Kijani grinned wildly and darted into the crowd. "You morons may wanna make a path!" At that, people started screaming and running like ants in the rain, scrambling in all directions. Kijani kept on moving through, dodging and at some points pushing her way through. She aimed several more knives and let fly, high, going for the Hulk's face.

In his hurry to get the infuriating paper girl, Hulk crashes through the crowd of panicked pedestrians. He swings his arms left and right, sending people flying every which way.

Katherin had an idea it wouldn't help defeat or correl the angry giant, but it was something equally important. Katherin stopped in her tracks. She closed her eyes to help block out distractions. She needed to get this right. Katherin envisioned ice ramps forming on both sides of the road. These ramps would help the flying pedestrians land with fewer injuries. When she opened her eyes Katherin saw that the whole street was lined with ice ramps on both side. "I did it!"

"Nice one!" Phoebe smiles at Katherine, then proceeded to jog up the street making sure none of the predestrians were seriously hurt, while watching the hulk.

Connor flew above, prepared to help of need be

Kijani skidded and then tossed a few more knives. But they went at too high an arc, shooting toward Connor and missing the Hulk entirely.

Flood burst into the class room looking at MM. "Crap! I know I'm late, Captain America needed some help with cleaning up his room after Fighting Theory class and I lost track of time. What's going on right now?" Flood asked MM as he sat down silently wondering if he could join or not.

Connor dodge the knives, "hey, we're on the same team here!" He said with a chuckle

After finding out the route they planned to lead the Hulk down Aver'i flew way ahead. There was a small group of them distracting, or perhaps herding, the Hulk and her presence wouldn't add so much with so many already working on this. So she flew the road he was going to head down and tried to clear them to the best of her ability. She couldn't get them empty but no matter how small a number she could move from the streets it would be some improvement, every person who was out of his way was one more life potentially saved.

J’onn took down mental notes on the progression of his students. They were doing remarkably well, and obviously have shown their development from their lessons.

He did have to penalize them for the mistakes, miscommunication and mishaps that were caused – one in particular was allowing the Hulk to swat away the civilians. He was watching them through a large screen that was brought down for J’onzz to see.

The room was dark and silent except for the grunts and breathing of the young adults. The room was well ventilated to make sure the students were comfortable.

Mike sat in manhunt class bored out of his mind. He was wondering what he should do next.

Flood burst into the class room looking at MM. "Crap! I know I'm late, Captain America needed some help with cleaning up his room after Fighting Theory class and I lost track of time. What's going on right now?" Flood asked MM as he sat down silently wondering if he could join or not.

These students were late, and in fact several more were not even present. It was a bad habit to maintain for any superhero or villain for that matter.

With telepathy, he simply said, to the two students, ”Please just sit down on your chairs, but do not touch the helmets. Do not disturb your fellow students in their battle simulation. If you wish to leave, you are free to do so but simply remain quiet and do not disturb them.”

The students were making good time, J’onn thought. He paid special attention to Anthony and Sue who were away from the fight…

In the New York City simulation

Anthony simply chuckles at the numerous signs of distrust and says, "You all have your jobs, better get started." He accepts the earpiece with a nod, and surveys the street for a vehicle. He spots a discarded motorcycle nearby with a helmet on the ground next to it. He hops on the bike, hands the helmet to Sue and says, "Let's go." Once Sue gets on the bike, Anthony races away from the scene. The motorcycle allows him to weave through traffic and panicked pedestrians alike as he zooms out of the city.

The mayhem was terrifying and scared Sue. She wasn’t sure that she could stun the Hulk with her powers. Sure, it worked on Mimic, but it wasn’t The Incredible Hulk, whose tenacity was fueled by an everlasting anger which powered him almost infinitely.

The fact that she had to take off her headphones to fit the helmet on, the sounds of the chaos were audible to both Sue and Anthony. Sue held on to Anthony tightly, afraid of the shaking of the ground, the falling of debris from above, the sharp stops and turns in maneuvering through the maze of New York City, and the loud roars of the green monster.

