According to BODMAS, we do what is in brackets first (9+3) which is 12. Then we do multiplication and division from left to right. 48/2 = 24 * 12 = 288.

What needs to be clear is that when doing BEDMAS division and multiplication are actually on the same level, to be done left to right. Same applies to addition and subtraction
