Altha Menethora

Name: Altha Menethora of clan Sabrae

Race: Dalish Elf

Class: Rogue specialization Bard

Personality: A cheerful and kind man, having been one of the few Dalish to live outside of the clans how ever he is a member of clan Sabrae being a close friend to the hero of Ferelden and knew Merrill pretty well before she left. He is very understanding of humans and dwarves having traveled extensively in their lands. Often says jokes at the wrong moment but is charismatic enough to make up for it. Most of all he’s fun to be around, making even Qunari smile.

Origin:
Growing up with Tamlen and Mahariel he hunted alongside them with their clan before discovering his talent for stories and song, especially those of in Elvish having taught himself how to write it despite the keepers warnings. Working as a spy for the clan he returned just after the Keepers death saddened he left to tell the news to Mahariel who was currently serving as commander of the Grey Wardens in Ferelden. During his trip to see her he encountered Leliana under the assumptions that she was a spy both knowing that they were bards this quickly ended with arrows in bookshelf knives in walls before the Warden calmed them down.

Leliana impressed with Altha’s skill she decided to recruit him to work as a spy for her agreeing he began to work in exchange for safe passage for his clan into Orlais. Since he Inquisition has formed he has been tasked by Leliana to meet with her contacts and lead them in search of the Templar's who are tainted by Red Lyrium. With his experience near human, dwarves, and Qunari he was the first choice, however his secondary objective is try and unite the elves in the land given to them in Ferelden.

His singing is pitch perfect and he knows almost as many stories as Varric (Though most of his aren't lies about his friends.) and sings as perfectly as Leliana. (Whom claims that her voice is better, a contest is to be held after the rift is closed and Red Templar's defeated.) He is devoted to old Elven gods and hopes to see them restored. He also dabbles in alchemy though is only able to make stink bombs and smoke grenades.

So I'm curious about the decisions made prior to where this roleplay begins. Whose on the throne, for example? Just so I can change my head canon around where I need to xD

Well right now the Inquisition has just arrived in Skyhold and the Inquisitor has just been named so were doing this while they search for information on the Grey Wardens. I so we shall progress with the game once we start but that's were we are at when we start. For past events the Hero of Ferelden is alive and is a male Dalish elf who romanced Leliana. Hawke is a female warrior (Because I like Bethany better or she would be a Mage.) she romanced Merrill (Because puppy dog eyes and Fenris and Anders are to moody and Aveline or Varric isn't a choice.) and supported the Mages as the Inquisition does. The Inquisitor will be a male a Elf for now as I like the idea of Elves finally getting respected by humans and playing a important part. Also we now have a OOC! Click here

Okay great! That all sounds fine to me. So, is Anora or Alistair on the throne? It might not make a difference in regards to the roleplay but just in case it happens to come up in conversation. Oh, and I have another question. Are we going to be spending time in Skyhold or will we be based elsewhere? I imagine we'll constantly be moving anyway but still. Last one (for now); Do we all know eachother when the roleplay starts or is it our first time meeting the team when we come together in Denerim? Can't wait to start this, by the way :D I need my Dragon Age fix now that I've completed my first playthrough. I'm trying not to start a second just yet because it takes up aaaall my time xD I can't pull myself away!

Appearance
Though Katari towers over most other races like the majority of his kind, standing at 6'8, he is slightly shorter and has a smaller frame than other male Qunaris. He keeps his long, snow white hair loosely tied in three messy braids. His skin is a pale grey color and his eyes are a piercing silver, though they seem to hold a certain sadness in them. He has two large horns that curve towards the back of his head and two smaller horns, more like notches really, that sprout from the base of each of his larger ones. His ears are pointed, though not as large as a elf's, and he has two piercings in his left one. The robes he wears are worn and tattered, seeming to have been through some tough times. He wears Vitaar most of the time, only ever removing it when he feels that there are no threats near by which is very rare. He has a set of scars around and on his lips that looks like they were sewn together at one point.

Personality
Cold, quite, menacing, or in other words how most would describe the typical Qunari. Despite him being Tal-Vashoth Katari doesn't find the appeal of random violence and bloodshed, he finds it pointless and would not degrade himself by stooping to partaking in it. He is not one to mince words or for talking in general, but when he does speak his words are always true, straight to the point, and more than a little blunt. He has a very black and white outlook on things with almost no room for a grey area inbetween. He doesn't grasp most social arts, such as sarcasm which he takes seriously most of the time or sexual innuendoes which just completely go over his head all together. He is more likely to side with the underdog in most matters as they are the ones he can relate to easier. To the few that are able to obtain his loyalty they get it completely, him being ready to aid said people face Archdemons in a moments notice.

Origin
Katari once was a Saarebas who served a particularly cruel Arvaarad who was stationed on the island of Seheron. After years of having his powers abused by his Arvaarad Katari was given his first taste of freedom after his Arvaarad was killed in a Fog Warrior attack. Katari just barely survived the attack himself and was finally free, but since he was left out of the supervision of a handler he was now considered contaminated by the standards of the Qun. Not wishing to be put to death for merely being free he went on the run in a land where virtually everything wished to kill him, officially making him Tal-Vashoth. But much to Katari's fortune he wandered into the care of a group of elven slaves fleeing from their Trevinter master. The group took Katari in, nursing his wounds and even undoing the stitching on his lips that his Arvaarad put there to "prevent corruption". He in turn started protecting them as they all made their ways away from Seheron, which they did successfully. The group made it to the Free Marches before they ran into trouble in the form of Templars who didn't take kindly of a group of elves traveling with a Qunari apostate. Despite all of their best efforts the Templars managed to kill the group of former slaves and was about to strike Katari down before a young woman intervened at the last moment. The woman turned out to be Leliana and she offered Katari a chance to right the wrong that had been done to his friends and prevent anymore injustices like this from happing ever again.

Though one would not know it by just looking at him, but Katari is what the Qunari call an Aqun-Athlok, or in other words a woman who chooses to be a man.