Anthony had kept pace with the rest of the team, several meters behind to make sure him and Sue don’t get caught. They were doing great work in driving the beast out of the city. The roars were unmistakable in notifying them that he was pissed and Sue couldn’t bear the thought of Hulk pummeling them all to the ground. But she was awestruck to see them do so well. Austin was caught once though, and was knocked out by the second.

After a long arduous battle of follow the leader, the Hulk was finally led out of the main city-blocks.

Yet, it wasn’t completely sparse of life. They were now in Central Park.

By now the park had been almost empty of people, the main destruction being nearer the Bronx area, the sudden realization that they were in Manhattan.

The Hulk had jumped to one of the big fields in the park. The students quickly followed suit, Anthony and Sue on their motorcycle a few blocks behind.

Then the angry beast raised his arms, and yelled: ”HULK… SMASH!”, and struck the ground with such a force that it broke the earth beneath them, completely putting the team out of balance and falling through the ground. The ones that flew rushed in to help and continued their assault on the large menace.

The earthquake shook the surrounding blocks as well and easily knocked Sue and Anthony over.

Anthony yelled to Sue, both struggling to get up: “Go! Bombard him with sound and stun him!”

Sue nodded at Anthony, bravely walked towards the park, the Hulk roaring, making his mark where he stood, and put her headphones on. She chose a song she knew would do serious damage to Hulk, turned the wheel of her headphones to volume of FOUR, and thought to herself:

”And today’s song choice is…”

Cry For You – November

♫”I never had to say goodbye… You must have known I wouldn’t stay…”♫

The loud thumping bass of her music was creating pulsating waves that shook the windows and her classmates. Thankfully it was an open environment, so the music travelled outwards and was not unnecessarily re-amplified. As the lyrics went on, she ran faster and faster.

♫”You’ll never see me again…!”♫

With the sharp raise of volume of the song, she jumped, and the sound amplification propelled her into the air, well over the fence by several meters, at least several stories high.

She flew. Her legs and arms flew backwards as she with speed and grace launched herself into the park.



She landed a considerable distance in front of the Hulk, who had since moved away from the crater he’d made. The loud music caught his attention, and with a growl so vicious, he started sprinting towards Sue.

They were close to one of the corners of the park, and Sue was facing inwards, the damage was going to spread across the huge forestry and away from the main infrastructure.

As the large monster was just about a swing’s away from hitting Sue, the song hit the 0:53 mark; the chorus.

Sue stood her ground, as the amplified chorus blasted away; intense and powerful shockwaves and massive gales of forced air and debris were released from where she stood. It was a dome of loud techno that knocked not only the Hulk away, but also the surrounding fauna and her fellow students. It was a circle of sonic destruction, and her classmates covered their ears throughout the duration.

The Hulk attempted to resist, angrily fighting his way, barely able to stand up, almost crawling to get Sue, covering his ears. With Sue’s emotions and concentration, she directed the dome of sonic shockwaves into a cone, and managed to spread the array and bombarded The Hulk, Sue becoming a sonic cannon.

The chorus ended, and the Hulk laid flat on the ground. The trees around Sue had their leaves blown away, but everything behind the Hulk had been uprooted and displaced by a frightening distance.

Sue pressed the stop button on her headphones, and coolly breathed in and out. The Hulk remained lifeless on the ground. She’d incapacitated The Incredible Hulk.

She turned around to see her classmates, but was very much weak. She stumbled to her knees, and almost on cue, The Hulk stood, weakened, but angry.

Before anyone could react, Anthony had run in between Sue and the Hulk. Sue was now on the ground motionless.

“No one come any closer. Get Sue out of here. Let me handle this,” Anthony yelled to the team.

Anthony walked closer to Bruce Banner.

