SueRyan hugged Sue. She had signed to her what she’d just read, and quite frankly she felt nothing with the hug. She was dejected. She did not want to do anything more. Not only could she not attend the ball with her passive sound-amplifying abilities and not only did her spirit get crushed by Mimic’s words and Sue’s lack of development, she just lost a friend. As much as she wanted to investigate and look for her, she…. simply just couldn’t do anything with her fatigue and sadness. One almost never combines these words together with Sue; it’s just unheard of. But it existed, and it’s taken Sue a very long time to bounce back.
She decided to leave Phoebe’s room, but before tidying it up and… leaving the note on her table top. She walked up to her floor when she saw a familiar face just outside her door, so well-dressed. It was Anthony. Of all people she expected, she did not expect Anthony. He was just always there for her for some reason and Sue looked and felt terrible and her mind is a mess and… she had no idea how she was supposed to get to her room. She wanted to be alone. She walked up to Anthony and tapped him on the shoulder, her face poofy and red, her hair a mess, with emotions of complete depression.
In the ballCaits, the tall woman, walked up to the stage. “Thank you everyone for coming in tonight! We see a number of couples all decked-out with suave and beauty! Before I continue, I’d like to thank the Academy and of course our devilishly handsome principal Bruce Wayne for letting us host the Ball continually every year to celebrate the season of love!”
She paused for effect.
“And now, the slow-dance! Couples up on the floor, hurry hurry!”
