The ice cracked a bit this time, but it was surface damage. It didn't look like this was going anywhere. This was ice compatible to Katherin's father, Iceman, at his peak. In fact Katherin would be one of the few to witness this level of ice control first hand. Who else could it be?

"Damn it" Connor sighed, stepping down. He might be warm, but he knew most of the others would be freezing. What could he do? At this rate, his friends and classmates would freeze to death.

Frustrated, he said, "Put everything we have into this attack" And raised a hand again. As soon as the attack was let off, the suit shut down for a few seconds, powering back up. he couldn't do that too often.

Kalinda drew close to the ice in the shadows, before trying to slip passed it. Maybe if she could, she could get help. Katherine had Ice powers, she knew. Maybe she could do something. But first, she had to get to her.

Both the door leading outside and the glass covering it shatter under Connor's blast.

With the blast the ice broke and the fridged cold outside rushed in. It looked like a blizzard outside with a heavy snow falling down. The cold cut through Maxine's fit and she shivered. "Oh god now it's even colder."

Bursting into flames to generate heat Estella forced the wind back. "Freezing us won't help Connor. We need to move. Hand out the communicators."

As Kat worked on the illusions, she noticed the occasional drifting in the air, the wind tugging on her clothes, but ignored this as she continued to focus. However it only escalated and soon she could no longer maintain the images and reluctantly let them drop; only then really taking into account the situation she was in. The world was white and she was leaving tracks in the snow; obviously the invisibility was being proved useless. Dropping the spell she realised the snow had enveloped her in whiteness, clinging to her clothes, her hair, the only relief provided by the bittersweet wind. She quickly looked down to her hands but relaxed to see that they too were white.

Turning back to the gym she saw the door coated in ice, trying to work out whether that it was better for them to be trapped inside or not given the conditions out here. It wasn't an issue for long though as she heard a blast and realised what was happening. Quickly drawing a shield up around her, kicking up a flurry of more snow, she sheltered from the shards of ice and glass, before looking back to the now hole of an entrance to the gym and the students within.

There was no purpose in staying in the snow so she quickly disappeared and reappeared again in the comparably warm gym. "I don't think outside is such a good idea any longer." She said, frozen speech bubbles holding her words aloft as she shook her hair, knocking off more of the snow which stubbornly embraced her.

Katherin heard something crash behind her. She turned her attention in the direction of the sound. It was only then that she noticed that the tempture had dropped. Moving away from the sound she said. "What on Earth?"

"You would have frozen in here as well, if the ice wasn't removed. Just slower" Connor said, "And lighting a fire in the gym didn't seem like such a good idea, when we couldn't get out and it might spread" He handed the communicators around.

Not wanting to get trapped agian, Kalinda quickly headed out in the shadows. She was still in the clothes she was going to wear for gym, and regretted that, but if she stayed in the shadows, she should be alright.

Then she remembered that some powers of her classmates seemed to be used against them, and cursed. Could her own be used? Was there someone in the shadows, was that who was responsible. Wary, she headed back to the gym, slipping out the shadows.

She wrapped her arms around herself, and was immediately shivering. "I have an idea" She said. She looked out the door, worried, but thought Griffin would be okay in his Yeti form out in the cold. She looked back

The temperture dropping Griffin worried about his fellow classmates. Most of them were not built for cold the way he was. Griffin flew lower. There was only a small group outside right now, so he could afford to be low enough to hear those outside.

As the group recovered from the blast of winter that had hit them as a result of the destruction of the door, the speedster returned. They rushed into the gym, dragging in a stream of snow and ice into the already freezing room, and then circled a couple of times before disappearing back outside. The blizzard had now truly moved into the heart of the gym as the snow stormed round and round, blinding them.

Austin squinted his eyes, putting on the communicator when it was handed to him. He looked around, trying to see past the white. He had great eyesight, that didn't mean he could see through the snow. That was blowing around them. He shivered, the cold biting it's way through his fur.

Devika huddled near the other students. She really didn't know what to do, besides help in a very subtle way. She was drawing away some of the fear and tension from the trapped students, trying to keep them from being completely paralyzed by fear. But it had the nasty side effect of making her shaky and sweaty, even in the iced-over gym. She sat down and leaned her forehead against her knees, just waiting.

