Sounds like you've missed some stuff. I'll start from the top.

1. Kijani is Amanda Waller's granddaughter.

2. When Kijani was 11, she got kidnapped and experimented on for a while by a corporation called Alpha. She escaped on her own and has never been the same.

3. Fast forward 6 years- Kijani works with Anthony Luthor after Anthony divulges that his father and her grandmother were in charge of the creation of Alpha. Kijani agrees to work with Luthor to get answers.

4. Kijani is present when Anthony goes to usurp his father. Anthony paralyzes her and locks her powers before shipping her off to Waller.

5. Waller visits Kijani... and breaks her already crumbling psyche. Removes her humanity. Makes her an object. Tells her she exists for people to use her, and lines up truthful examples of that happening.

6. Meanwhile, Anthony recruits Connor to rescue Kijani.

7. ...you'll see.