The Hulk's anger grows exponentially after being humiliated by the puniest human he had seen that day. He steps forward and prepares to smash her, but pauses for a moment when a purple-eyed man leaps between them. With a shrug, The Hulk brings his hand back to smack Anthony away when something makes him hesitate.

Anthony, furious at himself for letting his emotions get the better of him, stares to the Hulk down and speaks with a soothing voice, "Dr. Banner, everyone here knows you're in that monster somewhere. Think about what you're going to do. Are you really going to sit idly by while the Hulk kills an innocent young woman?"

The Hulk lowers his hands and takes a step back, obviously struggling to keep Banner at bay. Suddenly, he lunges forward and scoops up Anthony with one hand, and holds the young man mere inches from his green, snarling face.

Anthony does his best to ignore the Hulk's rancid breath, and begins to speak forcefully, "Look at her Dr. Banner! She just strained herself to the point of unconsciousness to save her friends and the people of this city. That's a pretty heroic act, and if I remember correctly, you're one of the heroes aren't you?" While he waits to either be crushed or put down, Anthony's mind is racing, "Why on Earth hasn't he killed me yet? It'd be so easy for him, yet he hesitates. I know it's not because I'm particularly comforting guy, so what's forcing him to stop and think?"

Hulk

The monster was struggling to keep his fury up and wanted to continue crushing the puny boy. He was… becoming less angry, and his breathing slowed, his grip loosened….

Bruce Banner

The Hulk had shrunk down, he let go of Anthony and was now going back to the human skin tone. Bruce was coming out and he was conscious of his environment now, as though something had been released from him. As soon as he returned to his original size, he passed out.

Sue and Bruce Banner now laid unconscious on the ground. While Bruce was able to come to a few minutes later, Sue still hadn’t.

Sue was breathing, and the pulse was there, but Sue wasn’t coming to.

Katherin was relieved to see Hulk shrink down to Dr. Banner. She wished she had had a chance to do more but on a whole the team had done well. Katherin wanted to rush over and make sure Sue was alright, but Anthony was already there. Crowding the girl wasn't going to help. Katherin looked around at the destruction they caused. Streets, building, and vehicles had been destroyed. Fortunately few people got hurt, but they were defiantly going to have to work on the destruction they caused.

With her ears now ringing Esuterura was forced to cut off that sense. She'd heard of Sue's great power but had until that point to witness it. Apparently she had arrived at the academy a day too late to get an earlier demonstration. Looking back she surveyed the city. It was definitely a disaster. But considering it could have been a lot worse.

With the Hulk out of the way and Sue in Anthony 's care Esuterura headed back toward the city to help care for anyone there. Her telepathy made it easier to locate those that needed immediate attention.

Anthony kneels next to Sue and presses two fingers against her neck, feeling for a pulse. Once he finds that her pulse is present and regular, breathes a sigh of relief. Anthony flinches and can't help feeling violated as Esuterura invades his mind. He replies mentally, "She'll be fine, that attack just exhausted her. She'll probably be unconscious for a while though." Anthony talks into his earpiece, "Connor, the Hulk is once again Dr. Banner. For some reason, there still aren't any real superheroes around, so clean up and rescue duty falls to us. Sue is unconscious, so I'm going to drop her off at my house, then I'll come out to help." He busts out the window of a nearby car and, upon discovering that the keys are gone, hot wires it. He gingerly picks Sue up, buckles her seatbelt, then drives to the outskirts of NYC to his house. Anthony parks in the driveway, and carefully carries Sue inside. As he nears each door, a hidden sensor scans him for a DNA match and opens automatically. After laying Sue on a bed in the guest room, Anthony writes her a note,

"Sue, during the battle with Dr. Banner, you fainted after pushing yourself to far. Once you wake up, the kitchen is fully stocked if you're hungry or thirsty, and there's a phone next to the bed if you want to call us. We're just cleaning up rubble and helping the injured now. If you go into the backyard, don't be surprised to see three baby tigers. They were fed a large meal this morning, so they won't be hungry. The white one is the leader, so if he likes you, his sisters will also.

