Through the years of the management of the Academy it was not uncommon to come across some of the weirdest, dangerous, and anomalous events. Sue’s reckless destruction of a building was not the first of its kind, though it was in terms of its power; there have been many other rebellious acts, fraudulent or honest mistakes and carelessness. Often the school has no problem dealing with these situations and the school faculty decides on what happens to the students for their behaviour. Sue was one of the few cases where a power of such magnitude coupled haphazardly with its volatility where the school had a serious decision to make, one that paled in comparison to the pettiest of issues.
Esuterura was another.
The damage was negligible, and the students could be controlled easily with strict reminders of discipline and avoidance, the emotional and traumatic impact recoverable. The only problem was that they were not dealing with a student; but a stranger from another planet.
The entire faculty had just handled an issue with Sue’s sonic boom and then came another. The work of the teachers never stops.
Many of the heroes that could fly did, and surveyed the sky and the atmosphere for accessible information for course of direction, possible damage and all other relevant information. They also monitored the ground from above to move and control the students away from the crater, reminding them that school was dismissed for the rest of the day. The Sun was setting, their shadows casted large shadows and were it not for their recognizable voices they’d be black silhouettes against the warm-toned sky.
Batman interrupted Connor and the being, appearing in front of them out of nowhere. Closely followed, behind the two, were Superman, Mimic, Martian Manhunter and Starfire – three readily available and happened to be aliens of Earth in their truest sense.
“Come with us,” the commanding voice of Superman bellowed and authoritative, Batman stepping back and beyond. “Leave us, Connor,” he continued, Batman grabbing hold of the boy by the shoulder, pulling him away from the girl.
“She has powerful telepathy. She does not know our language, Clark,” J’onn spoke in his deep voice, watching Esuterura intently.
So Superman repeated her message, hoping that he made it clear to her. The tall figures moved closer, surrounding her, and moved in formation to the Science Faculty Building.
Esuterura was cooperative for what it’s worth. Her demeanour was still dubious, her stare mesmerizing.
In the underground floors of the Science Faculty Building housed several containment units used for experimentation of chemical or biological in nature. It met the BioSafety Level 4, the highest level of biocontainment precautions required to isolate dangerous biological agents in an enclosed facility. Of course, it was not as simple as that, and many other precautions have been taken for the likes of astral, cosmic and in this case even magical to a certain extent, with the help of technological development and advancements and the minds of Lex Luthor, Bruce Wayne and several enchantments from multiple sorcerers.
One of the containment units was the ad-hoc placement room for Esuterura.
“She communicated with Connor earlier with telepathy, and she said she was from Suteruraru. I know of that place,” J’onn spoke to the 4 of them. “They are close with nature and hold it divine. Their people can control the elements, which are no more different to that of Earth.”
They all had something to say, but Bruce Wayne interrupted and spoke first:
“Why have you come here?”
