to either Silver or Ryu)
Appearance:

Skills: Archaeology, Artifact hunter, explorer and adventurer, melee specialist, trained sniper and trained in stealth (both mostly with aid from his powers)
Powers/Abilities: He is able to use special artifacts that for some reason (likely a bloodline trait) can only accept him, these artifacts infuse themself with his body, but he can only use one at a time and needs so time to focus to change them, so they cant be changed on a whim, currently he has only one (fusing with one of these Kari's stops his aging, making him forever 21 unless killed)

-Silver:
this power is a high defense power in general, from the center of his spine he can release a liquid silver colored metal that covers his entire body (like a symbiot from spiderman), with crystal like visors on his eyes (white quarts, reflective that you can only see his eyes up close), the mass can be reshaped to make things like claws or swords, bigger things like wings however need to leave spots on the `skin` open as the mass is limited.
The entire mass at least supports Alexis his muscles, as the "skin" is heavy, yet he can still move as good as always and even do a few feats better (like jumping from roof to roof or lift something heavy with a bit more ease) but its nowhere near super strength, just a slight support.
the mass can also be crystallized as the visors indicate for multiple purposes such as turning black to hide in darkness or turn diamond to increase defense some more BUT prevent movement, also the visor can change to give other types of vision such as heat (ruby red), high speed (sapphire blue) and even night (emerald green) and zoom (diamond white)
also it has at least 2 other shape it can take:
Dragon shape:
like shape where its body is partly covered by blades, it gains wings and a tail, BUT leaves the stomach area and lower legs open as that inside the mouth of the dragon head you can reach Alexis his head (what is both a danger to the hidden identity part (when still able to live between humans) and a danger in general for attacks), this shape however increases strength, high jumping due to the strength and heat vision
Wolf shape:
Taking on the wolf shapes his body turns more aerodynamic, walking on all 4's, having a wolf head and actually looks perfectly like a wolf in any way aside its silver color.
The wolf shape increases speed to high levels, also increase agility, able to scale walls to a small degree with the right momentum, it has small claws what is not of much use for attacking and is made purely for scaling the walls, the tail is made from blades and on the nose it a small yet sharp pin, the visor is a high speed sight nonstop, objects can be placed in the back layer in order to safely transport them, the ears take in sounds from all sides working as a small range radar or long range eavesdrops system.

trough this is pretty powerful his power is filled with weaknesses:
-the "skin" need time to pull over Alexis, its a short time but its still vital as the area that is most important, his front(chest) gets covered last, so a quick attack, a sniper shot or something used right when he starts pulling the skin out of his back would go trough the opening before it covers the body completely.
the skin is also not perfect, bullets of a normal gun do get stopped but always leave a bruise, a point blank shot or a sniper shot hurts like hell and would surely leave a huge mark and will hurt a long time, perhaps even deal some damage to the muscles under the skin's, explosives power in general would get blocked but the shock wave will surely deal its damage to his body under the silver (with chance of enhanced forces as the mass keeps a liquid like quantity and the liquid can guide the shock to the body).
-each visor sight has its own weakness, heat vision might be useful to see though a wall but it cant see who is who (at best it see's the difference between male and female and body type's), high speed will surely leave a splitting headache (and possible dizziness) the longer its used and thus cause problems concentrating and keeping up with things (also can cause a migraine on the long run), far sight prevents seeing close by, night vision cant see in light area's
-the black gem state is like any gem, a heavy thing so while it hides Ryu in the darkness if Ryu walks on things like metal or hard ground, chance that he makes sound is high
-diamond might take a sniper or even rocket hit, even prevent the damage explosive would deal him if he gets hit by it in basic silver mode BUT he cant move so its only useful for defense and its the hardest shape to make, taking some time in order to shape and he wont be able to keep it up forever, also while it can take explosions, a heavy blast could leave a concussion)
-the dragon shape has open spots on the armor and fixed heat sight so useless in a team fight yet needs team members to cover the weakness parts
-the wings I mentioned are not for flight as the entire armor is to heavy, at most it can glide a little to prevent falling to death.
-using any shape and falling in water will let Alexis sink deep in seconds due to the weight it gets in water, Alexis cant move due to the added weight during this and he sinks so fast that pulling the armor back into his back will still leave him too deep to swim back up, the armor would have limited air under water and only the dragon shape could walk under water BUT due to open spots it lets water in the armor, limiting air more and eventually end with drowning.
-The Wolf shape might be better then the dragon due to increase of movement without lowering the defense of the silver class BUT, it has multiple other weaknesses, making it a good question which would truly be better:
--Walking on all 4's means Ryu loses using his hands or most human based traits aside talking.
--it has nearly no offensive ability's as the tail is hard to use in general, the nose pin can get stuck in the target (or other stuff he might hit if he misses the target) as are not that long to deal any heavy damage, being too shallow.
--the visor just like the dragon cant be changed and will give Ryu a large headache the longer he is in this shape
--the space of the objects on the back is limited of course.
--the ears can only do one of the 2 options at the same time.

there might be some more unknown qualities to this Kari like more crystal shapes and visor sights, but he needs to learn them and I will off course first ask if the new trait is acceptable
The Silver Kari is one of the rare (4 smart kari's, ranking on the 3e spot) able to act in order to protect its owner as best as possible and able to give yes and no answers, Trough Alexis has not realized these traits and unconsciously suppress it, acting himself when he realizes something.

Personality: Mostly I still need to work on something and make it show in IC, I do know that when he uses his full power he will gain the confidence to start making silly jokes
Biography: Alexis was recruited 10 years ago by S.H.I.E.L.D. for 2 reasons, one was his archaeological expertise and artifact hunter hobby, the other is because of his bloodline, being the last decedent of a race able to actually bond with 14 powerful artifacts, one of which they already had and gave to him if he joined, something he was interested in, wanting to research the artifact first, though it ended up bonding the moment he touched the silver orb, to which it turned liquid and oozed across his body before entering though the skin in the center of his spine.

(if he would find any of the others is debatable and even if accepted, I wont make a habit of hm having all orbs ASAP, more like as everyone growths, so will he gain a orb, or if we come across a spot a orb can be hidden (I have a list on my end of on what type of location each one can be hidden, so it would depend on our locations and by not mentioning non of us can influence this)