After writing the note, Anthony leaves the guest room and enters his own. He powers up his computer and types in a command that will allow Sue's DNA to lock and unlock the doors in the house so she won't be trapped once he leaves. He exits his house, climbs into the car he had borrowed and drives it back to the exact place he found it. He sticks seven hundred dollars and a thank you note in the glove department, then speaks into his earpiece, "Where are you guys, Connor?"

Phoebe followed the others, seeing Sue and Anthiny. Where were they? Ah. Central Park. She remember when she had come here, she had loved it, and had had to restrain herself from being crazy and dancing around the plants.

She whimpered when she saw Sue stand there in front of the hulk. She looked tiny compared to him. She didn't want her friend getting hurt, even if she knew Sue could handle herself. But when the sound started, Phoebe cringed, curling up, hands over her ears.

When it was over, and Phoebe looked up, she saw Sue turn to them, and was relieved, until she stumbled and fell to the ground "Sue!" She whispered, even her own whisper sounding incredible loud to her now sensitive ears. She hoped that didn't last long. She wanted to go
There, to check on Sue but fear if she moved, the hulk would turn her attention to her, and destroy whatever plan Anthony had.

Connor was somewhat protected by his suit. That is, he would have been if Anthony, and some of the others didn't have his communicators, which amplified the sound even more for him, and he cried out. It lasted for what seemed like forever, but was probably only seconds as his transmitter fried. He stumbled, pain in that ear, but unable to do anything about it.

He glanced up when it stopped, tears swimming in his eyes for which he was glad no one could see.

He watched as Anthony stepped between Sue and the hulk.

Maybe Connor was wrong about him. He still didn't have to like him, but maybe he was wrong about him. Trust was hard to come by though. Still, why would he put himself between Sue and the hulk? Connor watched, puzzled.

When Anthony spoke to him, Connor if course couldn't hear it as his transmitter was baked. But he knew what to do now in any case.

"Alright guys, clean up duty is for us" he said, his voice not sounding loud enough for him. "Let's get started. Anyone injured?"

This caused Phoebe to sigh, but she nevertheless took down the plants and things she had grown, enabling access to city streets again. She looked about, to see if there were any injured civilians

Katherin looked around. There was a lot of destruction she couldn't do anything about. She couldn't fix overturned cars, uprooted trees,and huge pieces of cement. Those thing she would have to leave to others. Looking found a few things that she could fix though. Katherin began picking up the smaller debris near her.

Phoebe found a few injuried predestrians. None serious, thank goodness, but a few had broken bones. Unable to properly splint the breaks, she used vines to at least stabilize them. She made sure more professionally medical help was on the way, and asked Connor to check they had a clear path to here
And any injured.

Connor did so, but only after checking on Austin, which might be selfish of him, but he needed to make sure his friend was okay. He flew a bit unstable, the pain in his ear a constant throb. He landed shakily, pushing a car out the way of a road, hearing sirens

As the crisis reached its climax and the Hulk had been herded into Central Park she herself headed high up. She knew what was about to be unleashed and she didn't want to get caught in that again. She didn't relax however, her hands surrounded by purple glowing orbs were pointed at him - just in case. Luckily it wasn't needed; she couldn't be sure of exactly what happened but Hulk shrunk down to that of a man and after the chaos peace fell, as peaceful as a just ravaged city could be. Flying down she joined the others to see what was next. It was obvious really, clean up the city but how exactly does one do that, it was a whole city, not a house after a party.

Following the group which went into the city she looked around at the destruction. She wasn't a doctor, ambulances would need to get access to the streets so that's what she set her mind to. She was strong enough to be able to shift the cars and concrete and lamp posts and whatever else may be in the way to the side of the streets, opening them enough so vehicles could get through.
