The sun rises over the gleaming steel roof of the Academy's main hall, while the ring of a century-old bell echoes loudly over the crowded school grounds. Bruce Wayne, AKA the Batman, strokes his salt and pepper beard while gazing at his new students through his office window. "After last year's fiasco, I'm glad the Academy is operational once again. I can only hope that the new recruits won't turn out like the last ones." A knock at his door interrupt's Wayne's train of thought. He quietly says, "Come in, Mr. Brock."

Johnathon, the son of Eddie Brock, strolls confidently into the room before dropping into the seat across from his principal's desk. "You wanted to see me, Mr. Vengeance?" he asks with a slightly smug grin on his face.

"Did I tell you to sit down, Mr. Brock?"

The smirk slides off of John's face, only to be replaced with a more fearful look as he slowly stands up. "I'm sorry for the disrespect Mr. Wayne. Did you need me?"

Wayne nods as he stands up and turns to look at all of the new faces once again. "As one of the only returning students, I expect you to step up and be an example for your new class mates. I'm not asking you to be their friend, but I do expect you to make sure they know their way around campus and what's expected of them. Understood?"

John sighs, "Oh this is just great. I go here for four years, and how am I greeted on the first day of school? By being ordered to welcome a bunch of snot nosed punks." With a frown, he continues, "I guess I don't have a choice though. This isn't a democracy, it's a dictatorship, and you're in charge. That's how it's always been."

"And that's how it'll always be, Brock. Now go and let Ms. Gordon know we're open for business." Wayne walks through a side door into another part of his office, leaving John to see himself out.

John grumbles angrily as he makes his way out of the principal's office. As he passes Barbara Gordon, head of security, he mutters, "Bats says it's showtime." He makes his way to the front of the school and waits for the rush of the students as the glass doors open automatically.

"~Bahbahbah, and they all.fall.dead.~"

Edge easily drifted through the crowd of students with a sense of purpose, ignoring their cries of annoyance whenever he accidentally, or not accidentally, tripped them with small, unnoticeable roots of Shadow Energy planted in the ground. He had already explored the school's ground - well, mentally, anyways, using the Shadows and Darkness to his advantage by feeding it into the ground. The little roots and slivers of energy took it's time worming throughout the campus, but Edge was almost certain that he had at least a rudimentary understanding of his surroundings.

"Hey, watch where you're going!" A rather rotund male, African American in descent, yelled at the frail, pale form of Edge, whom only stared at the boy with somber, endless black voids. The boy stumbled, creeped out, but eventually regained his bearings and attempted to brutally shove Edge. Keyword: Attempt. Edge was 100x stronger then what this fool would ever be, but just out of boredom he went with the shove, falling backwards like a sack of potatoes and instantly melding into the asphalt, sinking into his own shadow. As the fat guy, along with a few others whom watched the spectacle, searched around confusedly for the black-haired teen, Edge appeared in the shadows of a Lamp Post closest to the glass doors of the school.

"~But we can't count on Death~"

With his arms casually resting in the folds of his straitjacket-turned-hoodie, Edge entered through the automatic glass doors, noting the figure of a boy a year or two older than him apparently waiting on the students. "~So...we all Just. Die.~" he finally finished his humming of the sadistic, demented song, sliding the black earbuds out of his ear and glancing up at the taller male. He seemed...annoyed. By something. Whatever.

Edge completely bypassed the man, seemingly in his own world as he, once again, disappeared into his own shadow and appeared a few feet away from where he was originally, resting lazily against the wall while waiting on the other students.

This would be interesting,yes?

Katherin didn't really care for crowds. She wasn't much of a people person. She was uncomfortable being surrounded by so many people she didn't know so Katherin stayed towards the edges of the crowd. She wasn't sure about attending this big of a school even if it was specially geared towards unique people like herself. Maybe she would fit in better here then she had anywhere else.

Pheobe pulled her long, red hair back into a pony tail as she walked through the crowd. Growing up in an orphanage, you got use to moving around people, and doing so unseen. Sneaking out of yor parents house, that was easy, compared to sneaking out of an orphanage. She moved around people without barely being noticed. Her mother, who she hadn't ever seen, had told her that she should do all she could to be the best. So, she was here, at this academy. And she would do it. She would become the best. And then, maybe, just maybe, her mother would tell her where she was, or she would know who her father was. Maybe one day, she would know where she came from.

She sighed, "wistful thinking there pheebs, that's all it is" she muttered to herself, then took a deep breath, making sure she looked okay, and felt okay. She glanced about, seeing that she had come up to the entrance, glass doors. She stared at them, suddenly nervous. "You wanted this. You're here. So suck it up" she once again muttered to herself. She stepped towards the door.

