but if you have to work that hard for just detail then you've lost the point in writing. This is story telling. Its about the emotion, of interacting as one with all the senses to weave a grand story in it. It isn't table top gaming. You shouldn't need numbers in story writing.
That doesnt mean there shouldnt be stats in this kind of world, but they arent needed to determine the story. I mean look at SAO. You see character stats mentioned, and they play a part in the interactions between individuals in the series. But when it comes to the story they have no place in where things are progressing. You don't see dps or saving throws or whatever jargon is used for that sort of thing.
