The thing about lemon juice being an antidote for spicy stuff is absolutely true. I tried it first hand after overdoing it with some siracha. It works immediately.

It's pretty logical. The spieces and oils in hot and spice foods create the oil on the tongue, and lemon being acidic (could probably use orange too) cuts through it, releasing the spice. The be completely honest, you could probably just use coca cola. That goes through everything. It even eats rust! Hence why I don't drink it anymore