Conner moved quietly through the crowd, not making eye contact with anyone, simply trying
To stay out of anyone's way. Her carried a backpack, inside it the fold-a-blue suit that was the only thing his father had ever given him, in the hopes that he would be More like him. Well, he enjoyed building things, so that was one check. Fighting? Well that's why he was here. He ducked around a group of students, and found the entrance. He saw a girl talking to herself, figured she was new as well. But he didn't go to speak with her

Most students arrived in by large buses, gathering, amassing on the paths to the front gates. Teens and young adults of varying sizes, powers and even colours littered the front of the Academy, moving along like a gaggle of geese – back (or in this case, going) to their (new) nest.

It was expected that the Academy was to bring a new light and future for the enlisted people. It is, after all, what the Academy aims to do: to train people to achieve a purpose in life, be it good or evil. Faces of determination and brightness could emanate brilliance and chivalry but ultimately sprout an evil future. To be frank, anything could happen in the Academy. There was no real bias or standard for how prospective superheros/super villains were supposed to behave. Not to mention, alliances were forged with years of endured camaraderie and brotherhood. This, of course, came from a good form of sociability, your personality and, needless to be mentioned, how powerful you were with your abilities.

Taking this into consideration, and how she was brought to the Academy with two bodyguards to her side after exiting an armoured six-wheeled van, Sue didn't think the Academy bode anything well for her.

Her whole life she’d communicated not only with sign language with peers from her specialized school and life, she’d also learnt various art forms that projected her emotions and messages far better than anything a person could ever say. It was a talent, a passion, a lifestyle that Sue relished in. She waxed euphoric to the beauty of music and voices, and the sight of fluidity, dynamics and almost formlessness of dancing. She was adored by many: the mute girl with the loudest voice.

Now, Sue was nothing more than a threat to the well-being of those around her. Eyes converged to the sight of the 20 year old, 5’3” red head. It was the wrong message being invoked. Her powers allowed her to collapse an entire building with the aid of any sound, for instance, her clapping. How unfortunate for a girl who loves hearing and listening so much to be cursed with this devastating power. She did not mean any harm, but with large, security men around her, and large ear-muffs to deafen Sue perpetually, it was not going to be well for her.

Sue didn't think the school would do much for her. Her life was forever changed with this spontaneous mutation. Most of all, she’s afraid no one knows sign-language here.

It was way too early for this. Having to wake up to this? For what? Nothing.Just so they could be learn to be good little heroes. He knew what to do. He was an Allen. Being a hero was in their blood well that's what Dad said at least. Most students arrived by bus. But why should he? Heck he could run there and he did. He had run from his apartment to get here. Ryan Allen ran up with a traill of dust behind him, dodging students, lamp posts, anything he did not want to hit. That would be bad. To be known as the klutz on your first day here. He slid to a stop right in front of the doors. Ironically he slid next to a girl who appeared to be talking to herself. Ever the ladies man Ryan looked at the girl and said. "Hey. You new here too? I'm Ryan. Ryan Allen. " He said offering her his hand to shake. He figured having a friend would be nice.

Jack had ofcourse been early. He always tried to be. not that it was easy. He really did not like using the webslingers. He could not wait till his organic ones came in. That would be great. He landed near the enterance of the building. Some skinny guy was talking to some girl. Atleast his wall climbing had come in. He used it to repell down the wall. Once he was down he sat down on a nearby bench and took out a book. Some random book he had picked up at home. He was not really reading it. Honestly he was wondering where in the world Ben was. he should have been here by now.

The nice thing about being at the back edge of the gathering is that it gave Katherin a chance to watch as people arrived. Katherin enjoyed watching people. She wondered what stories each of these people had to tell. People were almost as interesting as books. Katherin could hardly wait for the assemble to be over so that she could check out the schools library. It would be quiet there. Sometimes it was nice to get away from all the noise of school.

Zero was flying at high speed on his light construct shaped as a skate board, he had on of his hands in his pockets and was standing up straight as he flew threw the sky towards the school, he had a calm look on his face with a small smirk on his face; he didn't like being told what time he should show up, if he didn't have to come at such an early time he would have walked here or would have flown more slowly and would have enjoyed himself, he soon could see the school where he was and started to go even faster," About time I was thinking that it wasn't gonna be here for a minute." said to himself.

When Zero gotten closer to the school he looked down to see a considerable amount of students arriving or waiting out side," Great I came early." he said with a slight chuckle, before Zero could even fully enjoy his joke, he jumped from the construct towards the ground, he was heading towards the ground like a stone, but before he could even touch the ground he turned into a small black cat and landed on a student that was sitting on a bench and reading a book, Zero landed on the student's lap and looked up to him.

