After Sue makes a right, the walls inexplicably slam shut behind her. A forty feet stretch of floor in front of her splits in half, and as each half recedes into the wall; a pool of water appears twenty feet below her. Just below where the floor originally was, ten tiles jut out from the sides of the pit. There are twenty inches long and ten inches wide, and tilt downward at a fifty degree angle. They are placed at varying distances from each other, and in the water below, small dark forms can be seen thrashing around. Suddenly, the lights in the hall way begin to vary in brightness. Near Sue, the light is as it was before, but as the lights grow dimmer every few feet until complete darkness blankets the last two tilted tiles and the end of the hallway.(If anything needs clarification, let me know,)
Oh god, a jumping obstacle, Sue thought. She suddenly remembered her first day in the Academy when she could not for the life of her reach for the handles in PE. Now she had to jump across this giant pool to get to the other end.
She remembered her new technique of sonic propulsion. Sue barely had room to take a step back to ready herself. She ran and jumped off and with a light clap of her hands she jumped in the air and her foot made contact with the first tile on the right. The tile was angled so she knew she had to keep going if she didn’t want to fall, so she clapped again, leaning the right wall. After the second tile she let out a louder clap that pushed her all the way to the other side of the pool. She was now at the end of the hallway. She opened the door and saw the hallway leading forward and right. She looked forward but saw a hallway whose walls had numerous doors. She decided to go right, which felt endless.
