Charles nods, "One week? That won't be so bad. Now, along with your powers, you're going to forget the martial art that you've been creating." Just as he had with Connor, Charles motions Kijani closer and places his hands on her head. He closes his eyes for about thirty seconds as he puts the mental blocks up, then opens them and laughs, "I'm sorry Kijani, but I need you to tell Connor something. Once your punishment period is up, you'll have to return to me in order to have the restrictions removed. Have a lovely day, Ms. Ryane."
Batman finished reading the letter a dozen times and sighs deeply, "I can't let her know about this." He expertly reseals the letter and places it in a safe behind his desk, then leaves the Academy to attend the funeral of Commissioner Gordon.
John finds his way to Professor X, and after a short lecture about finding self control, has the restrictions placed on him. Finally, he casually strolls to Rankin's class.
Ben, alone once again after the fight, makes his way to Power Development and sits in the back.
Anthony passed Mr. Wayne while on the way to class, and smiles as Bruce leaves the Academy. "Finally! I was beginning to think he never left!" He peeks into the Academy's main office, and is surprised to see that Ms. Gordon was also missing. "Well that's odd. Is there a party I don't know about?" He walks through the main office and pauses just outside of Batman's office, savoring the fact that he was sneaking into the place where all the decisions were made. Not only was this the office where Batman made the decisions about the Academy, but it was also where he met with some of the other most important men and women of the metahuman community. Anthony sits on a chair and unclasps a few hardly noticeable latches on his dress shoes, and slid a thin layer off the bottom. Inside the hollow, hidden compartments of his shoes, Anthony pulls out a device that appears to be a pen, a bag of graphite powder, a small brush, and a very pale, lifelike, collapsible model of a human hand. With his tools in hand, Anthony enters Batman's office, secure in the fact that there wouldn't be any security cameras. After all, why take the risk that someone would be able to hack into the video feed, and see the private meetings? Anthony sets his tools on Batman's desk and scans the room for a moment, wondering how much he could take without it being missed. He opens the bag of graphite powders and sprinkles some over the white keys of Bruce's computer, then gently uses the brush to move any excess powder onto the desk. Anthony uses his phone to take a picture of the fingerprints that appear on the keyboard, which his phone then analyzes to determine which prints belong to Bruce's right hand. He plugs the phone into the model of a hand, whose surface comes alive as it mimics both Bruce's fingerprints and approximate skin tone. Anthony places the hand on the security scanner of Bruce's safe, which whirs for a moment before popping open. To prevent himself from forgetting to cover his tracks, Anthony presses the top of the pen-like device, which turns out to be a miniature vacuum. He methodically sucks up all trace of the graphite powder, then returns all of his tools to their place in his shoes. Anthony pulls a pair of gloves out of his pocket and slips them on before leafing through the documents contained within the safe. He snaps pictures of the ones he finds useful, and is about to close the safe when he sees an envelope addressed to Phoebe. Spotting an opportunity to gain some favor, he sticks it in his pocket before closing the safe and leaving the office. From start to finish, the "heist" took but five minutes. Anthony takes off his gloves as he hurriedly makes his way to Mimic's class.