Kijani took a communicator, setting it into her ear. "This is pissing me off! If this is a test, they could have given me my powers back so I can really go at it. And if it isn't a test, why the hell are we the only ones left?" She paused, thinking. "...I wonder if our mysterious assailant has my powers. It could give us at least an idea of when we were copied. If it was long ago, then it will use my strength- but anything within the last week, and it can't have my powers, because I didn't have any." She hoped that was making sense to the others.

Kalinda whimpered, falling to the ground, trying to find any bit of warmth, shivering violently. You could freeze to death quite quickly she knew."No!" She yelled, raising both hands, unconsciously taking in some of the emotions of those around her, she used her telekinesis to push the snow, the blizzard back with all her might, using the emotions to add strength, not knowing if it was even working, but knowing that she wouldn't die doing nothing, wouldn't die not knowing if her friends were okay. Not now that she actually had some

Leaving less room for the wind and snow to swirl around the snow inside had the chance to settle. With vision of their surroundings restored they would see a figure standing in the entrance to the gym. At first it was hard to believe, but coming in was Katherin in full ice form. She didn't say a word and just glared at the students. How pitiful most of them looked, standing there shivering from the cold.

Almost immediately after the speedster returned, running one last ring around the students before stopping beside the not-quite-Katherin. It was then they could see he was the identic image of Ryan, wearing the same look as the girl beside him as he looked down on the pathetic group.

Kalinda rose. She stared at the copies-for they were copies, after all, the boy was in the gym with them. While they were standing there in view, She decided to try something. She reached out for the shadows-it was like an extra limb. She tried to get them to itch towards the copies, and snatch at their legs to see if she could hold them in place like that.

Connor frowned, risking a glance about. What was going on? It just didn't make sense. He watched, waiting to see what the dopplegangers would do

With quite a few of the students bunched together around Kalinda who had dissipated the flurry just moments ago. The icy Katherin pointer her hand toward them and a structure of ice shot out. Catching this Estella jumped away and tried launching fire at the apparent enemy. But as before it was no match for the intensely cold ice.

Connor, still in front of the group from destroying the ice and doors, stayed his ground, and fired three quick powerful shots at the ice, knowing it was futile, but also know he would be protected by the suit as long as it had energy reserves.

"Just go Kalinda, find the others give them communicators!" He said

Despite the fact there could be a copy of her, Kalinda slipped into the shadows once more

John head jerks from side to side as he decides who to go after. Knowing that without his powers he wouldn't be able to do much damage to either of the clones, he runs out of the gym, scooping up Maxine and Devika on the way. He calls over his shoulder to Austin, "Come with me, protect them!" John drops the two girls outside of the gym before running back inside and looking for someone else to help.

Sue noted Anthony’s words of concern, and would reply naturally where it not for the blast that had sounded from behind them.

As they’d promptly moved in to then mysteriously icy gym, her skin chilled and rough with goose bumps, she was surrounded with an almost magical, almost superpower ring of air and… impact... that kept them in place with the environmental temperature and snow dropping on them.

The sheer sight of the clones of Katherin and Ryan scared her. She never would have thought such a thing existed. Could she fight her own friend? Was she even her friend? Could she be a friend?

Those questions were decided quickly, when the ice blast was fired at them.

Estella and Connor tried to blast it away with no effect.

Sue, almost reactively, leapt forward and clapped outwards as loud as she could, utilizing her powers. She hoped the epic soundwave would crush the ice blast not a few feet away from her now.

Anthony follows Sue into the gym, and when he see's the chaos, his eyes turn a steely shade of gray. He grabs a communicator from Kalinda before she disappears into the shadows and puts it in his ear. "Mr. Stark, focus on the clone if Ryan. Your lasers are just a fast as him and your targeting system gives you a better chance of getting him than anyone else."

A girl that looks exactly like Phoebe steps into the gym, unnoticed. She raises we arms in front of her and the mass of plants that were beneath the hallway suddenly bust through the ground and fly past her. The ten foot thick vines streak through the air, twisting and writhing as they near the students.
