Medieval Pokemon RP... with a twist!

Hello everyone!

I'm planning on starting a Pokemon RP. But before you say "oh no, not another one of those!", I have an idea that differs from other Pokemon RP. This RP will take place in a medieval setting composed of one landmass and two nations that are about to break out into war. Not only that, but I plan to insert one of the things I started to RP when I was very young. For now, I will call them Shifters, or people that can shift into Pokemon. These Shifters will be hunted by mankind for sport; they can be turned into slaves or simply killed.

The plot is very loose, leaving a lot of wiggle room for the players' ideas. The plot is that both kingdoms break out into war. That's about it. There will not be any group of "good guys" or "bad guys"; humans can betray their kind and join the Shifters, and vice versa. A knight can betray their kingdom and commit espionage on their own country. It is your choice.

Oh, and did I mention that legends and shinies will be allowed in moderation?

Quick question. What kind of restrictions are you putting on legendaries? I don't know if I'll use one yet, but I want to know my options.

Well, basically, I will make legendaries a little bit stronger than normal final-evolution Pokemon. That way, they can be beat. Also, nobles are the only ones that can have legendaries. I made them a trademark of people from noble houses. For instance, if someone sees a man or woman walking down the street with a Xerneas following them, they can easily say "oh wow, they must be someone extremely important". It's to prevent overflow of legendaries, ya know?

I once joined a medieval pokemon rp before it had some interesting elements.

Such as being medieval pokeballs were not invented yet and thus pokemon had to be tamed the old fashioned way. Also limiting tamers to only a few pokemon.

Are there any other noteworthy things that would make this rp unique?

The taming and bonding will be required. Also, characters may only have one Pokemon each.
Along with the legends, shinies, and the Shifters, that's about it. :3

Sounds pretty neat. Though what about mega evos? also what medieval time period? Before or after they discovered gunpowder/got it form china? And what would the upper limts of chemistry be?

Lucario because he's my absolute favorite Pokemon. And Honedge because, well, every knight needs a sword.

I'm interested very interested indeed. I'll call Haxorous line, a noble with Yvetal(if that's allowed), and a Noivern shifter if we can role-play those.
Question, Can shifters be trainers?
