Welcome to the IC!

I suggest that you begin your first post at your headquarters and go over how your civ is doing. Then, in later posts, embark upon diplomatic, commercial and military interaction with your neighbours. Befriend city-states and minor powers (in grey) or destroy them in battle and take their lands.

After most people have done one post, I'll put up the system for recruiting soldiers. Then you can begin to gather your forces and take what is rightfully yours!

If you can't read the map above, a larger version can be found here.

It was that strange dream again, the one where I or a different version of me lives so much different world, yet so same. Like from different time. I should speak with shaman before these hallucinations effect my work. James I awakes to a new dawn. Weird dreams have bothered him again. They happen sometimes, like trying to remind him of something long lost and forgotten. Such things do nothing but cloud his mind, and king should always be clear-minded.

He rises and watches the capital of Majorcan Kingdom spreading before him. Palma. Oyster of the sea. Undistinguished by it's looks, protected by its shell, tasty treat for hungry and pearl that wold take long time to develop. The coasts were rocky and harsh, but inlands provided enough food for the people, especially small game like rabbits are plenty. What we don't have on our own islands, we trade with the people from vast lands. They appreciate our peoples skill with sling and the white rock which makes you thirsty. Trade is slow, though. We lack numbers in boats, the trees growing on islands being small and twisted, not ideal for boat frames. It takes weeks to sail between the harbors and currents are yet to map. Merchants from afar have brought rumors of new metals, stronger than bronze. I do not care for such, finding bronze on our lands would be more pleasing news.

There is much to do, and much to pray for. James I takes a handful of olives and prepares for another day of leading his kingdom, hopefully for greater tomorrow.