Jack had be reading rather peacefully. He liked this quiet. Course he figured that this would never work. He was shocked that it had gone for so long. He expected something to go wrong. Of course it did. As he was reading a black cat suddenly fell into his lap. He knew that this could not be a coincidence. He looked at the cat confused. "Uhh? Hello? Who or what the heck are you?" He asked confused.

Got a pedigree? I mean got any parents like that? " He asked sort of curious since he had no idea about any parents with cat powers.

Zero laughed at him, but stopped wondering who spiderman was," My parents didn't actually want anything to do with me actually, one was always busy and the other just didn't want me at all, so I grew up on the street and in a brothel, wait who the hell is spiderman ? Some type of eight armed man that eats people ?" he asked curious about Spiderman Zero stood up on all four legs then a large puff of smoke surrounded him and he turned back into his human form sitting on the bench with his legs crossed and arms as well.

Who the heck did not know who Spider-man was? Heck everyone knew. This guy really did not know? Odd? Well not as odd as him suddenly becoming a human. Well talking cat turning into people. Whatever. "You really do not know who Spider-man is? Guy with the powers of a spider. My brother Ben and I a\have basically the same powers. So we knew we would go here. "Wait so that is your power? Turning into Cats? Odd little power."

Zero chuckled and pulled down his hat just above his eyes," Nope, I'm part witch and magic, so I control magic and light constructs, and the name spiderman isn't ringing any bells for me, it still sounds like the name of a old horror movie about a man that's a spider. Turning into a cat is me using my magic." Zero told him.

Kori

The boy was awakened by the serene and comforting voice of the wolf called Moira. "Awaken child, today is the day for learning..." Moira spoke, tapping the boy with her paw. Kori rolled out of bed literally and hit the ground, he got up and did his hygienic routine and got dressed, he was curious about this school he'd be attending. "Wolf mother, I'm ready to depart.." He spoke to her, with that, she opened a rift within the room. His school was shown before him, he fearlessly went forward and found himself in front of the school's main entrance.

Jack
Jack looked really confused. This guy really had no idea? Okay whatever this was new. He had never met someone like this. Most people looked at him fun because of who his parents were. He looked at Zero. "Wow. Magic? My powers really come from science. Well an accident. Easy way would be to show you. See that wall over there. " He said pointing at the wall near them. He walked over to it and placed his hands on the wall and climbed up it with easy. While still sticking to the wall he turned to Zero and yelled over to him "See Spider powers. Not flesh eating man spider thing." While he was up there he saw some guy appear in front of the school. Odd. Another strange guy. Jack dropped down in front of the new guy. "Wow nice trick! How did you do it?" He asked quickly. He was a bit in the guy's personal space.

Kijani Ryane

Kijani looked out of the tinted window from the backseat of her Rolls-Royce, looking over what was going to be her new home for the foreseeable future. Her driver had parked just far away enough not to get too much attention. Most of the students were already arrived, or so it seemed. They seemed like normal teens, if you overlooked the occassional glow, or odd skin color, or extra appendage. Briefly she wondered what that would be like, growing up with a difference that you couldn't hide. She'd gotten lucky, in a way. Her power was invisible until she chose to show it. She could have gone through life and no one would have been the wiser. That had been her plan, too, up until a month ago.

Thanks to her grandmother, who spent the better part of her life around various heroes and villains, she'd been convinced to come to this place. Unlike her parents, her grandmother had fully embraced Kijani's powers, and was going to make sure she learned to use them wisely, and make something of herself. She'd been certain her granddaughter would flourish and grow here, and Kijani had never been steered wrong by the woman before. Kijani loved her grandmother dearly, and wanted to be as cool-headed and intelligent, as powerful as she was. Hopefully this place would teach her that.

"Miss Ryane?" Her driver was speaking. "Would you like me to drive to the front?"

"No, thank you, Charlie. This is fine." Kijani grabbed her things, smoothed her fine, wine red suit, and tucked back her dreadlocks. "I'll be fine." That part was more of self-reassurance than anything else. "...well, here goes." She was going in strictly under her own power. No one knew who her grandmother was- she'd made certain of that- and her parents' money and influence meant nothing here. Her reputation was hers to build. It was high time to lay the ground work.

She exited the Rolls and shut the door behind her, squaring her shoulders and making sure to express confidence in every motion. Then she started walking toward the main building.

Cassius
Cassius eyed the kid who had crawled up the wall, he was surprised to see that someone else could do what he did. He raised his right foot off the ground slightly before stepping down, boosting him off the ground and toward the wall. He stuck to it with his hands and feet before standing on the wall and taking his hands off of it. He looked down at the kid who displayed similar powers and the other boy who had walked away, his arms crossed.
