SueTwo weeks have passed since that exciting day. The resumption of school that following day had been just as exciting, save the destruction though. Sue was more than ever determined to train herself, and not just to train herself to use her power, so as to become a better person.
She saw to it that this was a new life she had to live by. Her old life lingers but it cannot be the same again. She’d have to adapt and take control again. Her powers have taken the best of her in her early days in the Academy but now it was Sue’s turn. Granted it was slow, but at least she made attempts and progress, such determination made prideful of Sue, hoping to follow her dad’s footsteps, by making her own. Of course, dancing and music was still a part of her, and so she was going to be a unique kind of hero. She’d come up with an alias for herself. She cast her mind back to the day she fought Mimic and how the sound reverberated and amplified all around the room, the relentless ripples and wavelengths perpetually raised and powerful. It was a multiple reflections of sound, arriving back at the listener some time after the direct sound. In acoustics, they were called echoes.
Sue’s alias is now
Echo.
Sue continued to pay attention in class, drawing down notes instead of writing and jotting. She paid special attention to fighting techniques. Her battle with Mimic was unique, in that no other student in her class had fought him by dance. Sue sought for advice on offensive and defensive dance-fighting and maintained her regime of fitness and speed and flow in her life of dance mixed with crime-fighting.
Her daily sessions in the library off-class made her a walking sight of popularity. She found that her classes could not teach her what she wanted to know, so the expansive knowledge of the libraries made up for it. It was one of her new favourite places too, since it was quiet. Despite her supposed less fear for lack of control with her power in the midst of noise, she found the silence much more comforting. Her earmuffs still had to be on though; her power would amplify even the sound of the ticking clock which tended to drive everyone out.
Sue for a while was the talk of the town, but she was shadowed by their alien visitor. She didn’t really mind. Change was a perception of difference, despite it being either good or bad. Sue was change.
She still went to training with Iron Fist, every day the better she got into handling her ability. Though the volumes still reached screeching high states, Sue did not cry but resigned to calling it a day of hard work. Her form of self-control taught her not only to not be afraid of her power, but also to make her mature and mindful when using it. Lessons taught hard often stay with us forever.
Even more interesting was the new specialized training room built for Sue. It was adjacent to the building where Iron Fist and her trained. To say that this room was large was an insult. It was
vast. It was the size of an American football field and was protected by a forcefield that she was told could handle the strength of an atomic bomb. Surely this was excessive she thought, but who knew the true extent of her power.
Her power was continually explored during her times with Mimic during Power Development. With her use of her high-tech, state of the art headphones, it became her sort of weapon of choice. They discovered the range of damage that could be caused with each level of volume on her headphones via the gridded wheel. 1 was the equivalent of a car starting up and revving its engine; 2 was a monster truck revving its engine; 3 they explored previously was a loud concert; 4-6 were the equivalents of bomb explosions. They have yet to look into 7-10, yet her headphones allowed her to go to 15. Even Sue was scared of the thought of that. She recalled reading up on Songbird, whom Sue came to liking and admiring, and her long psionic and sonic blasts that caused craters and earthquakes. That was so cool, she thought, but far too dangerous. There may come a day when she’d have to do it, but so far it wasn’t necessary. Especially since her song choice involved a lot of bass and thumping, oscillating volumes.
They also looked into how sound could affect her movements. Sonic attacks did not hurt Sue at all, but she could still be moved by them. By using this essence into thought, she had learnt how to propel herself into the air with a good sonic blast. She still had no way of directing the sound flow, but it was a good start with keeping up with flying heroes. She reminded himself of her own father, who screamed to propel himself to the air.
The week had passed, and she tried to keep in touch with the people she knew. She’d hoped that they’d still been friends with her. At least Phoebe, Katherin and Kijani were. She missed Jack, the loverboy who helped her on Day One. She watched as they and their powers matured. It was so impressive. The Academy really was a good place.

Announcement
The sun dawns on the Friday of the second week of school, and as students return to the campus, the PA announces, "Will the following students please report to the Martian Matrix room? (All RPers)"
Her room had been altered. PA announcements were now able to be broadcasted to her room. Speakers and a TV were now available in her room. The sound were perceived differently since the room she was in still absorbed sound, but they made it an effort to make sure the volume was low enough to be heard, and not too loud that Sue unintentionally caused another sonic boom.
She looked herself in the mirror, her body coming back to its form from her dancing days. Her body was slimmer, her muscles more refined. She lifted her shirt to reveal a good set of toned abs. Her breasts still were plump for what it’s worth. Total sex appeal, she thought, teasing herself. She struck a pose and left for the room.

Martian Manhunter
The large metal door leading to the Martian Matrix room opened slowly, revealing the imposing form of J'onn J'onzz. Come in, children." he tells them all mentally. J'onn stands aside, giving the students a chance to walk into the room. Inside the large, well lit room are rows upon rows of comfortable recliners with metal shelves attached to the sides. On these shelves are hat-looking objects with wires sticking out of them, and running into the floors. J'onn watches as the students walk into the room and says, 'Don't be shy, take a seat. We'll begin shortly."
Sue arrived to see a room with an open door, Martian Manhunter gesturing her to enter.
And almost immediately she ran up to Phoebe and hugged her from behind.
She waved to the two other girls, Kijani and Katherin, and looked to the seat with the weird hat-looking things.
She immediately raised her hand to attract J’onn J’onzz, and by gesture, she pointed at her large headphones, and made a quizzical face on how she’d fit her headphones into the hat-looking thing.
She struck a smile at Anthony who smiled at her.
She flaunted her breasts at him, sticking her chest out and waving her hands around to highlight them. Then she ended it with a quick head jolt, indicating aggression, with a silly, grimaced face.
